2015 Summer Internship - Creative Design - FC Dallas (Frisco, TX)

FC Dallas of Major League Soccer and Toyota Stadium are looking for a student intern to work with the Creative Team in the creation and design of print and online/digital content. We have created a unique hands on experience for students looking to gain experience in the Sports and Entertainment industry. We are looking for bright, passionate, hard-working students to be a part of our team through our internship program. 

Toyota stadium & Soccer Center is a first-of-its-kind facility located in Frisco, Texas. The complex features two major components: a 20,000 seat, state-of-the-art pro stadium immediately adjacent to a sports park with 17 championship-quality sports/soccer fields. Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center is in use over 300 days per year, showcasing a wide variety of local, regional, national and international events.

All internships for FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium are unpaid internships, and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment, marketing, and sales industries. Hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights and weekends will be required.

CREATIVE DESIGN INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and design flyers, posters and other collateral to support the Sales, Partnerships and Marketing departments
  • Assist the Marketing team with the creation and design of online/digital graphics to use on web and social media outlets
  • Assist the Creative Team in photography projects from player photo and video shoots to merchandise product shoots

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

  • Must be an active college student pursuing a degree in Advertising, Fine Arts, Graphic Design or a related field.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

  • Ability to multi-task on design projects

Technical Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of graphic design software in a MAC environment. The intern is required to have skills and abilities in the following areas:

  • Photography experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus

Other Requirements

The Affinity Sales Representative will be focused on the responsibility of producing revenue through the sale of group and individual game tickets. He or she will also have the opportunity of selling season ticket packages when opportunities present themselves.

Direct functions include the development and complete servicing of new business leads and past customers, continual prospecting and communication with our past buyers, residents within the DFW community, sales via social networking and a commitment to building relationships, increasing the affinity of our customers and demonstrating a strong commitment to quality and excellence.

FC Dallas and Toyota stadium/soccer center are looking for individuals to work on an as needed basis during the 2015 event season.  The Set Up event team will be responsible for the set-up and tear down of all of the equipment requests and stadium set up  for events held at Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center, to include tables, chairs, tents, staging equipment, barricades, field equipment and other related elements.

Duties:

Housekeeping Attendant - FC Dallas (Frisco, TX)

Toyota stadium in Frisco is looking for housekeeping workers to work on an as needed basis during events at our stadium and complex. Under the general supervision of the Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor, the employee has the primary responsibility for cleaning the stadium in such a way to promote health and safety while reducing the spread of infection. It is the role of the housekeeper to follow daily and occasion cleaning including, but not limited to, the offices areas, hallways, lounges, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, kitchens, restrooms, concourses, soccer fields and entrances so that health standards are met. The housekeeper may also be responsible for performing additional duties not stipulated below. If so, these duties are specified as an addendum to this description.


Duties:

  • Perform any combination of light cleaning duties
  • Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
  • Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Maintain floor cleanliness using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
  • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. Polish accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.

  • Move and arrange furniture.

The Senior Manager of Fan Relations is a very important role within the FC Dallas Ticket Sales Department and organization as a whole.  He or she will hold the primary responsibility of overseeing a Fan Relations Team who has a central objective of maintaining effective communication and annual renewals with our entire base of season seat holders.

The Soccer Sales Representative will be responsible for producing revenue through the sale of season ticket and group ticket products, including premium inventory (Suites, Loge, Field Tables, etc.), hospitality packages, as well as flex packs and partial season ticket plans. This position is a salaried position that includes full health and dental benefits, in addition to commissions paid on products sold.
 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Meeting or exceeding weekly, monthly and/or long term sales goals in the areas of season ticket products and packages
  • Prospecting, qualifying and setting sales appointments at Toyota Stadium
  • Maintaining electronic account records for the upkeep of the department’s CRM database
  • Working in harmony with team members and those from other departments
  • Building and fostering beneficial relationships with existing and new accounts
  • Providing excellent customer care and quality service to our customers
  • Working home games as a means of servicing clients and prospecting new business
  • Meeting or exceeding call minimums
  • Assisting supervisor with sales campaigns, events and activities
  • Taking inbound calls and individual game ticket orders during a portion of the work day and up-selling and cross-selling a full menu of various ticket products and services to prospects and customers of FC Dallas

Position Requirements:

  • Strong and detailed follow-up skills both in selling and managing accounts
  • 2-4 years of sales experience, preferably in sports
  • Must be self-disciplined, motivated and manage time effectively
  • Must be willing to work long hours, flexible schedules and weekends
  • Competitive and committed, but also capable of working in a team environment
  • College degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, sports management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
