Administration/General Management: Human Resources Generalist
Human Resources Director - New York Red Bulls (Harrison, NJ)

POSITION PURPOSE: (Position summary)

Overall responsibility for creating, managing and overseeing the New York Red Bull’s Human Resources function.  Responsibilities include, but are not be limited to, recruitment, compensation administration, benefits administration, employee communications, policy development, training and development, EEO/AA, workers compensation, employee wellness, and relations.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Required to perform the job)

Infrastructure at all locations

·            Manage a professional human resource function for the organization by serving as a human resource generalist with expertise in all functional areas: compensation, benefits, policy development, EEO/AA, employee relations, recruitment, and OD/training

·            Provide strategic human resource leadership and direction to the management team. Keeps management advised on a need-to-know basis of significant matters such as employee morale, local labor market trends, etc.  Recommends appropriate action programs as required.

·            Identifies New York Red Bull’s human resource objectives, formulates and recommends HR policies in support of them

·            Administers all aspects of the employment system.  Obtains approvals to fill all vacant positions.  Sets procedures.  Ensures that all open positions are filled with the best qualified candidates, in a cost effective manner, consistent with our status as an equal employment opportunity employer.

·            Coordinates interviewing activity between operating departments and HR.  Serves as a consultant to management in the recruitment and selection process.

·            Manage workers compensation claims including compliance with state laws and regulations.

·            Develop, administer, and support performance evaluation and management processes.

·            Oversees new employee orientation and exit interview process.

·            Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local reporting requirements.

·            Negotiate with outside vendors for HR related resources as business needs dictate.

·            Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:

      Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

·         Ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience managing an HR function of a mid-sized company.

·         Must have excellent interpersonal and external communication skills; ability to maintain smooth working relationships with all internal staff and management.

·         This individual should provide helpful and courteous customer service to all vendors and guests and have the ability to problem solve as needed.

·         Must be detail-orientated, ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner, be well organized and able to prioritize efficiently, and have excellent oral and written skills.

 Overview:

The New York Red Bulls are currently seeking hardworking and passionate individuals who want to become the next sales leaders in the sports industry. These individuals will be placed in a career growth driven program and will be trained and mentored to take the necessary steps to become an integral part of the organization. Every rep will be responsible for generating ticket sales revenue by selling season tickets, partial plans, and group ticket packages for the New York Red Bulls, as well other events at Red Bull Arena.  Sales will culminate through cold calls, out of office appointments, and in-arena tours.  Previous selling experience is preferred, but is not a contributing factor to the success you can have with this organization. Strong communication and excellent customer service skills are required to be successful in this role.  This is a part time position, at the end of which top performing sales reps will be given opportunities to advance their careers within the organization.

Description:

·         Make a required minimum of 100 sales calls each day

·         Responsible for the sale of Full and Partial Season Tickets, and Group Ticket Packages to businesses,   consumers, and youth soccer

·         Maintain a professional and personal network to proactively seek new business opportunities

·         Generate new business leads based on personal research and outreach

·         Meet or exceed established monthly revenue goals

·         Positively impact the sales culture by exhibiting passion, trust, and selflessness on a daily basis.

·         Provide customer service to existing season ticket holder accounts and fans

·         Assist with game day activities including sales tables and on field events

Requirements:

·         Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office

·         Displays an Openness to Learning

·         Strong Interpersonal Skills required

·         Previous Job/Internship within the sports industry is preferred

·         Ability to work with a team

·         Must attend all home games and events at Red Bull Arena. (Nights, Weekends, and possibly Holidays required)

Technical Services: Audio/Video Editing and Production
Producer/Editor - New York Red Bulls (Harrison, NJ)

POSITION PURPOSE:

Red Bull New York is looking for a talented Video/Graphic Producer/Editor to develop and execute both live and pre-produced video and graphic production for the in-game video board presentation, online and broadcast. The “hands-on”, part-time freelance position will be responsible for working events at Red Bull Arena, as well various hours throughout the week. Candidates must submit a production reel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

       Create, edit, and produce in game vignettes for Red Bull Arena Video Board and LEDs

       Produce & Edit videos using Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier and After Effects for use across multiple platforms of media.

       Help coordinate and facilitate video shoots

       Create, edit, and produce Red Bull New York Marketing and Sales video/presentations.

       Editing mini features for broadcast and web

       Create innovative graphics and motion graphics for Red Bull Arena Video Board and LEDs.

       Ability to shoot content with a variety of cameras at home games, practices and other team events. Knowledge of various DSLR cameras (Sony A7, Sony F5, Panasonic GH3, Canon 7D, Panasonic HVX, etc)

       Work all Red Bull New York home games – as well as all other events at Red Bull Arena.

       Execution of various functions of a live sports arena control room (including replay operator, graphics operator, engineering, camera operator, and editing).

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities

       2 to 4 years experience in video production, editing, shooting, live feed, audio production, and motion graphic design.

       The ability to complete projects independently and creativity are extremely important for this position, as well as the ability to complete quality projects within deadlines.

       Video Production Experience including Non-Linier Editing (Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier), Camera Operation, Setting up of shoots, Video Switching, Control Room Operation, and Audio Set Up.

       Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (AfterEffects, Premier, Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or other relevant Multimedia software a must.

       Demonstrate strong creative skills that can be applied to help create the best In-Stadium show in Major League Soccer.

       Ability to work unconventional hours, weekends, and holidays as needed

       Able to work in a fast paced, quickly changing atmosphere.

       Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines a must.

       Ability to effectively communicate with other departments in order to design needed projects.

       Strong Organizational and Communicational skills

       Passion for, and knowledge of soccer and sports is a plus
