The Houston Dynamo sales team currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate self-starter to join their season membership ticket sales team.

The ideal candidates will have a passion for ticket sales, a solid foundation of sales training and strong interpersonal/communication skills. He/She will be required to initiate cold calls, face-to-face appointments and innovate new programming to increase membership sales for the Houston Dynamo.

Basic Function: The Season Membership Account Executive is responsible for primarily selling FSE ticket inventory, with a secondary focus on group tickets through cold-calling, utilizing the clubs various prospecting tools, and contact management software to create and manage effective revenue yielding relationships with various individuals and organizations within the private and public sectors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·   80% focus on primary goal of selling season memberships including luxury suites and partial plans (FSE Products)

·   20% focus on secondary goal of selling group tickets through referrals of established relationships

·   Generate leads via prospecting, networking, attending chamber of commerce meetings, cold calls, business related networking functions and Houston Dynamo games and other Dynamo related business events

·   Maintain accurate sales activity: calls, meetings and stadium tour records in our ticket program software

·   Provide weekly activity summaries as outlined by the Manager of Membership Sales

·   Meet all predetermined activity and sales goals

·   Assist with other season and group ticket sales duties, as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and prior experience in ticket sales.

COMPANY INFORMATION

The Dynamo Charities and Community Relations department has two roles: maintaining and building relationships with the community through a variety of community outreach efforts, and raising awareness and funds for Dynamo Charities, the charitable arm of the Houston Dynamo.

Dynamo Charities believes in using the power of the Dynamo and the sport of soccer to support the community. It has established a variety of programs in health, wellness and physical fitness, scholarship opportunities, support to re-build soccer fields in impoverished areas, game ticket giveaways and many others to positively impact the lives of those in the greater Houston area.

The community relations department is looking for one to two interns who can support the endeavors of Dynamo Charities by assisting in creative fundraising efforts, event planning and securing sponsorships.

EXTERNAL JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsibilities for this position can include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicating with potential sponsors to secure funding for programs

  • Expanding Dynamo Charities databases of contacts and sponsors Executing Dynamo Charities activities at Dynamo games

The Houston Dynamo organization is seeking Game Day Interns for the 2017 Houston Dynamo season. The Houston Dynamo Game Day Intern program provides hands-on experience with the various duties and responsibilities required to coordinate a successful professional sporting event.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Arrival time is approximately six (6) hours before kickoff (lunch provided) and departure time is approximately one (1) hour after the game ends (varies by length of postgame player meet and greets). Game Day Interns must commit to a minimum of four (4) Dynamo home games and will receive a Dynamo polo and game day credential. Day of game responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Texas Street Fest Activation Area: this is the Dynamo pregame festival area where partners set up tents and have interactive games and giveaways for fans. Game Day Interns will help partners with various areas of need (i.e., logistical setup, marketing support, coordination details, etc.).

  • Partner-Branded Activation Support: provide assistance and support with implementation and coordination of activation programs for Dynamo partners; including but not limited to, Audi Suite Parking Lot, Bud Light Beer Garden, BBVA Compass Photo Morphing Station.

  • Pre-game Ceremonies Coordination: escorting clients/fans to watch pregame warm-ups, implementing ceremonial “first kick” and client team photo.

Office:

  • Assisting the Partnership Marketing staff in executing all partner contractual elements

Position Overview:

The Vice President/General Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of BBVA Compass Stadium including both front and back of house operations. The position will oversee the booking and operation of all events including those related to the stadium’s main tenants: the Houston Dynamo, Houston Dash, and TSU Football.  This position will also be charged with booking new business including concerts and 3rd party events ranging from meeting space rentals to full stadium events.

All operational matters are under the purview of this position including turf management, security, logistics, and event planning. The Vice President/General Manager will also serve as the management team member in charge of operations at the organization’s training facility, the Houston Sports Park. The Houston Sports Park is located eight miles from BBVA Compass Stadium and is the training home of the Dynamo, the Dash, and the Dynamo Youth Academy. It is also open to the community for multi-sport uses.

The Vice President/General Manager of BBVA Compass Stadium is one of five senior level positions within the company and reports directly to the president. Long term planning and financial management is a major part of the position as the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the entity’s budget, P&L, managing expenses and financial reporting, and planning capital improvements.  Additional duties include contract negotiation with event promoters and clients. The position oversees a full-time stadium operations staff of 10-12 people and a part-time gameday staff of over 200 people.

Basic Functions:

  • Manage subordinate supervisors in any of the following departments: Changeover, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Operations, Production, Public Safety, Security and/or Parking Departments
