The Bilingual Account Executive position is full time, where the primary focus is on selling Minnesota United FC season ticket and group sales packages. You will receive dedicated training and you will learn techniques to maximize your verbal and written business communication skills. Prospects are targeted through new business initiatives and mining our current database via phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.  This position is located in Golden Valley, MN.  This position will start in mid-late December 2015.

Responsibilities:

  • Maximize ticket sales and ticket sales revenue through execution of meetings, sales calls, and networking events.
  • Target businesses to share information about our brand.
  • Exemplify the core characteristics of a strong sales culture, e.g. strong interpersonal skills, prompt and professional follow-through, openness to new ideas and suggestions, as well as exhibiting constant enthusiasm toward internal and external contacts.

Requirements:

  • Team player with a positive attitude, self-confidence, professionalism, resourcefulness, integrity, motivation, and a very strong work ethic.
  • Sales experience, although not required, is preferred.

Facility Operations/Security: Facility/Venue Management
Event Operations Staff - D.C. United (Washington, DC)

The Event Operations Staff is a part-time, seasonal position, working all D.C. United home

matches during the MLS season, as well as possible international competitions, and

international friendlies.  This is a match day position only.

The Event Operations Staff will work closely with the Operations Director, Manager,

and Coordinator in the logistical set-up and tear-down of RFK stadium during match

day. Candidates must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Major League Soccer season runs from March-November, candidates must be able to commit to

the D.C. United 2016 schedule for at least 90% of games, as well as attend 2 mandatory training sessions.

Essential Responsibilities:

Specific tasks will include

• Set-up/breakdown for all D.C. United home matches

• Prepare stadium areas including locker rooms, team benches, concourses, and tailgate spaces

• Management of other interns and event staff

• Coordinate with full time staff members to ensure successful event set-up and execution

• Adhere to a strict event timeline for preparing the stadium

• Provide operations and logistical support for D.C. United staff

  • Facilitate on-field activities during halftime and pre-game ceremonies

Skills:

• Previous experience in event management is ideal and a strong leadership background is a plus.

• Candidates should be very comfortable performing physical labor activities

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong work-ethic and proactive attitude are essential

• Ability to lift 40+lbs without strain

• Comfortable being active, and walking for long durations

Internship Overview:

The D.C. United Ticket Sales & Service team is looking for talented undergraduate and graduate students aspiring to enter the sports industry to join us as interns for the Summer 2016 Season.

As an intern you will learn what goes into driving revenue and attendance at D.C. United home matches while also participating as a member of the game day sales operations team.  Support will be provided to premium, season sales, group sales, membership services and events teams.

Goals:

·         Show initiative to assist Managers and Account Executives of the D.C. United sales department

·         Show initiative to create new revenue generating sales programs

·         Assist in the daily operations of the D.C. United sales department

Work Plan:

  • Participate in live sales training sessions
  • Support the department by attending non-matchday events to drive awareness and new leads for the club
  • Support the sakes/service staff with prospect list compilation and database entry

  • Support sales campaigns through outbound phone calls and follow up with prospects

    The 2016 Summer Camp Coaching & Operations Internship Program is an opportunity for an individual excited about soccer development, coahing and operations to immerse themselves into D.C. United's Summer Soccer Camps at RFK Stadium.  The individual will work closely with the camp site director and the Manager, Camps & Training Programs.  The primary role will be in assisting coaching staff with on field coaching as needed by any lead coach, equipment preparation and additional responsibilities listed below.

    Essential Functions:

    Coaching:

    • Help lead coach and provode coaching and positive feedbcak to youth players
    • Understand the topic for each session and be prepared to rpovide coaching based on coaching points
    • Assist site director in setting up camp and closing camp each day
    • Help with Registration on mondyas per site directors direction
    • Organize session (cones, balls, pinnies) for lead coaches
    • Help organize the youth players with the coaching staff to and from the stadium for events (lunch, locker room tour, team store trip, stadium tour, first team training, etc.)

    Education/Skills/Experience:

    • Youth coaching experience
    • High School or College playing experinece preferred but not required
    • Minimum "E" Coaching License or equivalent preferred but not required
    • Experience in child cpreferred
    • CPR/First Aid certification strongly preferred

    Professional Qualities:
