2015 Spring Internship - Creative Design - FC Dallas (Frisco, TX)

FC Dallas of Major League Soccer and Toyota Stadium are looking for a student intern to work with the Creative Team in the creation and design of print and online/digital content. We have created a unique hands on experience for students looking to gain experience in the Sports and Entertainment industry. We are looking for bright, passionate, hard-working students to be a part of our team through our internship program. 

Toyota stadium & Soccer Center is a first-of-its-kind facility located in Frisco, Texas. The complex features two major components: a 20,000 seat, state-of-the-art pro stadium immediately adjacent to a sports park with 17 championship-quality sports/soccer fields. Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center is in use over 300 days per year, showcasing a wide variety of local, regional, national and international events.

All internships for FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium are unpaid internships, and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment, marketing, and sales industries. Hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights and weekends will be required.

CREATIVE DESIGN INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and design flyers, posters and other collateral to support the Sales, Partnerships and Marketing departments
  • Assist the Marketing team with the creation and design of online/digital graphics to use on web and social media outlets
  • Assist the Creative Team in photography projects from player photo and video shoots to merchandise product shoots

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

  • Must be an active college student pursuing a degree in Advertising, Fine Arts, Graphic Design or a related field.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to work well in team environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate thoughts, ideas and designs
  • Ability to multi-task on design projects

Technical Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of graphic design software in a MAC environment. The intern is required to have skills and abilities in the following areas:
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Photography experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus

Other Requirements

  • Student must be an active college student and receive college credit for completing internship.
  • Student must either own or have access to a computer that is compatible with software to complete work assignments.

FC Dallas Athletic Training Graduate Internship - FC Dallas (Frisco, TX)

FC Dallas Medical staff and Texas Health Resources training staff are looking for an Athletic Training Graduate intern.  This internship is unpaid and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university.  The Athletic Training Graduate Intern will support the entire FC Dallas medical staff and would have responsibilities to both the 1st team and the Development Academy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performance of athletic training duties
  • Operates under the supervision and direction of the FC Dallas Medical Staff and Team Physician
  • Assist with pre-season/new player entrance physicals, including baseline FMS/Movement Efficiency screens
  • Assist with set-up/break-down prior to and following all training sessions and matches
  • Assist in providing medical coverage for training sessions and matches
  • Data tracking and analysis of athletic training room/nutrition center inventory and restocking when necessary
  • Assist with various administrative duties such as organization/managing/filing paperwork
  • Assist in the implementation of Emergency Action Plans for all FC Dallas facilities including Toyota stadium, adjacent fields, weight room and athletic training rooms
  • Assist in designing/implementation/supervision of rehab & maintenance programs for injured athletes
  • Assist with injury evaluations and daily treatment sessions as needed
  • Assist with the supervision of undergraduate athletic training interns in the prevention, care and rehabilitation of FC Dallas players and Development Academy teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, or related field
  • Must receive school credit for internship
  • Current NATA BOC Certification
  • Texas State License (or eligible)Current CPR/AED Certification
  • Personal Professional Liability Insurance (which specifically covers working with professional athletes)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Flexibility to adjust to unexpected schedule changes
  • Multilingual (preferably in Spanish)
  • Personal vehicle for transportation to local training site(s)
  • Local Living arrangement (none provided)

Facility Operations/Security: Event Guest Relations
Guest Service Representative - FC Dallas (Frisco, TX)

FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium are currently looking for friendly and energetic Guest Services representatives to work during events held at Toyota Stadium such as Major League Soccer games, International soccer games, concerts and music festivals. They will be primarily responsible for providing effective customer service at the Guest Services area for all Toyota Stadium fans and customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of stadium policies and programs as well as utilizing team members within Security and Facility Operations to ensure all fans are helped in a timely and efficient manner.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate information to incoming fans regarding park policies, procedures, and layout.
  • Process customer orders/changes according to established department policies and procedures.
  • Handle unhappy fans and customers in a calm and professional manner.
  • Work closely with the Security and Facility operations to resolve issues for fans.
  • Provide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
  • Process lost and found items
  • Assist ADA fans with relocation and assistance needs.
  • Assists in implementation of emergency action plan at the facility.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Time Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

Retail Sales Associate - FC Dallas Team Store - FC Dallas (Frisco, TX)

The Retail Sales Associate will be primarily responsible for providing first rate retail customer service to all patrons at the FC Dallas Team store at Toyota Stadium. This position is a part time position and will be working in the Team store from 10 am - 3 pm Monday through Friday and during events held at the stadium. The majority of our events are FC Dallas Soccer home games, while we also host International soccer matches, concerts and music festivals.

Toyota Stadium is looking for qualified individuals to join our Security Event Staff.  The security event staff are responsible for ensuring a safe and fun atmosphere during all events at Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center.
