The New York Red Bulls are one of 20 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). They are one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, having competed in the league since its founding in 1996.   They currently play their home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. RBA, a state-of-the-art 25,000-seat stadium, is widely regarded as the top soccer-specific stadium in North America. The club is owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The first team features 2014 MLS Golden Boot Winner Bradley Wright-Phillips, U.S. international Sacha Kljestan, and several players with USMNT experience.  The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams. 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to assist the Academy administrator with events related to team travel, securing training facilities and scheduling of games and training sessions. Candidate will receive valuable experience related to operations of the New York Red Bulls Academy. THIS INTERNSHIP IS UNPAID AND FOR CREDIT ONLY. PROOF THAT YOU ARE RECEIVING CREDIT IS REQUIRED.

Main responsibilities will include:

· Researching and contacting companies related to team travel and lodging arrangements
· Assisting with data related to field usage and facilities
· Organizing documents associated with Academy player registration
· Supporting Academy Administrator with tracking of game scores and scheduling
· Handling of tryout applications via mail
· Attendance at Academy games to assist with in-game responsibilities

Box Office Intern Spring 2017 - New York Red Bulls (Harrison, NJ)


Description

Description: The Red Bull New York Ticket Operations department is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Ticket Operations Intern. A strong work ethic, ability to work effectively with others and self-motivation are a few of the key characteristics required. Hours during the week and on game days are flexible. THIS INTERNSHIP IS UNPAID AND FOR CREDIT ONLY. PROOF THAT YOU ARE RECEIVING CREDIT IS REQUIRED.
 

Assisting Ticket Operations & Sales in the following areas:

• Operations for ticketing at Red Bull Arena
• Distribution of tickets for the 2017 season, which includes season ticket packages, printing tickets, and group/individual ticket package mailing.
• Generating ticket sales reports, and managing customer databases.
• Attendance at all events in the Box Office at Red Bull Arena is strongly encouraged.
• Coordinating ticket pick-up at our will call window on game days and logistics for an entire game day staff.
• Opening and setting up the Box Office for pre-match activities.
• Working with our cutting-edge ticket management systems (Ticketmaster & Fortress GB).
• Customer demographic tracking and financial reporting.
• Assisting our sales staff & finance team with support, research, projects and operation aid during game days


Minimum Requirements:

• Must be eligible to obtain college credit. Internship is unpaid.
• Experience working with computer programs such, as Excel and Word requested.


Qualification Standards:

• Education: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Current college students preferred.
• Experience: Knowledge of and/or enthusiasm for soccer, the New York Red Bulls/MLS, and professional sports a plus
• Availability at all Red Bull Arena events (generally held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Evenings. There are some weekday events) is strongly encouraged.

Sales & Marketing: Game Operations/Presentation
Event Marketing Staff- Part-Time - New York Red Bulls (Harrison, NJ)

POSITION PURPOSE: 

The Event Marketing Staff position is designed to provide experience for individuals serious about pursuing a career in special events and event marketing.  The goal of the marketing department is to provide Event Marketing Staff with hands on experience in event management at the premier soccer club in North America.  The Event Marketing Staff schedule is driven primarily by the New York Red Bulls event schedule and remains flexible.  However, regular and consistent commitment to events throughout the regular MLS season is expected. 

 
Event Marketing Staff work directly with Event Marketing Coordinators during all events.  They also work closely with different New York Red Bulls and Red Bull Arena staff, particularly Event Operations Staff, during the course of each event.  They are directly involved in event preparation and activation, engagement with fans, overall event presentation, and enhancing the fan experience for all New York Red Bulls marketing activations and events. Event Marketing Staff are the face of the team and the club during all activations.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

-          Execute in-arena event marketing activations including but not limited to The BULLevard pre-match activation space, on-field match presentations, group sales activations, halftime presentations, special awareness and title night activations, and other major marketing initiatives on match-day at Red Bull Arena.

-          Serve as an essential club-to-fan representative for all New York Red Bulls marketing activations at events. 

-          Fully engage fans and inspire them while participating in all activations. 

-          Assist New York Red Bulls marketing team with all aspects of event management. 

-          Coordinate with other New York Red Bulls departments to ensure successful event planning and execution (Event Operations, Partnerships, Premium Services, Sales, Ticketing, Fan Services, Communications, Community Relations, Academy/Training Programs, and First Team Operations). 

-          Assist operations staff when support is required is setting up and breaking down events and equipment. 

-          Consistent season long event attendance is mandatory. 

-          Attendance at marquee club events and MLS Cup Playoff matches is mandatory.    

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

-          Individuals pursuing a career in Sport Management, special events and event marketing are preferred.

-          Must be able to multi-task and follow strict timelines.

-          Possess a strong work ethic, take a leadership approach, and is a self-starter.

-          Experienced in high stress, fast paced environments.

-          Succeed in a competitive team atmosphere. 

-          Able to lift 30lbs, without strain.

-          Comfortable being active for extended periods of time.   

-          Must be able to commit to a significant portion of the New York Red Bulls event schedule.

POSITION SUMMARY:

      Manage, upsell and renew a personal portfolio of New York Red Bulls’ Red Members

      Deliver a superior customer experience by building and maintaining long-lasting relationships, providing proactive service and exceeding Red Member/fan expectations

      Assist in coordinating annual Red Member events, mailings, gifting, renewal campaigns, brochure designs, relocation events, and fence-sitter initiatives

      Liaise between internal and external departments to ensure all Red Members’ expectations are being met

 

EDUCATION:

 

                   Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

 

EXPERIENCE:

                    Minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer service/hospitality, loyalty marketing, event   management, and/or sales

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position requires a dynamic, professional, energetic, creative sales professional with a successful selling track record (preferred) in collegiate, minor league and/or professional sports. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Required to perform the job)

 ·         The Group Sales Account Executive is required to create and manage effective revenue yielding relationships with various organizations and people within the private and public sectors. 

·         Responsible for selling Group Tickets, as well as new season ticket and mini plan packages, and/or corporate ticket packages based on the individual’s focus as a member of the sales team.

·         Sales presentations will be made by telephone, email and/or face to face meetings.

·         Sales will be driven through pro-active prospecting activities including, but not limited to, outbound telephone calls, emails, sales-related events and meetings, and other on-line/internet tools. 

·         Develop and maintain relationships with each reassigned and new account to upgrade/renew and collect referrals, attend youth soccer club/league meetings, chamber of commerce meetings and networking events, and other events approved by the Sr. Manager.

·         The candidate will be required to achieve personal and departmental sales quotas on a daily/weekly/monthly level.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

Overview:

The New York Red Bulls Group Ticket Sales Department is seeking energetic, outgoing, and dedicated candidates that are able to work both individually and in a team environment to fill the position of Intern for the Group Tickets Sales department.  The ideal candidate must possess great communications skills, strong attention to detail, excellent work ethics, be tactful, coachable, courteous and professional in an atmosphere of many demands.  Candidates must have excellent intrapersonal skills, strong phone skills, and organizational skills.

Description:

·         Assisting the sales department with research and benchmarking various teams regarding sales collateral, pricing, benefits, seating charts, maps, etc.

·         Assisting sales reps with lead generation, mailings, and promotions

·         Learning all aspects of the sales process including our cutting-edge ticket management systems (Ticket Master and Fortress)

·         Responsible for assisting sales staff with support, projects, and operation aid during game days, including prospecting leads at sales tables and running fan experiences

·         Shadow Group Sales Reps on the phone and on appointments

·         Other special projects and administrative duties, as assigned

Requirements:

·         You must be currently enrolled in either an Undergraduate or Graduate College or University program

·         Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required

·         Knowledge of and/or enthusiasm for soccer a plus, but not required

·         Knowledge of Spanish a plus, but not required

·         Must be able to work during regular business hours, and all Red Bull Arena events (including weekends and holidays)

·         Must be able to work in the office at least 20 hours per week

POSITION SUMMARY:

The New York Red Bulls are currently seeking hardworking and passionate individuals who want to become the next sales leaders in the sports industry. These individuals will be placed in a career growth driven program and will be trained and mentored to take the necessary steps to become an integral part of the organization. Every rep will be responsible for generating ticket sales revenue through group ticket packages for the New York Red Bulls, as well other events at Red Bull Arena.  Sales will culminate through cold calls, out of office appointments, and in-arena tours.  Previous selling experience is preferred, but is not a contributing factor to the success you can have with this organization. Strong communication and excellent customer service skills are required to be successful in this role.

The New York Red Bulls are looking for motivated and organized college students in need of receiving college credit and experience with the Marketing Partnerships and Premium Services department. The internship is a great opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in the sports industry. Candidates gain knowledge and insight into a crucial department in the sports industry. Working hours during the week are flexible. Candidates may be required to work all Red Bulls regular season and playoff (if applicable) home matches – this may interfere with holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  •  Compiling key information about potential marketing partner prospects
  •  Assist with service effort for both marketing partners and premium services
  •  Help plan and execute on-site activation of sponsor and partner programs on match days and events as needed (client entertainment, on-field operations, etc.)
  •  Assist in managing client relationships by working with Account Manager, internal divisions (sales, ad ops, content, video production, legal, design, development, and league operations) and when necessary directly with clients and agencies, to ensure successful implementation of programs
