Duties/Responsibilities:
As a member of our corporate sales internship team you will be expected to serve as point of contact for current partners, renewals and prospects and is responsible for all sales process implementation.  Ensure that all facets of assigned sponsorship accounts are given service with professionalism, attention to detail and customized client focus.  This person will target a diverse group of important partners, renewals and prospects as well as internal contacts at all levels.  This position must support the organization’s mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence and competence, collaboration, and innovation.   • Learn and implement the sales process from introduction to closure including the following: prospect research, securing the meeting, conducting the pitch, follow-up strategies, finalizing terms and signed contract. 

Required Skills:

  • Professional appearance, attitude, and communication skills as well as the ability to work with others is expected.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point and other computer skills required. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support multiple high level positions. 
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.

We are looking for candidates interested in the area of Game Day and Event Operations.  Through this internship, the intern will be introduced to the behind-the-scenes operations of Sporting Park prior to and during Sporting Kansas City home games and other events, such as concerts.

Game Day 4-3-3 Raffle Seller - Sporting Kansas City (Kansas City, KS)

Are you a friendly, high-energy sports fan looking to make a difference in your role within the organization's game day structure as a 4-3-3 raffle ticket seller?  During each home game, 4-3-3 raffle tickets are sold to fans at Sporting Park with the proceeds benefiting The Victory Project, whose mission it is to help all kids thrive through life’s challenges.

This position requires an outgoing personality as sellers will be asked to approach fans attending the game in the tailgating area, on the main concourse, and in the stands.  This job is perfect for those wishing to give back to their community, looking to find out how non-profits function or what working for a professional sports organization is like.

This is a paid part-time seasonal position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage pre-game set up for designated raffle handheld device
  • Comfortably handle large cash transactions, and the sale and distribution of 4-3-3 raffle tickets throughout your work shift
  • Work to engage fans and spread awareness of 4-3-3 raffle program and The Victory Project by approaching fans
  • Problem solve quickly and efficiently; answer questions fans may have about the 4-3-3 raffle program
  • Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding designated sales goals per game

Hours: Approximately 4 hours each Sporting Kansas City home game. Must be at designated selling pre-game position 2 hours before kickoff, and sell through the 50th minute of each game.

Dates & Kickoff times of Games:

  • Friday, September 18 @ 6:00pm
  • Sunday, September 27 @4:00pm
  • Wednesday, October 21 @ 7:30pm

Qualifications:

  • Must be over 18
