Responsibilities include:
• Sell Merchandise to fans and customers utilizing Point-Of-Sale (POS) registers
• Accurate cash management and handling
• Achieve sales productivity goals
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Accurately check-in and process new merchandise (count, hang, ticket, etc…)
• Assist with merchandising of products and visual displays
• Assist with signage needs related to product displays that include markdowns and promotions
• Participate in physical inventories and periodic cycle counts
• Maintain documents and various media in an organized manner
• Maintain daily detailed communications with team leader
• Execute internal product transfers and merchandise requests
• Accurately maintain retail supply inventory
• Participate in movement of fixtures and retail floor set-ups
• Provide assistance and training for other team members when directed by team leader
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic a must
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment

SUMMARY:

The Philadelphia Union is seeking highly motivated and dedicated sales candidates looking to perform within a work environment of an MLS Ticket Sales Office.  The primary responsibility is to generate full season, partial season and group ticket sales.

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:

• Make outgoing and cold calls to prospective clients
• Prospect potential full season, partial and group tickets clients daily through calls and emails
• Actively prospect and research new sales leads
• Represent the Union in a positive way when interacting with all clients and prospects
• Required to work PPL Park Events and outside Philadelphia Union Events as needed

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Highly and self-motivated with a desire to be successful
• Excellent communication and phone skills, with an ability to think and react to situations confidently

Grassroots Marketing Intern:

The Grassroots Marketing Intern will be responsible for assisting the marketing and operations departments as well as the front office in day-to-day operations. Internships with Philadelphia Union will provide qualified interns with an assortment of valuable learning experiences and exposure to all facets of a professional soccer team’s front office.

·         Assist Coordinator, Grassroots Marketing in coordinating all aspects of the Union’s Mobile Marketing Tour with internal and external contacts

·         Communicate all scheduled Mobile Marketing Tour appearance with the Coordinator, Grassroots Marketing.

·         Assist in organizing and managing all facets of Union grassroots initiatives

·         Mobile Marketing Tour on site activation

·         Compose and distribute pre-event appearance sheets to all working staff

·         Assist with additional promotional events as needed

·         Attend all College Brand Manager sessions

·         Work all Philadelphia Union home games

·         Complete all other duties as assigned

Summer 2015- Specialized Business Development Intern - Philadelphia Union (Chester, PA)

Specialized Business Development Internship:

The Philadelphia Union is looking for an energetic and motivated American Military Veteran, who could be in any number of different degree programs, to work on two business relation initiatives: Tickets for Troops and Army-Navy Cup. The internship will include elements of, but not be restricted to, marketing, communications, and sales, which in essence describes what Business Development is all about.

The Tickets for Troops 2015 campaign will be enacted as part of the Philadelphia Union match on Saturday, June 27th against the Montreal Impact. Army-Navy Cup IV is a stand-alone event and thus will take up more time and energy. That match between the Black Knights of Army West Point and the Midshipmen of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, with take place on Friday evening, October 2nd.

This internship will expose you to just about every facet of the business operations of Philadelphia Union. And while you don’t have to look forward to a career in Sports Management, there are a multitude of similarities to the production of any event, that could be beneficial to someone in a variety of marketing, promotions, advertising/public relations or sales curricula.
