We are looking for candidates interested in the area of Corporate Partnerships – Sales. In this program, the intern will learn the intricacies of the sponsorship sales process, including prospecting/targeting qualified companies, conducting the pitch, creating proposals based on a company’s objectives for partnership, follow-up strategies, finalizing terms, and supporting and serving current and potential clients. THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP

REQUIREMENTS
• At the time of the internship, have completed at least your sophomore year at a four-year accredited college institution or be enrolled in an accredited graduate program.
• Must provide proof that you will receive credit through the internship toward the completion of your degree

Corporate Partnerships Business Analyst/Operations Coordinator - Sporting Kansas City (Kansas City, MO)

Summary:

Sporting Kansas City recognizes the power of technology, innovation, data, analytics, and customization that will in turn drive transformational change through evidence-based decision making for current and/or prospective marketing partners.  The Business Analyst/Operations Coordinator will be a key stakeholder within the Corporate Partnerships team.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRA’s):

·         Support execution and reporting of marketing partnership campaigns across multiple platforms to senior management.

·         Support business development by lead generation, category management, and overall market/industry landscaping.

·         Collaborate with other departments to answer challenging business questions that can assist us in gaining a competitive advantage by using data mining techniques.

·         Creates actionable insights through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address strategic business objectives.

·         Create engaging visualizations of data analyzed in order to depict outcomes.

·         Assist in daily administration and analyze all Corporate Partnership CRM/Partner Profile efforts.

·         Conduct fan study/panel that can be used for competitive revenue insights.

·         Cultivate and lead all efforts with external third party research firms.

·         Support both Corporate Partnership sales and activation teams on a daily basis.

·         Develop proposals, sales decks, and marketing partnership collateral pieces for new business development.

·         Ideate, creatively develop customized shock and awe campaigns for new business development.

·         Experience with Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Access, SQL and PowerPoint and also additional systems such as- Slide Rocket, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, CRM, and Ticketmaster Archtics.

·         Proficiency in proposal development and/or graphic design.

·         Experience with third party research firms such as Scarborough, Turnkey Intelligence, Repucom, SRI, Navigate, Sales Force, and IEG.            

·         Strong communication, prioritization, organization and excellent problem-solving/logic skills.

·         Service oriented; committed to teamwork and catering to customers.

Director of Marketing - Sporting Kansas City (Kansas City, MO)

Summary:

Sporting Kansas City is currently seeking a Director of Marketing to join our organization. This is a critical role on the marketing team as this individual will be responsible for executing campaigns and leading development of all materials produced by the department. Additionally, this person will represent the department in daily interactions with both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic and branding skills along with an eye for great creative.

Essential Duties & Obligations:

·         Manage and coordinate all creative output produced by the department.

·         Manage projects in support of concerts and special events held at Sporting Park.

·         Oversee execution of non-traditional initiatives and other events designed to promote the Sporting KC brand.

·         Manage relationships with club media partners, including television, digital, radio, outdoor, print and online.

·         Lead all e-mail marketing efforts for the club.

·         Execute programming for Sporting Club Uphoria mobile app on game days.

·         Handle all responsibilities associated with billing and invoicing in the department.

·         Run marketing internship program.

·         Manage relationships with third-party vendors and agencies.

              

Qualifications:

 ·         Bachelor’s degree required

·         Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in marketing or related field

·         Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

·         Experience in sports industry preferred

·         Strong creative, analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Proactive mentality with ability to work independently

·         Comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced environment with substantial responsibility

We are looking for candidates interested in the area of Game-Day and Event Operations.  Through this internship, the intern will be introduced to the behind-the-scenes operations of Sporting Park prior to and during Sporting Kansas City home games and other events, such as concerts.

Multiple interns needed for 2015 Spring and Summer semesters.  THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP

Video Operations Internship - Spring & Summer 2015 - Sporting Kansas City (Kansas City, KS)

Sporting Kansas City is looking for confident, hard-working, and innovative college or graduate- level students who are interested in an opportunity to earn course credits toward the completion of their degree, while obtaining practical experience in the world of professional sports.  We have redesigned our internship program to provide valued learning opportunities, hands-on experience, and the chance to have a direct impact on professional soccer here in Kansas City.

We are currently looking for Video Operations interns for the 2015 Spring and Summer Semesters.  Video Operations produces the game day television broadcast, in-stadium video board show, and a variety of web content.  In this program, the intern will have the opportunity to participate in all facets of production and improve his or her knowledge of control room and production equipment and software by working day-to-day with staff at the production facility. The internship will also enable the intern to push his or her level of creativity through shooting, editing projects and creating graphics.

The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter, possess strong attention to detail and take great pride in his/her work. The internship will challenge the applicant’s ability to multitask in a busy environment. The intern will be given every opportunity to learn all aspects of production, so the intern must be focused on broadening his or her video production skillset.

The intern shall intern with Sporting Kansas City for the number of hours required to earn his/her academic credit.  Dates of the internships are negotiable.  The intern must be available for home matches throughout the duration of the internship. The intern will be asked to commit to regularly scheduled office hours during the week and occasional nights and weekends. These hours are also negotiable.  This is an unpaid internship.
