POSITION SUMMARY:

This position requires a dynamic, professional, energetic, creative sales professional with a successful selling track record (preferred) in collegiate, minor league and/or professional sports. This position represents one of the key functions within the framework of the Red Bulls franchise structure, responsible for helping the franchise meet its financial goals while delivering the highest levels of customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Required to perform the job)

  • The Account Executive, Season Ticket Sales (AE) is required to create and manage effective revenue yielding relationships with various organizations and people within the private and public sectors. 
  • Responsible for selling new season ticket and mini plan packages, groups and/or corporate ticket packages based on the AE’s individual focus as a member of the sales team.
  • Sales presentations will be made by telephone, email and/or face to face meetings.
  • Sales will be driven through pro-active prospecting activities including, but not limited to, outbound telephone calls, emails, sales-related events and meetings, and other on-line/internet tools. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with each reassigned and new account to upgrade/renew and collect referrals, attend youth soccer club/league meetings, chamber of commerce meetings and networking events, and other events approved by the Director.

Athletic Trainer-Academy - New York Red Bulls (Harrison, NJ)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Athletic Trainer will manage the day-to-day sports medicine operations for the youth academy soccer teams.  In this capacity, the athletic trainer will provide injury prevention strategies, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for players’ medical problems.  The performance of duties will be under the direction and supervision of the Academy Director and Head Athletic Trainer of the Academy.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Required to perform the job)

  • The Athletic Trainer will work closely with the Academy Head Athletic Trainer on a daily basis. 
  • A year-round employee, the Athletic Trainer will attend all training, scrimmages, and home and away games.
  • Attend monthly and weekly staff meetings.
  • Performs as Certified Athletic Trainer in managing the health care of players.  Health care included, but is not limited to, first aid/emergency care, on-site injury evaluation, and application of appropriate modalities, developing rehabilitation and prevention programs, as well as conducting rehabilitation and making medical referrals.
  • Comply with OSHA standards with regard to blood borne pathogens.
  • Keep training room and clinic area safe, clean and organized.
  • Maintain player medical records.
  • Assist Fitness department during training sessions.
  • Initiate insurance claims for players.
  • Compile reports as required by US Development Academy and MLS.
  • Provide medical information to the Team Physician and First Team Head Athletic Trainer.
  • Supervise interns and volunteers as applicable.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills required to work effectively with players, coaches and other team personnel.
  • Counsel players in regard to dietary needs, nutritional supplements, and League and FIFA banned substances.

POSITION PURPOSE: 

The Event Marketing Staff position is designed to provide experience for individuals serious about pursuing a career in special events and event marketing.  The goal of the marketing department is to provide Event Marketing Staff with hands on experience in event management at the premier soccer club in North America.  The Event Marketing Staff schedule is driven primarily by the New York Red Bulls event schedule and remains flexible.  However, regular and consistent commitment to events throughout the regular MLS season is expected. 

 
Event Marketing Staff work directly with Event Marketing Coordinators during all events.  They also work closely with different New York Red Bulls and Red Bull Arena staff, particularly Event Operations Staff, during the course of each event.  They are directly involved in event preparation and activation, engagement with fans, overall event presentation, and enhancing the fan experience for all New York Red Bulls marketing activations and events. Event Marketing Staff are the face of the team and the club during all activations.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

-          Execute in-arena event marketing activations including but not limited to The BULLevard pre-match activation space, on-field match presentations, group sales activations, halftime presentations, special awareness and title night activations, and other major marketing initiatives on match-day at Red Bull Arena.

-          Serve as an essential club-to-fan representative for all New York Red Bulls marketing activations at events. 

-          Fully engage fans and inspire them while participating in all activations. 

-          Assist New York Red Bulls marketing team with all aspects of event management.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

The Event Operations Internship is designed to provide experience to students pursuing a career in event operations and event marketing. Interns focus on providing operational support for all New York Red Bulls events, and activation spaces on match day at Red Bull Arena. Event Operations Interns learn about managing operations staff and activation production timelines. Interns report directly to the Event Operations Coordinator, but also interact regularly with the entire events team in the marketing department. During the internship they are involved in all event equipment preparation, set-up, logistics, breakdown, and special operations projects for New York Red Bulls events.

THIS INTERNSHIP IS UNPAID AND FOR CREDIT ONLY. PROOF THAT YOU ARE RECEIVING CREDIT IS REQUIRED

  • Generate new business leads based on personal research and outreach.
  • Generate new business leads by attending networking or business focused events
  • ?Meet or exceed established monthly revenue goals.
  • Positively impact the sales culture by exhibiting passion, trust, selflessness and collaboration on a daily basis.
  • ?Provide customer service to existing season ticket holder and/or group accounts and fans.
  • ?Assist with game day activities including sale stables and on field events as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior sales experience is preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • ?Displays an Openness to Learning
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills required
  • Previous Internship within the sports industry is preferred
  • ?Ability to work with a team
  • ?Must attend all home games and events at Red Bull Arena. (Nights, Weekends, and possibly Holidays required)
  • Strong desire to build a career in sales

EDUCATION: 

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree form an accredited college or university

Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying

schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.
