Sporting Kansas City is looking for confident, hard-working, and innovative college or graduate- level students who are interested in an opportunity to earn course credits toward the completion of their degree, while obtaining practical experience in the world of professional sports. We have redesigned our internship program to provide valued learning opportunities, hands-on experience, and the chance to have a direct impact on professional soccer here in Kansas City.
We are looking for candidates interested in the area of Corporate Partnerships – Sales. In this program, the intern will learn the intricacies of the sponsorship sales process, including prospecting/targeting qualified companies, conducting the pitch, creating proposals based on a company’s objectives for partnership, follow-up strategies, finalizing terms, and supporting and serving current and potential clients. THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP

REQUIREMENTS
• At the time of the internship, have completed at least your sophomore year at a four-year accredited college institution or be enrolled in an accredited graduate program.
• Must provide proof that you will receive credit through the internship toward the completion of your degree
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (based on 4.0 scale)
• Available for home matches and other events throughout the internship session (primarily evenings and weekends)
• Interest and experience in competitive sports is preferred

Sporting Kansas City is looking for confident, hard-working, and innovative college or graduate- level students who are interested in an opportunity to earn course credits toward the completion of their degree, while obtaining practical experience in the world of professional sports.  We have redesigned our internship program to provide valued learning opportunities, hands-on experience, and the chance to have a direct impact on professional soccer here in Kansas City. We are looking for candidates interested in the area of Game-Day and Event Operations.  Through this internship, the intern will be introduced to the behind-the-scenes operations of Sporting Park prior to and during Sporting Kansas City home games and other events, such as concerts.

Multiple interns needed for 2015 Spring and Summer semesters.  THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP

Guest Services Intern - Spring 2015 - Sporting Kansas City (Kansas City, KS)

Sporting Kansas City is looking for confident, hard-working, and innovative college or graduate- level students who are interested in an opportunity to earn course credits toward the completion of their degree, while obtaining practical experience in the world of professional sports.  We have redesigned our internship program to provide valued learning and training opportunities that can be applied throughout the sports industry, hands-on experience, and the chance to be immersed in the culture and brand of Sporting Kansas City.

We are currently looking for students who are interested in the area of fan experience and guest services.  During this internship, the intern will work closely with the Guest Services Coordinator and be introduced to the behind-the-scenes operations of the stadium as they relate to fan experience and event programming initiatives for Sporting Kansas City home games and other events, such as concerts and meetings.  The intern will also learn about the staffing and management of stadium guest services staff.  

THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP

 

Requirements:

·         Junior or Senior standing and enrolled at an accredited institution

·         Minimum 3.0 GPA (based on 4.0 scale)

·         Available for home matches and events throughout the internship session (primarily evenings and weekends)

·         Ability to devote at least 30 hours per week throughout the internship program

Interest and experience in competitive sports is preferred

UI & UX Designer - Sporting Innovations (Kansas City, MO)

Sporting Innovations is currently seeking a UI & UX Designer to join our team. This role will be responsible for all design needs associated with our Uphoria mobile experience and will collaborate with internal stakeholders and agency partners in UX design. Additionally, this person will provide creative support for marketing and business development departments as needed.

  • Serve as lead designer for Uphoria and related creative projects.

  • Collaborate on development of UX associated with Uphoria.

  • Develop and execute creative materials in support of marketing and business development efforts when necessary.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 1-4 years of experience in graphic design or related field

  • Familiarity with Adobe After Affects, Final Cut and/or Adobe Premiere Pro is a plus

  • Strong creative, analytic and problem-solving skills

  • Proactive mentality with ability to work independently

  • Comfortable handling a demanding workload and high level of responsibility

  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in all aspects of job performance
