Fan Services Account Executive - New York Red Bulls (Harrison, NJ)

COMPANY INFORMATION:

The New York Red Bulls are one of 20 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). They are one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, having competed in the league since its founding in 1996.   They currently play their home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. RBA, a state-of-the-art 25,000-seat stadium, is widely regarded as the top soccer-specific stadium in North America. The club is owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The first team features 2014 MLS Golden Boot Winner Bradley Wright-Phillips, U.S. international Sacha Kljestan, and several players with USMNT experience.  The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:
 

The Fan Services Account Executive is directly responsible for all revenue goals associated with a defined base of existing Red Members, including renewals, referrals, add-ons, groups and upgrades. This is achieved by providing world-class service, building excellent relationships with accounts, and delivering customized communications, events, programs, and benefits to the Red Bulls’ season ticket holders. Not only does the Fan Services Account Executive strive to improve Red Member retention rates by enhancing the fan experience, but a strong emphasis is also placed on growing the Red Member base through referrals and prospecting.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Required to perform the job)

 

      Manage, upsell and renew a personal portfolio of New York Red Bulls’ Red Members

      Deliver a superior customer experience by building and maintaining long-lasting relationships, providing proactive service and exceeding Red Member/fan expectations

      Assist in coordinating annual Red Member events, mailings, gifting, renewal campaigns, brochure designs, relocation events, and fence-sitter initiatives

      Liaise between internal and external departments to ensure all Red Members’ expectations are being met

 

EDUCATION:

 

                   Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

 

EXPERIENCE:

                    Minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer service/hospitality, loyalty marketing, event   management, and/or sales

                   Exceptional analytical, planning and project management skills

                   Excellent written and verbal communication skills

                   Team player in a fast-paced environment

                   Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point and other computer skills required

                   Comfort and experience interfacing with various levels of staff and management

                   Able to work varying schedules, including all Red Bulls home matches, some nights & weekends

POSITION PURPOSE:

 

The Inside Sales position is designed for those who are looking to grow their careers in the sports industry. This role provides the training and development plans needed to help set up future leaders & contributors to the club.

ESSENTIAL SALES FUNCTIONS:

 

·         Make a required minimum of 100 sales calls each day

·         Meet minimum requirement of face to face meetings in a week

·         Responsible for the sale of Full and Partial Season Tickets, and Group Ticket Packages to businesses, consumers, and youth soccer

·         Maintain a professional and personal network to proactively seek new business opportunities

·         Generate new business leads based on personal research and outreach

·         Meet or exceed established monthly revenue goals

·         Positively impact the sales culture by exhibiting passion, trust, and selflessness on a daily basis.

·         Provide customer service to existing season ticket holder accounts and fans

·         Assist with game day activities including sales tables and on field events

·         Uphold standards set forth by the club

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

 

·         Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office

·         Displays an Openness to Learning

·         Strong Interpersonal Skills required

·         Previous Job/Internship within the sports industry is preferred

·         Ability to work with a team

·         Must attend all home games and events at Red Bull Arena. (Nights, Weekends, and possibly Holidays required)

·         Strong desire to build a career in sales

Facility Operations/Security: Facility/Venue Management
Part-time Event Operations Staff - New York Red Bulls (Harrison, NJ)

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Event Operations Staff Program is designed to provide experience for individuals serious about pursuing a career in event and stadium operations.  The goal of the operations department is to provide Event Operations Staff with hands on experience in event operations at the premier destination for soccer in North America.  The Event Operations Staff schedule is driven primarily by the New York Red Bulls event schedule and remains flexible.  However, regular and consistent commitment to events throughout the regular MLS season is expected - March to November.

 
Event Operations Staff work directly with the Event Operations Manager during all events.  They also work closely with different New York Red Bulls and Red Bull Arena staff during the course of each event.  They are directly involved in the physical set-up of all event equipment, in-event logistics around Red Bull Arena, and breakdown of all activation space on event day.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

-          Perform stadium set-up, breakdown and logistics during events.

-          Provide operations and logistics support to various New York Red Bulls departments on event day.

-          Prepare event areas including but not limited to Locker Rooms, Player Tunnel, Team Benches, Arena Concourse and Plaza, The BULLevard and other activation zones, VIP Lobby and Hospitality Locations, Field Level, and other back of house locations.

-          Assist Red Bull Arena Operations will all aspects of stadium and event operations on event day.

-          Coordinate with other Red Bull New York departments to ensure successful event planning and execution (Event Marketing, Partnerships, Premium Services, Sales, Ticketing, Fan Services, Communications, Community Relations, Academy/Training Programs, and First Team Operations).

-          Assist other Red Bull Arena operations staff when support is required (Grounds, Facilities, Multimedia, Security, Cleaning, and IT)

-          Consistent season long event attendance is mandatory - March to November.

-          Attendance at marquee arena events and MLS Cup Playoff matches is mandatory. 

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

-          Individuals pursuing a career in Sport Management and event/stadium operations are preferred.

-          Must be able to multi-task and follow strict timelines.

-          Possess a strong work ethic, take a leadership approach, and is a self-starter.

-          Experienced in high stress, fast paced environments.

-          Succeed in a competitive team atmosphere.

-          Able to lift 30lbs, without strain.

-          Comfortable being active for extended periods of time. 

-          Must be able to commit to a significant portion of the event schedule at Red Bull Arena.

Candidates who possess skills in hands on work, who are detail oriented, and who take pride in event presentation are preferred.  A passion for soccer is a plus.

Player Operations: Coach
Youth Training Programs Coach - Red Bull New York (Harrison, NJ)

The first team features 2015 Goalkeeper of the Year Luis Robles, 2014 MLS Golden Boot Winner Bradley Wright-Phillips, U.S. international Sacha Kljestan, and several players with USMNT experience.  The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams. 

POSITION SUMMARY

The New York Red Bulls Youth Training Programs are currently looking to add experienced coaches to our player development staff. Positions are available within the following areas:

·         Community programs

·         Travel programs

·         Regional Development School (RDS)

Part-time positions are available in both NJ and NY including Westchester, NYC and Long Island. Coaches are eligible to receive up to a maximum of $1000 for out of state travel relocation expenses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Required to perform the job)

·         Required to be available five (5) afternoons/evenings per week plus weekends.

·         Required to be available Tuesday and Thursday mornings for staff training workshops

·         Working hours will be approximately 20 to 30 hours per week, over an eight to nine month period. A full availability coach typically works 6-7 days per week from March – November. This included coaching, administration duties and educational workshop attendance.

·         A coach’s working week is comprised of on field coaching hours, administration duties and attendance at mandatory staff training workshops in the spring and fall seasons. Both elements are paid at an hourly rate.

·         Employment typically begins mid to late March and runs through to late November or August and runs through to late November. The exact start and end dates are based upon the needs of each youth partner club.

·         Coaches who commit to a full availability employment contract also receive preferential assignments to double camp programs (30 hours per week) plus Residential camps. Additionally, coaches will also receive priority in scheduling of winter hours.

·         Coach is guaranteed a minimum of 180 coaching hours in the spring and fall season plus a minimum of one (1) 15 hour camp per week of the summer.

·         Coaches who commit to a full availability employment contract also receive preferential assignments to double camp programs (30 hours per week) plus Residential camps. Additionally, coaches will also receive priority in scheduling of winter hours.

·         Required to attend a mandatory paid pre-season orientation event

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Candidates must also hold a valid driving license and have their own vehicle for transportation

Candidates must have a clean criminal record
Must have 3 years previous coaching experience
Hold a recognized coaching qualification
Be over the age of 18

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of a USSF D license (2015+ USSF E license) or NSCAA National Diploma

International licenses are accepted including but not limited to a minimum of a FA Level 1
