2017 Fall Internship - GRAPHIC DESIGN - FC DALLAS, Major League Soccer & Toyota Stadium (Frisco, TX)

FC Dallas  of Major League Soccer and Toyota Stadium are looking for a student intern to work with the Graphic Design Team in the creation and design of print and online/digital content. We have created a unique hands on experience for students looking to gain experience in the Sports and Entertainment industry. We are looking for bright, passionate, hard-working students to be a part of our team through our internship program. 

Toyota stadium & Soccer Center is a first-of-its-kind facility located in Frisco, Texas. The complex features two major components: a 20,000 seat, state-of-the-art pro stadium immediately adjacent to a sports park with 17 championship-quality sports/soccer fields. Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center is in use over 300 days per year, showcasing a wide variety of local, regional, national and international events.  Toyota Stadium is the future home of the National Soccer Hall of Fame.

All internships for FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium are unpaid internships, and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment, marketing, and sales industries. Hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights and weekends will be required.

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and design flyers, posters and other collateral to support the Sales, Partnerships and Marketing departments
  • Assist the Marketing team with the creation and design of online/digital graphics to use on web and social media outlets
  • Assist the Creative Team in photography projects from player photo and video shoots to merchandise product shoots

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

  • Must be an active college student pursuing a degree in Advertising, Fine Arts, Graphic Design or a related field.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to work well in team environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate thoughts, ideas and designs
  • Ability to multi-task on design projects

Technical Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of graphic design software in a MAC environment. The intern is required to have skills and abilities in the following areas:
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Photography experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus

Digital Media Production: FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium are looking for a Multimedia production intern to assist the Marketing department. The multimedia production intern with report to the Multimedia Services Manager and assist with the day to day objectives of the Marketing Department.

Job Duties:
• Assist in filming and editing video segments for in game presentation
• Assist in conducting player interviews as well as filming and editing online video segments
• Assist the marketing department on game days to coordinate and implement marketing endeavors such as half time entertainment, in game promotions and other related duties.
• Assist with the development of online video branding.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Excellent communication skills
• Dynamic and confident personality
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and simultaneous projects
• Strong video production skills that include digital video workflows with Canon DSLRs, Premier Pro, CS6, Final Cut Pro 7
• A understanding of Adobe After Effects CS6 is a plus but not a requirement
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include some nights, weekends and holidays based on event schedule.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Managing incoming donation requests and fan mail
• Assisting with game-day initiatives and community programs
• Supporting the Executive Director of Foundation & Community Relations with the initiatives of the FC Dallas Foundation including upcoming events and fundraisers.

Job Duties:
• Assist with FC Dallas Game Day Operations
• Includes Game notes, press box set up, credential process
• Assist media with statistical questions, player interview requests, etc.
• Assist in writing Press Releases / Develop story lines / Blog posts
• Assist in creating Game Day Roster Handout and other publications FCD Hoops Nation, Enews, Freekick, etc.
• Assist in coverage of FCD Reserve Team and FCD Youth System / games at Toyota Stadium
• Assist with providing stories and content for FCD.net. FCD Blog.
• Attend and observe FC Dallas practices
• May involve taking photos and shooting video

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be an active college student and receive college credit.
• Spanish Speaking preferred
• Previous Experience with press releases and game notes

Toyota Soccer Center is in use over 350 days per year, showcasing a wide variety of local, regional, national and international events.  Toyota Stadium is the future home of the National Soccer Hall of Fame.

Internships are unpaid, and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internship allows you to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for a future in the sports, entertainment and marketing industries.  Partnership Marketing Position: Partnership Marketing Intern. The Partnership Marketing Intern will report to the Partnership Marketing Account Manager and assist with the day to day objectives of the department.

Job Duties to include but not limited to:

·         Assist in the implementation of Partnership Marketing goals and objectives

·         Assist the department during FC Dallas home games to coordinate and implement Partnership Marketing endeavors such as pregame concourse activation, half time entertainment, in-game promotions, photography, and other related duties

·         Assist with capturing key in-game sponsorship moments and compiling proof of asset fulfillment for Partnership Marketing team to access post-game

·         Assist with grassroots initiative fulfillment for FC Dallas Soccer Tour participation and set-up with the FC Dallas Activation Specialist (including inflatable, tent, etc.)

·         Assist with the organizing, planning and execution of FC Dallas Community Clinics

·         Maintain comprehensive communication with the Partnership Marketing Manager

·         Gain awareness of the internal and externally-facing functionality of the Partnership Marketing Department

·         Understand the value of leveraging a sports sponsorship and how it can provide bottom-line ROI results and promote brand equity

FC Dallas of Major League Soccer and Toyota Stadium are looking for a student intern to work with the Athletic Training team in sports science and analytics. We have created a unique hands on experience for students looking to gain experience in the Sports and Entertainment industry. We are looking for bright, passionate, hard-working students to be a part of our team through our internship program. 

Toyota stadium & Soccer Center is a first-of-its-kind facility located in Frisco, Texas. The complex features two major components: a 20,000 seat, state-of-the-art pro stadium immediately adjacent to a sports park with 17 championship-quality sports/soccer fields. Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center is in use over 300 days per year, showcasing a wide variety of local, regional, national and international events.

All internships for FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium are unpaid internships, and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment, marketing, and sales industries. Hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights and weekends will be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Assist the Director of Sports Science with daily work office, administration, etc.

·         Administer sports science measurements, as well as perform multiple analyses

·         Maintain databases of past data look for historical data trends

·         Work with all FCD teams U-12 academy – U18 academy, as well as the professional team

Stadium and Complex Operations Internship: FC Dallas is seeking a Stadium Operations/Complex Operations intern who will work directly with the Stadium Operations and Complex Management Departments to assist with scheduling, organizing and coordinating of all events at Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center, with an emphasis on event day logistics. Event day logistics include locker room set-up, table and chair set-up, and pre-game operations. This internship is designed to give students an overall view of the daily operations of a Major League Soccer Stadium and Complex that is in use over 300 days a year.

Job Duties include:

  • Assist the Stadium Operations Department with game day operations to include set up, tear down and event management.
  • Assist with coordination among other departments to ensure that all day of game set-up, giveaways, signage, etc. are met effectively.
  • Help coordinate, plan, and oversee soccer events, concerts, tournaments & other special events at Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center.
  • Facilitate any visiting team’s needs; oversee all specific requests, working with various departments to facilitate those requests.
  • Facilitate requests made by front office staff, vendors, League officials and others as needed.
  • Developing timelines, itineraries, and checklists prior to events.
  • Assist with compliance in accreditation and parking for Staff and Volunteers.
  • Coordinate pre-game events on the field in accordance with MLS rules and regulations.
  • Resolve customer service issues or work with supervisors if unable to do so alone.
  • Observe complex fields to ensure safety procedures, security procedures and equipment usage procedures are followed.
  • Update & maintain schedules for staff, complex and field usage
  • Develop and maintain all proper documentation & files for events
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Ticket Operations - The FC Dallas Ticket Operations Internship was designed to give college students the opportunity to develop valuable skills and gain firsthand experience in the professional sports industry. During the Internship program, participants will be supervised by the Ticket Operations Director and Box Office Manager for FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium. The intern will learn all aspects of the coordination and administration of Ticket Operations, Box Office, and Game Day Operations. This internship is designed for college students who are interested in pursuing a ticket operations career in the sports industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with daily correspondence to FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium guests
  • Assisting in any ticketed concerts, special events, and promotions held at Toyota Stadium
  • Assisting in order processing and fulfillment of all FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium Events
  • Administrative office duties including filing, organizing, data entry and mailing
  • Assisting in planning and implementing special marketing events and promotions
  • Working closely with fan relations and sales staff to fulfill orders

2017 Team Toyota Stadium - Game day Grounds crew - FC Dallas (Frisco, TX)

FC Dallas and Toyota stadium are looking for individuals to work on an as needed basis during the 2017 FC Dallas Soccer season.  The Game day Grounds  team will be responsible for the set-up and tear down of the field equipment  for events held at Toyota Stadium, mostly FC Dallas Home games.

FC Dallas Foundation 50/50 Raffle Sales Associate - FC Dallas (Frisco, TX)

This position will be the driving sales force behind the 50/50 Raffle Program benefiting the FC Dallas Foundation. This seasonal position will start in late March and run through the conclusion of the playoffs for all FC Dallas games.

A 50/50 raffle is a raffle that will take place at all home games of the team in accordance with Texas law, where one lucky winner will receive 50% of the jack pot (after allowable expenses) from that game, while the team foundation and a beneficiary will split the other 50% of the net proceeds.

The ideal candidate will be a punctual, hard-working and enthusiastic salesperson with excellent communications skills. This employee will be responsible for the sale of raffle tickets at each match to help benefit the charities selected by the FC Dallas Foundation as well as the foundation.

Job Duties:

  • Game night selling of raffle tickets to FC Dallas fans within Toyota Stadium in either a stationary kiosk location or as a roaming sales representative.
  • Accepting and accounting for large sums of cash at each match.

Facility Operations/Security: Custodial/Housekeeping
Facilities Service Associate - FC Dallas, Toyota Stadium (Frisco, TX)

Toyota Stadium and FC Dallas in Frisco is seeking facilities services workers for maintenance and cleaning of the stadium. Under the general supervision of the Facilities Coordinator and Housekeeping Manager, the employee will have the primary responsibility for cleaning the stadium, in such a way to promote health and safety and reduce the spread of infection.  The custodian will have to keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. It is the role of the employee to do the daily cleaning, special event cleaning, as well as, special projects.  Areas include, but not limited to, office areas, locker rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, storage areas, concourses, and entrances.  The employee will perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing carpets, washing walls and glass, and removing debris. The tasks may also include performing routine maintenance activities and notifying management of needed repairs. The custodian may also be responsible for additional tasks that are not specified below. If so, these rights are specified as an addition to this description. These additional jobs may include general building maintenance, laundry, painting, vehicle maintenance, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Clean building’s floors, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.

• Take out the trash

• Cleaning of restrooms including replacing the necessary products.

• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.

• Clean windows, doors, mirrors, using soapy water or other chemicals / cleaners, sponges and    squeegees.

• Dusting furniture, walls.

• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers for cleaning solutions prepared in accordance with specifications.

• Wash the carpets using machines and equipment

• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.

• Driving vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including RTV and forklifts. We will train.

• Follow instructions in the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, to avoid damage to floors and fixtures.

• Assist with building security by locking the gates and doors after entering or leaving.

• Able to move heavy furniture, equipment and either manually or by using hand trucks.

• Use pressure washers and blowers to clean the garbage from the stadium, sidewalks and streets.

• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

• Remove snow from sidewalks, and parking areas, using snow shovels and snow melting products.

HOUSEKEEPING ATTENDANT - FC Dallas, Major League Soccer & Toyota Stadium (Frisco, TX)

Toyota stadium in Frisco is looking for housekeeping workers to work on an as needed basis during events at our stadium and complex. Under the general supervision of the Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor, the employee has the primary responsibility for cleaning the stadium in such a way to promote health and safety while reducing the spread of infection. It is the role of the housekeeper to follow daily and occasion cleaning including, but not limited to, the offices areas, hallways, lounges, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, kitchens, restrooms, concourses, soccer fields and entrances so that health standards are met. The housekeeper may also be responsible for performing additional duties not stipulated below. If so, these duties are specified as an addendum to this description.


Duties:

  • Perform any combination of light cleaning duties
  • Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
  • Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Maintain floor cleanliness using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment.

The Partnership Marketing Coordinator will activate and manage the FC Dallas Soccer Tour (mobile marketing unit) as well as execute the contractual fulfillment needs of partnership agreements between FC Dallas/Toyota Stadium/Toyota Soccer Center/MoneyGram Soccer Park and its corporate partners, including, but not limited to, MLS games, concerts, player appearances, and special events.  Professionally conduct customer relationship management duties on a daily basis. Assist Partnership Marketing Staff with activations including player appearances, events, clinics and special projects. 

Job Duties:

  • Activate and manage the FC Dallas Soccer Tour (mobile marketing unit) which travels around the DFW metro-plex (approx. 75 activations annually), which includes scheduling events, set-up, execution, staffing, and corporate partner representation
  • Be onsite to work and implement promotions and client entertainment for corporate partner agreements as related to the FC Dallas Soccer Tour, FC Dallas games, concerts, player appearances, special events, etc.
  • Assist Senior Director with all special events, including planning, budgeting, execution, documentation, and follow-up
  • Facilitate consistent communication with corporate partners through all avenues of correspondence to plan accordingly for upcoming marketing efforts and campaigns
  • Review and assure that partner marketing elements are properly implemented at all times
  • Maintain relationships with 3rd party events for FC Dallas Soccer Tour participation and set-up
  • Assist Partnership Marketing Managers with the execution of contractual obligations such as community clinics, player appearances, corporate partner events, etc.
  • Keep proper records and distribute to Partnership Marketing Managers on all account actions, including photographs, CRM/KORE maintenance, affidavits, event summaries and reports
  • Organize, create and assemble event recaps for the Partnership Marketing Managers as it relates to the FC Dallas Soccer Tour, player appearances, events and individual accounts
  • Maintain comprehensive communication with Senior Director of Partnership Marketing and Partnership Marketing Managers

Qualifications:

The Senior Multimedia Coordinator will assist the Marketing Team in the creation of best-in-class content for FC Dallas, new US Soccer Hall Of Fame coming to Toyota Stadium, concerts and events put on by Toyota Stadium, Toyota Soccer Complex and MoneyGram Park properties. This position is responsible for supporting and helping shape our video development in a variety of advertising projects (both traditional and non-traditional media) and will assist in producing all multimedia projects for FC Dallas gameday (ex. Highlight videos, hype videos, player interactive videos, etc.) working closely with the FC Dallas Event Presentation/Marketing Team. This position will also be responsible for capturing and producing videos for other internal FC Dallas departments, including but not limited to: Partnership Marketing, Business Development, Ticket Sales, FC Dallas Pro Team and FC Dallas Youth/Academy Systems.

  • Conceptualize, capture and execute multimedia projects for online, broadcast, social media, game/in-stadium presentation and more. Work with team stakeholders to design and launch new video features, including editorial, commercial/promotional and competition.
  • Support the production of all visual/video content of FC Dallas' suite of digital properties, including FCDallas.com, ToyotaStadiumDallas.com, FCDallasYouth.com and applicable social media channels: YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook Video/Live
  • Understand brand and the importance of brand standards, and be able to apply such standards to all formats when necessary.
  • Manage multiple projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality control.
