POSITION SUMMARY

The Sporting Kansas City Accountant is a key member of the Finance Team. This individual is responsible for recording revenue and paying invoices by verifying and completing receivable and payable transactions. In addition, the Accountant updates, maintains files and reports financial information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process mail daily, including routing AP invoices to department leaders and preparing bank deposits for payments received.
  • Enter and pay all invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization for payment.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and bank statements received monthly.
  • Answer and respond to all customer and vendor inquiries on a timely basis.
  • Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
  • As required, assist in creating various accounting reports that display overall business performance and financial position.
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with internal controls and accepted accounting practices.
  • Achieve the day-to-day and month end operational objectives of the Finance Team.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Development Manager for Sporting Kansas City leads and drives business development in new or emerging markets by generating revenue, creating business partners and renewing contracts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Serve as a Corporate Partnerships revenue generator, focused on creating innovative solutions for next generation Sporting Club partners.
  • Work and collaborate with the Director of Corporate Partnership Sales to effectively and strategically enhance Sporting Kansas City’s corporate partner base.

The Gate Ambassador for Sporting Kansas City greets fans upon entry, as well as examines and scans tickets for all ticketed events at Children’s Mercy Park.

The Safety and Security Intern for Sporting Kansas City will have the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of the safety and security group while assisting in day to day and game day functions. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Become familiar with Safety and Security policies and procedures for stadium events.
  • Assist with the implementation of programming and initiatives to educate staff and fans on the Safety and Security policies and procedures.

The Junior Designer for Sporting KC assists in providing direction for the creative side of the Marketing Team by developing and executing creative concepts and branding, ensuring the organization is consistent and communicating a cohesive message through all channels of client and public facing entities.   • Create great design that supports Sporting Kansas City and Swope Park Rangers marketing initiatives, under the direction of the Creative Director and Vice President, Marketing.
