Red Bull New York's Communications Department is looking for motivated, organized undergraduate or graduate students with strong writing backgrounds for this internship. This is a fantastic opportunity for those candidates who are interested in breaking into the Sports Communications field. Control Room Production Intern - Summer 2014 - New York Red Bulls (Harrison, NJ)

POSITION PURPOSE:

Control Room Production Interns will be exposed to allaspects of audio & video production in Red Bull Arena. Candidates will be expected to attend all Red Bull Arena events. The “hands-on” internship is suited for creative, motivated individuals who seek experience in non-linear editing, graphic design, and live event production. THIS INTERNSHIP IS UNPAID AND FOR CREDIT ONLY. PROOF THAT YOU ARE RECEIVING CREDIT IS REQUIRED.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Learn various control room roles including replay, camera operation, and stats.
Record, log, and dub clips from Red Bull New York games and events.
Exposure to video/audio elements to be used in-Stadium.
Assist in the day-to-day and event operations of the control room team.
Assist in other projects in Marketing and Operations departments.
Provide assistance and support for internal and external requests as needed.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the internship, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities

Exceptional artistic and computer skills are preferred.
Non-Linear (Final Cut/Avid) video production experience needed
Knowledge of control room atmosphere and sports preferred.
Knowledge of Final Cut Pro and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
Desire to get hands-on experience and learn the in-and-outs of a live TV/scoreboard production Control Room.
Dedicated and quick to learn.
Strong organizational and communicational skills.
Willingness to be available for most events at Red Bull New York Arena
Ability to function independently.

New York Red Bull Multimedia Production Interns have the unique opportunity to learn the organizational aspects of planning video campaigns and creating video content for a professional sports team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

VIDEO MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help coordinate & facilitate video shoots
- Assist in the development of production, set-up, conceptualization, logistics, staffing and breakdown for video production
- Ensure all content uphold “Red Bull” standards while delivering a premium product
- Assist in creating content for in-stadium video boards
- Assist with player interviews, marketing shoots, & game day videos

Job Description:
Red Bull New York is seeking to appoint one college student to become the ‘Performance Analyst Intern’ within the team staff. The role, briefly, is to expose the student to the provision of video and statistical based support to the Performance Analyst, first team coaching staff, & players within the team.

THIS WILL BE AN UNPAID ROLE DURING THE 2014 SEASON. College Credit will be offered.

Responsibilities:

• Exposure to the initial phase of written reports.
• Observe the preparation of video projects to be reviewed by the Performance Analyst.
• Assist in the filming of 1st team matches, reserve team matches, and training sessions as needed.
• Maintain and organize a DVD & file-based library of all our fixtures from the 2014 season.
• Other statistical based projects.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
• Knowledge of soccer, former player and/or coaching experience preferred
• Have an enthusiastic approach to the development of soccer players.
• Possess excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis.
• Experience utilizing any performance analysis and video editing software is desirable.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is a requirement.
• Strong attention to detail.

Location:
The normal place of work will be at the club’s training facility in Whippany, NJ, although other places may be required on an ad-hoc basis such as Red Bull Arena.
