POSITION SUMMARY

The Administrative Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to provide assistance to support the National Training Center and Sporting Kansas City’s operations, vision, mission and goals through planned work activity, while additionally providing support to all associates, guests and vendors. The Administrative Coordinator creates and disseminates professional and timely communications to all individuals, as well as graciously greets and directs guests, both in person and on the phone.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage all general functions of the office building.
  • Engage service providers for various NTC and Sporting Kansas City events as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support to all building tenants and associates.
  • Answer all phone calls kindly and professionally while directing calls as appropriate.
  • Act as the contact person for all external entities.
  • Sort and distribute mail.
  • Order and maintain office supplies.
  • Act as, or schedule someone to act as, a courier service between NTC and Sporting Kansas City locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Report to the Director of Corporate Partnership Sales to effectively and strategically enhance Sporting Kansas City’s corporate partner base.
  • Serve as a Corporate Partnerships revenue generator, focused on creating innovative solutions for next generation Sporting Club partners.
  • Consistently exceed daily call and appointment targets while using traditional and innovative interpersonal communication tactics.

POSITION SUMMARY

Coaches for Sporting Stripes are responsible for expanding the early childhood soccer program by leading and assisting in sessions based on the Sporting Stripes curriculum.

Platforms could include, but are not limited to social media, mass email marketing, digital newsletters, and digital content on SportingKC.com & our Academy Affiliate websites.
  • Request, update, and potentially design various marketing collateral necessary to effectively market SKC Youth Soccer
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all current and potential SKC Youth Soccer marketing, & communication efforts

POSITION SUMMARY

Sporting Kansas City’s Facility Engineer maintains the mechanical operation of all company buildings, as well as the general upkeep of the structure.  The Facility Engineer is responsible for maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, aesthetics and cosmetics.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for the mechanical operation of all buildings, including the corporate office, Children’s Mercy Park and Swope Soccer Village.
  • Respond to work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide technical and fiscal opinions and expertise in evaluating building maintenance issues and repairs, as well as collaborate with the Senior Building Engineer on cost estimates and work order resolution.
  • Assist with drywall, as well as paint and help with all building additions.
  • Maintain building integrity and cosmetic appearance, as well as assist in choices regarding cosmetic appearance.
  • Responsible for all plumbing by repairing broken copper lines and ensuring proper pressures.
  • Troubleshoot any electrical problems.
  • Ensure that all buildings are up to city codes and safety levels.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance of all HVAC equipment, lighting, electrical, plumbing, drywall and painting.
  • Maintain logs of all equipment repairs and warranties.
  • Perform repairs to equipment, as necessary.
  • Conduct inventory, as well as monitor and inspect equipment as needed.
  • Ensure that all associates follow standard safety precautions, and respond to any building-related safety concerns.
  • Respond to all building related safety concerns.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Part-Time Facility Specialist will primarily assist the Facility Manager in the general maintenance of all Sporting Fields + Athletics facilities. This individual will help maintain and operate world-class facilities and all its assets. This includes training centers, fields and restrooms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure facility is operating according to the mission, vision and values of Sporting KC.
  • Prepare facilities for internal and external rentals.
  • Communicate and plan effectively with both internal and external partners and/or vendors.
  • Perform all operational needs of Sporting Fields + Athletics facilities. This could include complex maintenance, equipment repair, trash and recycling, opening and closing of gates and ordering and restocking of supplies.
  • Act as Sporting KC liaison on-site.
  • Assist with seasonal cleaning, filter changes and other generic building maintenance.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, problem detection and work on minor building projects.

The Fan Services Associate for Sporting Kansas City assists fans in locating seats during events at Children’s Mercy Park and works to ensure crowd behavior is positive and supports an enjoyable experience for all guests.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sporting Kansas City Finance and Accounting Intern will hold a temporary position within the company, with an emphasis on gaining hands-on experience in sports and finance and accounting.  This individual will assist the Finance and Accounting Department in recording revenue and paying invoices. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process mail daily, including scanning and routing AP invoices to department leaders.
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with internal controls and accepted accounting practices. 
  • Enter and pay invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization for payment.
  • Answer and respond to all customer and vendor inquiries on a timely basis.
  • Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
  • As required, assist in creating various accounting reports that display overall business performance and financial position.
  • Achieve the day-to-day and month end operational objectives of the Finance Team.
  • Represent Sporting Kansas City in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform other related tasks assigned.

Sporting Kansas City’s Night Sales Academy Associate will hold a temporary position within the company, with an emphasis on training and gathering practical experience in sales and service operations for a professional sports organization.  The Night Sales Academy Associate will gain hands-on experience, while collaborating in an environment full of learning opportunities designed to help all associates evolve their capabilities, challenge their strengths and reach their fullest potential. Essential Functions

POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations Coordinator, Sporting Fields + Athletics for Sporting Kansas City will provide guests with a safe and inviting venue, as well as experiences that are the best in Major League Soccer. This individual will assist the Operations Team in ensuring that Sporting KC facilities and fields are operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure the facility is operating according to the mission, vision and values of Sporting KC.
  • Collaborate with Sporting KC leadership to implement policies and procedures for operations at all Sporting Fields + Athletics locations.
  • Manage preparations facilities for internal and external rentals.
  • Communicate and plan effectively with both internal and external partners and/or vendors.
  • Perform all operational needs of Sporting Fields + Athletics facilities. This includes complex maintenance, equipment repair, trash and recycling, opening and closing of gates, ordering and restocking of supplies, etc.
  • Provide operational assistance for all Sporting Club-hosted tournaments, specifically facility preparation, on-site partner activation, tournament communications and staff assignments.
  • Assist with youth soccer initiatives and events, as needed.
