Internship Opportunities - Spring 2010 - FC Dallas and Pizza Hut Park (Frisco, TX)
The Hunt Sports Group has created a first-of-its-kind facility located on 117 acres just north of Dallas at the intersection of the Tollway and Main Street in Frisco, Texas. This master development features two major components: a 20,000 seat, state-of-the-art pro stadium immediately adjacent to a sports park with 17 championship-quality sports/soccer fields. Pizza Hut Park will be in use over 300 days per year, showcasing a wide variety of local, regional, national and international programming. Although the primary focus of this facility will be centered around soccer-related events, both at the professional and amateur level, this venue will feature a myriad of events such as major concerts and festivals. FC Dallas is currently looking for interns to help in many different departments. All internships for FC Dallas and Pizza Hut Park are unpaid internships, and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment, marketing, and sales industries. Hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights and weekends will be required.
Accounting Internship
FC Dallas is currently looking for an intern(s) to help in the Finance department. Although this is an unpaid internship, this position allows the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports or finance industry. Complex Operations/Legal & Compliance
The complex operations/Legal &Compliance intern will work directly with the Complex Operations Manager to assist with scheduling, organization and coordinating of all events at Pizza Hut Park. This intern position is suitable for candidates that are looking to gain further experience in sports management, legal & compliance, and event operations. Candidates should have an interest and hopefully a background in sports, although not a requirement.
Job Duties:
- Invoicing, billing and updates for all events—providing summaries for all departments on relevant issues & events.
- Keep track of event expenses and working with accounting to make sure all events get closed out accurately and effectively
- Update & maintain schedules
- Develop and maintain all proper documentation & files for events
- Work with grounds crew to determine field needs & rotation schedules
- Implement those rotation and maintenance needs into a master calendar, working with leagues and users to make sure it is done efficiently.

Facility Event Operations Interns
FC Dallas is seeking an intern to assist the Stadium Event Coordinators in all aspects of event operations, with an emphasis on game day logistics. Game day logistics include locker room set-up, table and chair set-up, and pre-game operations.
- Assist Event Coordinators with game day operations.
- Creation of information packets for visiting teams.
- Facilitate requests made by front office staff.
- Coordinate pre-game events on the field in accordance with MLS rules and regulations.

The Ticket operations intern will be responsible for assisting the Ticket operations department with day to day duties which include but are not limited to staffing, selling, and providing superior customer service to our fans.
Job Duties include:
• Assist with maintenance of customer database, which includes updating customer contact information and identifying/deleting duplicate accounts
• Help prepare Box Office for game day operations, which will include organizing Will Call and setting up Sales Windows.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things print, work on a Mac and understand the elements of good design. Experience in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop CS is required. Candidate must be a self-starter with excellent time management and communication skills. The Creative Design intern will be working closely with lead designer, developing projects from concept to completion.

FC Dallas Hispanic Business Department Internship

Director of Tournaments - FC Dallas/Pizza Hut Park (Frisco, TX)
This position will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, executing at least 12 tournaments per year. Responsibilities will also include generating business to hold tournaments in PHP Complex fields. The Director of Tournaments will report directly to the Executive Vice President.
Job Duties:
- Reserve the complex fields for tournaments; communicate the tournament details to all parties involved.
- Coordinate all supplies needed, signage, and marketing efforts internally and externally for all tournaments under PHP direction.
- Maintain, monitor, and update complex field schedules.

• Game day responsibilities include assisting with sales initiatives, and/or prospecting clients at the stadium
• Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
• Strong and detailed follow-up skills both in selling and managing accounts
• Must be self-disciplined, motivated and manage time effectively
• Must be willing to work long hours, flexible schedules and weekends
• Competitive and committed, but also capable of working in a team environment
• College degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, sports management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
