Client Services Executive - Sporting Kansas City (Kansas City, MO)

Summary:

Sporting Kansas City is growing and currently looking for a highly motivated and passionate self-starter to join their Client Services Team. The ideal candidate must be an aggressive, experienced sales and service professional who leads by example, possesses the ability to establish solid business relationships, maintains a professional attitude and maximizes opportunities to increase revenue potential, drive attendance and retention.

Essential Duties & Obligations:
• Responsible for, but not limited to, the annual retention of season ticket members
• Fulfill season ticket member requests and questions via email, phone, face-to-face and administers invoicing and payment processes
• Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients and liaison between client services team and other teams within Sporting KC
• Enhance relationships with new and existing season ticket members to create new sales opportunities, and/or to renew, upgrade and ensure repeat business
• Generate a pre-determined minimum number of weekly out of office as well as in stadium “face-to-face” meetings to enhance the level of customer care
• Continually create and implement unique sales and service strategies, ideas and programs as a means of increasing retention rates and new business opportunities
• Contribute positively to the sales and service culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members
• Participate and contribute to daily or weekly sales and service team meetings and training sessions
• Attend all home games and non-soccer related events

Ideal Candidates Must Possess:
• One (1) to two (2) years of sales and service experience required. Preferably in sports but not mandatory
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or related field
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Self motivated, self-starter mind-set and positive attitude
• Strong work-ethic, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work non-traditional hours including weekends and holidays as needed

Game Day & Events Operations Intern -- Spring & Summer Semesters 2015 - Sporting Kansas City (Kansas City, KS)

Sporting Kansas City is looking for confident, hard-working, and innovative college or graduate- level students who are interested in an opportunity to earn course credits toward the completion of their degree, while obtaining practical experience in the world of professional sports.  We have redesigned our internship program to provide valued learning opportunities, hands-on experience, and the chance to have a direct impact on professional soccer here in Kansas City. We are looking for candidates interested in the area of Game-Day and Event Operations.  Through this internship, the intern will be introduced to the behind-the-scenes operations of Sporting Park prior to and during Sporting Kansas City home games and other events, such as concerts.

Multiple interns needed for 2015 Spring and Summer semesters.  THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP

REQUIREMENTS

·         At the time of the internship, have completed at least your sophomore year at a four-year accredited college institution or be enrolled in an accredited graduate program.

·         Must provide proof that you will receive credit through the internship toward the completion of your degree

·         Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (based on 4.0 scale)

·         Available for home matches and other events throughout the internship session (primarily evenings and weekends)

·         Interest and experience in competitive sports is preferred

Guest Services Intern - Summer 2015 - Sporting Kansas City (Kansas City, KS)

Sporting Kansas City is looking for confident, hard-working, and innovative college or graduate- level students who are interested in an opportunity to earn course credits toward the completion of their degree, while obtaining practical experience in the world of professional sports.  We have redesigned our internship program to provide valued learning and training opportunities that can be applied throughout the sports industry, hands-on experience, and the chance to be immersed in the culture and brand of Sporting Kansas City.

We are currently looking for students who are interested in the area of fan experience and guest services.  During this internship, the intern will work closely with the Guest Services Manager and be introduced to the behind-the-scenes operations of the stadium as they relate to fan experience and event programming initiatives for Sporting Kansas City home games and other events, such as concerts and meetings.  The intern will also learn about the staffing and management of stadium guest services staff.  

THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP

 

Requirements:

·         Junior or Senior standing and enrolled at an accredited institution

·         Minimum 3.0 GPA (based on 4.0 scale)

·         Available for home matches and events throughout the internship session (primarily evenings and weekends)

·         Ability to devote at least 30 hours per week throughout the internship program

Interest and experience in competitive sports is preferred
