The Director of Event Services will be responsible for all events held in BBVA Compass Stadium. He / She will plan, coordinate, and execute all events including but not limited to Houston Dynamo, Houston Dash, TSU football, Concerts, and International Soccer. An ideal candidate must be a self-starter who can efficiently prioritize multiple requests and objectives into actionable plans and tasks.
Develop concepts and budgets & manage all aspects of events as assigned (includes creation of timing, staging, scripts, and master schedule for all events)
- Serve as primary contact for clients of assigned events—provide & determine their needs in order to make their events successful and accomplish their goals. Maintain positive rapport and form strong client and tenant relationships.
- Compile and communicate all event requirements to various departments at BBVA Compass Stadium. Direct and delegate necessary responsibilities within the venue’s departments. This is done by preparing and distributing detailed production notes for each event and scheduling a production meeting with the venue’s department heads (including but not limited to operations, security, food & beverage, broadcast, event production, a/v production and event services).
- Manage event expenses and keep within budgetary parameters. Work with the Booking Manager to prepare event estimates and prepare and review event costs and invoices for settlement
- Manage the operations, rehearsals and execution of events and entertainment in compliance with expectations of Forever Orange Management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors; Hire, train & manage vendors & event staff as necessary
- Implement facility rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Manage, maintain and organize event binders and files, which include all pertinent information for venue's events.
- Manages and directs day to day responsibilities of an event manager and an operations specialist.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
Assist various department managers with special projects as needed
Create calendar of events with summary of proposed entertainment and programming
Provide complete post-event review, including final budget
Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors, entertainers and media
Other duties as assigned
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be highly organized, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Education: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High school diploma preferred. College degree in Communications, Business or Marketing preferred
Experience: 4-5 years’ experience planning and managing special events, preferably sports teams, concerts and other live entertainment events. Previous experience at a high-profile sports/theatre/ any other entertainment venue strongly preferred.

The Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash are seeking part-time dynamic, enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to serve as Marketing Assistants.
Marketing Assistants serve as key community ambassadors for the Dynamo and Dash at a variety of public events in the Houston area and at home games for both teams. Their mission is to interact with potential and existing fans, providing information and collateral as well as ticketing opportunities. These motivated individuals also execute interactive contests and giveaways. Other opportunities within sponsorship, team related activities, marketing and public relations also exist as a part of this program.
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities as well as be able to effectively communicate and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Enthusiastically interact and communicate with fans at Dynamo and Dash games as well as community and sponsor events
Facilitate activation at events, while providing superb customer service and displaying excitement about the organization
Have a working knowledge of IJS and international soccer, team promotions and current ticket programs
Distribute Dynamo and Dash collateral during events and promotions
Assist in set-up and breakdown of interactive tent and event display
Available to work Dynamo and Dash game days as well as other International games/events that may be associated with the organization
Drive promotional vehicle; must have a good driving record and valid Texas driver's license
Ability to work evenings, holidays and weekends
Bilingual (English & Spanish)
Experience working promotional events
Hold or working towards a degree in marketing or related discipline Moving and lifting objects that exceed 50 lbs

The Houston market is ever-evolving and one of the most diverse in the entire country. The goal of the Sr. Multicultural Account Executive will be to establish relationships with key stakeholders in the various cultural communities of Houston and strengthen the relationship between the city, it’s cultural groups, and the Dynamo and Dash.

Work closely with the Sr. Manager of Group Sales to maximize sales of season, partial plans and group ticket inventory for the Houston Dynamo. The Sr. Multicultural Account Executive is responsible for primarily selling group tickets with a secondary focus on season memberships and partial plans through cold-calling, utilizing the clubs various prospecting tools and contact management software to create and manage effective revenue yielding relationships with various organizations within the private and public sectors.

Generate leads via prospecting, networking, attending chamber of commerce meetings, cold calls, business related networking functions and Houston Dynamo games and other Dynamo related business events

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in sports management, business management, marketing, or related field

Track record of sales success and appointment setting with key corporate and non-profit decision makers

The Video Coordinator for the Houston Dynamo, Houston Dash, BBVA Compass Stadium and Houston Sports Park will be responsible for shooting and editing video for features, marketing materials and news-style updates. Projects will also include in-game shoots, incorporating Dynamo and Dash players, as well as sponsors. The Video Coordinator may be asked to assist with other production duties including producing, writing, audio sweetening, graphic & animation development, conducting interviews and scripting when necessary.
Designing motion graphics and titles utilizing After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop (Adobe Suite)
Editing video features utilizing Adobe Premiere as assigned for Houston Dynamo, Houston Dash, BBVA Compass Stadium and Houston Sports Park
Operating various video camera equipment (DSLR and other professional models) with the ability to frame shots quickly and accurately in various settings including, but not limited to commercial shoots, live sports events and community events
Organizing video files and archiving game and event footage
Sound designing and sweetening when necessary
Working with various professional file formats and delivery to YouTube and others digital sites
Contributing production ideas and feedback
Consulting with video producers and digital content team members effectively.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop.
Working knowledge of basic computing equipment and software typical in a modern office environment. (Mac and Windows)
Experience with FTP and file sharing websites both in software and web interfaces.
Ability to brainstorm and collaborate on creative ideas with staff.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film/Communications/Journalism/related field
Minimum two years of experience editing and shooting video/photography.
Sports/soccer experience preferred.
