FC Dallas of Major League Soccer and Toyota Stadium have created a unique hands-on experience for students looking to gain experience in Non-Profit, Sports and Entertainment industry. We are looking for bright, passionate, hard-working students to be a part of our team through our internship program. 

Toyota stadium & Soccer Center is a first-of-its-kind facility located in Frisco, Texas. The complex features two major components: a 20,000 seat, state-of-the-art pro stadium immediately adjacent to a sports park with 17 championship-quality sports/soccer fields. Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center is in use over 300 days per year, showcasing a wide variety of local, regional, national and international events.  Toyota Stadium is the future home of the National Soccer Hall of Fame.

All internships for FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium are unpaid internships, and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment, marketing, and sales industries. Hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights and weekends will be required.

Foundation & Community Relations Internship: The FC Dallas Foundation is seeking a motivated intern, who is a self-starter and who is interested in developing the relationship FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium with the surrounding communities.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Managing incoming donation requests and fan mail
• Assisting with game-day initiatives and community programs
• Supporting the Executive Director of Foundation & Community Relations with the initiatives of the FC Dallas Foundation including upcoming events and fundraisers.

Minimum Requirements:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties:
• Assist with FC Dallas Game Day Operations
• Includes Game notes, press box set up, credential process
• Assist media with statistical questions, player interview requests, etc.
• Assist in writing Press Releases / Develop story lines / Blog posts
• Assist in creating Game Day Roster Handout and other publications FCD Hoops Nation, Enews, Freekick, etc.
• Assist in coverage of FCD Reserve Team and FCD Youth System / games at Toyota Stadium
• Assist with providing stories and content for FCD.net. FCD Blog.

Stadium and Complex Operations Internship: FC Dallas is seeking a Stadium Operations/Complex Operations intern who will work directly with the Stadium Operations and Complex Management Departments to assist with scheduling, organizing and coordinating of all events at Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center, with an emphasis on event day logistics. Event day logistics include locker room set-up, table and chair set-up, and pre-game operations. This internship is designed to give students an overall view of the daily operations of a Major League Soccer Stadium and Complex that is in use over 300 days a year.

Job Duties include:

  • Assist the Stadium Operations Department with game day operations to include set up, tear down and event management.
  • Assist with coordination among other departments to ensure that all day of game set-up, giveaways, signage, etc. are met effectively.
  • Help coordinate, plan, and oversee soccer events, concerts, tournaments & other special events at Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center.
  • Facilitate any visiting team’s needs; oversee all specific requests, working with various departments to facilitate those requests.
  • Facilitate requests made by front office staff, vendors, League officials and others as needed.
  • Developing timelines, itineraries, and checklists prior to events.
  • Assist with compliance in accreditation and parking for Staff and Volunteers.
  • Coordinate pre-game events on the field in accordance with MLS rules and regulations.
  • Resolve customer service issues or work with supervisors if unable to do so alone.
  • Observe complex fields to ensure safety procedures, security procedures and equipment usage procedures are followed.
  • Update & maintain schedules for staff, complex and field usage
  • Develop and maintain all proper documentation & files for events
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Must be detail-orientated with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Knowledge about the sport of Soccer.
  • Provide helpful and courteous customer service to all vendors and guests and have the ability to problem solve as needed.

Ticket Operations - The FC Dallas Ticket Operations Internship was designed to give college students the opportunity to develop valuable skills and gain firsthand experience in the professional sports industry. During the Internship program, participants will be supervised by the Ticket Operations Director and Box Office Manager for FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium. The intern will learn all aspects of the coordination and administration of Ticket Operations, Box Office, and Game Day Operations. This internship is designed for college students who are interested in pursuing a ticket operations career in the sports industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with daily correspondence to FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium guests
  • Assisting in any ticketed concerts, special events, and promotions held at Toyota Stadium
  • Assisting in order processing and fulfillment of all FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium Events
  • Administrative office duties including filing, organizing, data entry and mailing
  • Assisting in planning and implementing special marketing events and promotions
  • Working closely with fan relations and sales staff to fulfill orders
  • Assisting with ticket sales activities and events
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Background in sales, marketing, business, customer service or communications is encouraged
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written

Internships: Player Operations
2017 Summer Internship TEAM ADMINISTRATION - FC Dallas, Major League Soccer & Toyota Stadium (Frisco, TX)

Team Administration: The purpose of this internship is to assist the Director of Soccer Operations & Equipment Managers with the daily duties involved with the Major League Soccer team FC Dallas and their U-18 & U-16 Academy Teams.

Duties:

  • Assisting with the logistics of team travel – Visa requests, team itineraries, per diem request and distribution, in-city transportation, follow-up communication with travel agents and hotels

  • Ensure all necessary & required equipment is available for all FCD Home and Away Games for the 1st Team, Reserves and Academy sides

  • Ensure that all MLS requirements & protocols are followed for all games that FCD Teams are involved

  • Assist the Equipment managers with ordering, inventorying, preparation, & distribution of all equipment for the FCD Professional & Academy Programs, coaches & staff.

  • Assist the Equipment managers in the necessary & timely preparation for all professional team practices (Field & Equipment)

  • Assisting with the set-up of daily team practice – daily distribution of practice gear for 28 players, 5 Coaches, 4 staff members and all guest players

  • Perform necessary & required Laundry duties pertinent to the Professional Program, Academy Teams, Coaches, & Staff needs (Gear, Uniforms, towels etc.)

  • Receiving, cataloging and distribution of all new incoming team gear. Preserving and cataloging all archived team gear.

  • All other duties as assigned


Requirements:

Box Office Ticket Clerk - FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium - FC Dallas, Major League Soccer (Frisco, TX)

FC Dallas Soccer & Toyota Stadium are looking for fun, customer service oriented people to work in our Box Office during our upcoming seasons.  The purpose of each box office ticket clerk is to assist fans at the ticket windows with purchasing of tickets to FC Dallas/Toyota Stadium events. This is a part time position and the schedule is based around the events held at Toyota Stadium.The box office ticket clerks are responsible for providing exceptional customer service to each fan.

Responsibilities:
• Selling day of game tickets to customers using Veritix Box Office program.
• Processing customer ticket orders.
• Accepting payment and make change for ticket purchases.
• Answering customer’s questions concerning location and price of tickets /seats.
• Balancing cash and receipt drawer with manager at the end of shift.
• Providing Will Call tickets to customers after verifying customer identification
• Using knowledge of Toyota Stadium seating and Flashseats program in order to effectively meet the needs of customers.
• Providing exceptional customer service while handling customer transactions. Must be prepared to answer question pertaining to ticket process, stadium policies, stadium layout, and event details.

Qualifications:
• Previous customer service and cash handling experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manual or written instructions.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new programs and systems.

FC Dallas & Toyota Stadium/Soccer Center - Set Up Crew - FC Dallas, Major League Soccer (Frisco, TX)

FC Dallas and Toyota stadium/soccer center are looking for individuals to work on an as needed basis during the 2016 event season.  The Set Up event team will be responsible for the set-up and tear down of all of the equipment requests and stadium set up  for events held at Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center, to include tables, chairs, tents, staging equipment, barricades, field equipment and other related elements.

Duties:

  • Perform all tasks involved in the production of FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium events. This includes lifting, carrying, set-up and tear down of entire event.
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Requirements:

  • Work varying shifts, to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions to include extreme heat or cold.
  • Perform heavy manual labor
  • Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing in excess of 80 lbs with assistance from other members of the team.

FC Dallas Foundation 50/50 Raffle Sales Associate - FC Dallas (Frisco, TX)

This position will be the driving sales force behind the 50/50 Raffle Program benefiting the FC Dallas Foundation. This seasonal position will start in late March and run through the conclusion of the playoffs for all FC Dallas games.

A 50/50 raffle is a raffle that will take place at all home games of the team in accordance with Texas law, where one lucky winner will receive 50% of the jack pot (after allowable expenses) from that game, while the team foundation and a beneficiary will split the other 50% of the net proceeds.

The ideal candidate will be a punctual, hard-working and enthusiastic salesperson with excellent communications skills. This employee will be responsible for the sale of raffle tickets at each match to help benefit the charities selected by the FC Dallas Foundation as well as the foundation.

Job Duties:

  • Game night selling of raffle tickets to FC Dallas fans within Toyota Stadium in either a stationary kiosk location or as a roaming sales representative.
  • Accepting and accounting for large sums of cash at each match.
  • Communication of the 50/50 raffle rules and procedures clearly to potential customers.
  • Reconciling sales at the end of the match.

Facility Operations/Security: Custodial/Housekeeping
HOUSEKEEPING ATTENDANT - FC Dallas, Major League Soccer & Toyota Stadium (Frisco, TX)

Toyota stadium in Frisco is looking for housekeeping workers to work on an as needed basis during events at our stadium and complex. Under the general supervision of the Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor, the employee has the primary responsibility for cleaning the stadium in such a way to promote health and safety while reducing the spread of infection. It is the role of the housekeeper to follow daily and occasion cleaning including, but not limited to, the offices areas, hallways, lounges, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, kitchens, restrooms, concourses, soccer fields and entrances so that health standards are met. The housekeeper may also be responsible for performing additional duties not stipulated below. If so, these duties are specified as an addendum to this description.


Duties:

  • Perform any combination of light cleaning duties
  • Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
  • Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Maintain floor cleanliness using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
  • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. Polish accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
  • Remove debris from concourses, sidewalks, and playing fields.
  • Replenish supplies such as chemicals, paper goods, and bathroom items.
  • Load washing machines and fold dried items.
  • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, partitions, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
  • Request repair services and wait for repair workers to arrive.
  • Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides..
  • Dust window blinds, sills, furniture, and electronics.
  • Move and arrange furniture.
  • Observe precautions required to protect self and guest property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
  • Prepare work areas prior to events, and arrange equipment, and furniture for functions.
  • Wash dishes and clean kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware.
  • Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.

RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE - FC Dallas,Major League Soccer & Toyota Stadium (Frisco, TX)

The Retail Sales Associate will be primarily responsible for providing first rate retail customer service to all patrons at the FC Dallas Team store at Toyota Stadium. This position is a part time position and will be working in the Team store during events held at the stadium. The majority of our events are FC Dallas Soccer home games, while we also host International soccer matches, concerts and music festivals. 

 Job Duties:

  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly, clean, and well- maintained retail merchandise environment
  • Assist customers in all aspects of the retail purchasing process: product selection, checking-out, and/or bagging merchandise
  • Maintain solid product knowledge and an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
  • Assist with set-up, display maintenance, break-down, and register close-out procedures in the Team store.
  • Assist in tagging, warehousing and replenishing FC Dallas merchandise throughout Toyota Stadium
  • Communicate customer requests to management.
  • Assist in completing price changes within the department.
  • Participate in seasonal inventory and cycle counts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and some holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Previous customer service/retail/concession stand experience a plus
  • Previous cash handling and credit card machine experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in all outdoor weather conditions to include, extreme heat, cold and rain.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

SECURITY OFFICER - FC Dallas, Major League Soccer & Toyota Stadium (Frisco, TX)

We are looking for individuals to work evening shifts, on a part-time basis.  The position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Stadium Operations, Security and Complex Security Coordinator for assigned shifts in the security department and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customers and visitors to FC Dallas Main Office, Toyota Stadium and Toyota Soccer Center.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Patrolling property to include Toyota Stadium, club/suites area, front office, complex fields and all parking lots owned by FC Dallas.
  • Opening and closing responsibilities to include securing doors, locks, gates, loading dock area and complex fields.
  • Monitoring loading dock, control room camera equipment during shifts for any suspicious activity
  • Protecting Toyota Stadium and FC Dallas property from theft and/or vandalism.
  • Shipping and receiving duties to include logging and delivering items received in through loading dock. Duties will also include coordinating shipments out after third party events.
  • Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents and suspicious activity on property.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities.
  • Oversee the maintenance golf carts, forklifts, security equipment, and other equipment as assigned. This will include scheduling maintenance, reviewing and approving invoices, insuring proper billing.
  • Oversee lost and found
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

After a championship season that included the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title, FC Dallas has an outstanding opportunity for a social media champion to implement a pioneering social media strategy. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes social media. We want someone who can develop our brand voice, understand social media metrics and predict what tools we’ll be using in six months.

 The full-time position will also be responsible for growing our social media user base, increasing our engagement and looking for opportunities for strategic partnerships. This position will also collaborate with a number of departments within the franchise (Marketing, Partnerships, etc.) to ensure that our social media strategy aligns with our key business goals and successfully tells the FC Dallas, FC Dallas Academy, National Soccer Hall of Fame and Toyota Stadium story. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Team social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Periscope, YouTube
  • Maintain and further develop Team social media presence to inform, entertain and educate fan base
  • Leverage content on social media to drive traffic to FCDallas.com
  • Execute daily content across all platforms - from writing and creative through schedule of posts
  • Create and implement social media editorial calendar
  • Review existing Team social media strategies and policies
  • Develop and implement new social media strategy taking into account current, proven strategies
  • Develop smart, effective sponsor activation
  • Moderate fan message boards and comments across all platforms
  • Promote broadcast content, retail, ticket and community initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Expectations:

  • Grow social media following/engagement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Vast knowledge of all social media platforms and analytics platforms
  • Experience with writing, copy-editing

Job Duties

  • Assist in keeping Toyota Stadium and Soccer Complex tidy, organized and safe.
  • Maintaining Toyota Stadium and Soccer Complex staging area by working neatly and organized
  • Assist with site set up of plant materials.
  • Assist with keeping Toyota Stadium and Soccer Complex landscape maintained by mowing, edging, blowing, etc.
  • Assist with the set up and tear down of Terra floor for concerts and other events.
  • Assist with field preparation for soccer games, soccer tournaments, NCAA events and other events held on the complex. 

Job Requirements
