Account Manager, Corporate Partnerships - Seattle Sounders FC (Seattle, WA)

Job Title:         Account Manager

SUMMARY

This position will focus on managing a portfolio of corporate partnership accounts for Seattle Sounders FC. This role requires a strategic-minded individual who is passionate about service, building impactful, objective-focused partnerships, and displays a positive, collaborative attitude that is line with the club’s vision, values, and objectives.  

The Account Manager will act as the lead in all partnership fulfillment duties, including: collaborating with assigned Sounders FC Corporate Partners to develop/implement strategic concepts, fulfill contracted elements, deliver first-class service and create/present timely wrap-ups, etc. Additionally, the Account Manager will work closely with the Sales Team. This includes: collaborating/ideating on creative activation and proposal concepts, preparing/revising partnership presentations, providing research as needed, updating sponsorship elements in inventory spreadsheets, assisting in securing renewals of current partners, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Partnership Marketing Fulfillment

·        Serve as a lead contact for all elements with assigned corporate partners

·        Plan and coordinate activation strategies and calendars for assigned accounts

·        Effectively manage the following core fulfillment responsibilities:

o   Match-day execution (on-site set up, in-game promotions, giveaways, presentations and hospitality)

o   Coordinating media elements (television, radio, print, social and web)

o   Events/promotion execution (retail marketing initiatives and non-game-day/community events and appearances)

o   Partner signage

o   Coordinating tickets, merchandising and hospitality elements

·        Enter and maintain all partner elements in inventory spreadsheets or CRM

·        Create and present wrap-ups as necessary for all assigned partners

·        Proactively develop new ways to establish strong relationships with assigned corporate partner accounts. Anticipate the needs of partners and communicate accordingly.

·        Additional duties as assigned

Partnership Marketing Team

·        Proactively participate in Partnership Marketing team operations (weekly meetings, assisting colleagues with events, promotions, hospitality and shared responsibilities on match days, etc.)

  Corporate Partnership Sales Team Support 

·        Collaborate as needed with Sales Directors regarding objectives, strategy and direction of shared partnerships

·        Assist with providing research or supporting information when applicable, including conceptualizing creative and innovative partnership opportunities

·        Create, operate and/or lead presentations during partner meetings

·        Individual must have a command for basic accounting principles to create recaps, manage budgets, etc.

Player Operations: Coach
Club Development Program Coach (Multiple positions available) - Seattle Sounders FC (Seattle, WA)

JOB TITLE: Club Development Program Coach (Multiple positions available)

DEPARTMENT: Soccer Programs

REPORTS TO: Director of Soccer Programs

STATUS: Part-time, hourly.  Hours will average 15-20 per week and shall not to exceed 30 per week.

DURATION:  Approx. April – November each year

SUMMARY
The Sounders FC Youth Club Development program is designed to provide local clubs with curriculum and coaching support to improve grassroots soccer programming.  Club Development Coaches will represent Sounders FC in leading local club training sessions, providing technical instruction, and supporting parent volunteer coaches within these clubs.

The Club Development Coaches will learn, follow, and lead training sessions using Sounders FC designed curriculum.  Coaches will be working with a variety of age ranges (5 to 12) and abilities each week and will be responsible for delivering high quality, engaging training sessions.

The Club Development Coaches will be responsible for helping volunteer coaches understand and run training sessions.  Coaches will use techniques such as demonstration, presentation, and active observation to help develop the volunteer coaches’ ability to understand and deliver training sessions based on Sounders FC curriculum.

The Club Development Coaches will be supported by and will interface with a dedicated liaison from the club.  The liaison will provide support, direction, and feedback to ensure each Club Development Coach has a positive and high impact experience.

Club Development Coaches will also be key members of our Summer Camp programming.  During this time, these individuals will be tasked with coaching their own groups, training other coaches and/or providing logistical help to camp operations.


The Club Development Coaches will participate in weekly educational meetings, as well as have the opportunity to work at additional camps and clinics througout the year. Club Development Coaches are expected to spend two (2) or more hours a week outside of the coaching support preparing for the upcoming week’s focus.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Curriculum and Metholody Implementation

·        Deeply familiar with Sounders FC curriclum and methodology and display a complete support of curriculum, methodology, and system organization

·        Ability to effectively carry out the curriculum and explain it to volunteer coaches

·        Comfortable coaching a variety of ages at grassroots level

Club Development Program Relationships

·        Bring energy, excitement and fun to build a love of the sport of soccer.

·        Build positive and energizing working relationships with players, club volunteer coaches and parents.

·        Be cordial and respectful when dealing with teams, players, parents, coaches and club staff

·        Be a source of information within the club for key personnel

·        Uphold Sounders FC values and represent the club and brand in a positive way at all times

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·        Professional/College playing experience preferred but not required

·        Premier level coaching experience preferred but not required

·        At least two years of coaching experience within soccer

·        USSF “D” license or NSCAA National Diploma highly preferred, however relevant playing or coaching experience may be suitable


QUALIFICATIONS

·        Must have strong leadership skills and as the ability to communicate effectively and clearly

·        Must have strong people and relationship building skills to connect with players, club coaches and parents

·        Must possess strong desire to grow soccer from a grassroots level

·        Must be extremely punctual

Coordinator of Video Production - Seattle Sounders FC (Seattle, WA)

Job Title:             Coordinator of Video Production

SUMMARY

Seattle Sounders FC is seeking a multi-talented videographer who enjoys variety in his or her editing work, can manage multiple priorities, and shoot and edit video for various channels. The Coordinator of Video Production will serve as an internal videographer capturing and editing footage for all things Sounders FC – including, but not limited to, matchday, digital and social, broadcast, in-game presentation, corporate partners, community, ticket sales and more. This individual must be a self-starter with an understanding of the professional sports landscape and type of content it requires. He/she will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and must be comfortable taking video briefs from start to finish, soliciting feedback and managing expectations during the creative process.  In addition, this person will contribute to larger video concept ideas for content across multiple channels and other duties as assigned by the Video Production Manager and Senior Director of Marketing & Digital.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

·        Produce, shoot and edit video content for various club departments as well as external stakeholders

·        Shoot match footage at all home and select away matches for all Sounders FC teams, including the first team, USL team (Seattle Sounders FC 2) and club academy

·        Cover training sessions for all teams, including practice and post-training interviews

·        Periodically travel with club for away matches, preseason camps and events

·        Fulfill internal corporate partnership, ticket sales and community video requests with a focus on creating video content that helps achieve the business goals of the club

·        Upload and publish videos to club’s content management system

·        Assist in video production for and management of club’s social platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat)

·        Manage internal video archives including broadcast melts and match footage

·        Set-up lighting and sound for interviews/studio shoots

·        Create motion graphics to enhance video features

·        Collaborate with Digital, Broadcast, Marketing and PR departments for content creation

·        Ability to work a non-traditional work schedule with both regular business hours and evening/weekends for matchday and events

·        Assist with content marketing idea generation to extend the club’s brand, increase consumption metrics and grow the fan base

Matchday Respsonsibilities

·        This role is expected to work all Sounders FC matches, with some travel required throughout the course of the season

·        Lead execution of team and match filming before, during and after the match as assigned 

·        Matchday oversight of video uploading and file management

·        Ensure quality control of all video assets submitted for Sounders FC and partner use

·        Ability to cut time-sensitive material as needed

·        Assist with creative strategy for videos on social, website and in-stadium 

QUALIFICATIONS

New Membership Associates will sell our full menu of ticket offerings including season tickets, group tickets and partial plans. New Membership Associates will be expected to make a minimum of 100 cold calls daily to businesses, individuals and past ticket buyers.

Player Operations: Coach
Youth Soccer Camp Coach - Seattle Sounders FC (Seattle, WA)

JOB TITLE: Youth Soccer Camp Coach

DEPARTMENT: Soccer Programs

REPORTS TO: Director of Soccer Programs

STATUS: Part-Time, Hourly

SUMMARY:

Sounders FC Youth Camp coaches will provide coaching instruction to kids ages 3 – 18 who have registered to participate in Sounders FC Summer Camps.

Coaches will be required to follow and teach the specific curriculum as it pertains to each individual topic of the day. Coaches will be responsible for being educated on the Sounders FC Summer Camp coaching curriculum and have an ability to teach the curriculum to children in every age group.  Coaching education will be provided at mandatory and paid orientation days.

Youth Camp coaches are also responsible for the safety of the children at soccer camp. Each camp coach will be provided with a Sounders FC Coaching Handbook and is required to be up to date and familiar with all rules, regulations, and policies regarding child safety.

Coaches are to assist the site director of each camp location in the day to day operations of each camp site, that includes and is not limited to, setting up camp drills, sorting equipment, checking kids into camp, distributing awards, and handing out supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching the Curriculum
• Study and learn Sounders FC 2015 Summer Camp Curriculum
• Effectively carry out the lesson plans and teach the kids accordingly based on their age level

Safety
• Manage the kids at camp to keep them safe
• Keep an eye out for any dangerous opportunities at camp site
• Keep the children under control and behaving in a manner to avoid injury

Operations
• Assist site director in setting up camp and closing camp each day
• Help sign children in and out of soccer camp
• Organize equipment each day
• Hand out prizes and awards
• Keep kids under control while site director is addressing the group

Customer Relationships
• Be cordial and respectful when dealing with parents at camp
• Direct any and all complaints to the site director in a calm and respectful manner

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Premier level soccer playing experience required
• College playing experience preferred but not required
• Experience in childcare preferred but not required
• Minimum “E” Coaching License or equivalent preferred but not required

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have strong leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively and clearly with children
• Must be very punctual
• Must have in-depth knowledge of the soccer so they can effectively teach it to beginners

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to effectively demonstrate soccer specific technical abilities
• Will be required to set up promotional material at youth camp locations
• Must be able to move and transport soccer various types of soccer equipment

• Must have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certificates

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• 95% of the work will be done in an outdoor environment
• Must be able to work a minimum of 18 hours a week
• Must be available to work a minimum of 6 weeks between June 16 and September 1
• Must be able to provide your own transportation to local camp locations
