POSITION SUMMARY:

The D.C. United sales team seeks a motivated and passionate individual looking to continue a career in sport sales by selling season memberships for our new, state-of-the-art $300 million dollar, soccer-specific stadium, Audi Field. An ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is driven by meeting and exceeding sales objectives, and has prior ticket sales experience. Essential relationships will be derived from making outbound phone calls and incorporating social selling techniques to schedule face-to-face appointments at our new preview center.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospect and sell new season memberships for Audi Field and final year at RFK
  • Build relationships through phone calls, social selling, face-to-face appointments, and networking events
  • Play a crucial role in creating customer excitement around transitioning into Audi Field
  • Proactively seek new business through referrals and current clients
  • Create and implement sales strategies to produce new leads, referrals and sales
  • Represent yourself and D.C. United in a positive and professional manner
  • Meet or exceed daily and weekly expectations in regards to outbound activity and appointments
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals
  • Assist with game day responsibilities of sales department

Brand Ambassadors will act as the highly energetic and engaging faces of MNUFC. Job Description

Job Description

Minnesota United FC has created a hands-on learning experience for students and recent graduates looking to gain an understanding of a MLS Academy.  The MNUFC Development Academy Internship will be a paid, part-time position (15-20 hours per week depending on travel) from August to December within the Development Academy teams. This role provides a unique educational experience and a behind-the-scenes look into various elements associated with the Development Academy. The participant will be supervised by the Academy General Manager.

Learning Objectives  

·         Learn about various administrative roles in the MNUFC Development Academy

·         Gain hands-on experience in marketing, administration and operations

·         Travel to away Development Academy matches for operations such as, meal coordination, study sessions, etc.

·         Daily operations of Development Academy training sessions

·         Ensure a successful set-up and execution of Development Academy home matches, which includes filming of matches for technical analysis

 

Requirements 

·         Recent graduate or current student working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis in a related field

Fall Operations Intern - D.C. United (Washington, DC)

Description

 
D.C. United Operations interns will report directly to the Operations Coordinator.  They will also function in a support role to the Director and Managers. Specific tasks will include various event management duties, set-up/breakdown of all D.C. United home matches, office maintenance, and other event/facility operations needs. All internships for D.C. United are unpaid internships; however interns are paid for hours worked on game days. The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment and marketing industry.


Primary Responsibilities:

Duties will include assisting with event management, set-up/breakdown for all D.C. United home matches, office maintenance projects, and various other operations responsibilities. Other responsibilities will include assisting in the maintenance of company vehicles, facility repair requests, equipment storage and inventory, as well as supporting the management of the D.C. United volunteer team consisting of 50 volunteers.  Interns will also assist with accreditation of matchday personnel, occasional first team operational needs, and management of other event staff.

Supportive functions include the planning, logistics, and execution of employee training programs. Interns can also expect to complete various physical labor tasks related to overall daily operation of the club, including event setup/breakdown and other logistical needs related to D.C. United events at RFK Stadium, as well as other nearby venues.  Planning and preparation for Audi Field will be a key component of the Fall Event & Operations internship. 


Requirements:

  • Candidates must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Applicants available to commit full time are preferred, but part time candidates will also be considered.
  • Candidates should be very comfortable performing physical labor duties on a daily basis.
  • Previous experience in event management is ideal and a strong leadership background is a plus.

Digital Video Production: D.C. United are looking for a video production intern to assist the Digital Media and Communications department. The video production intern will report to the Video Producers and assist with the day to day objectives of the Digital Media and Communications Department.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in shooting and editing video segments  
  • Assist in conducting player interviews 
  • Assist the Digital Media and Communications department on game days including shooting and logging game footage
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in a journalism school (or comparable training)
  • Excellent storytelling skills. A reel or packages must be submitted that demonstrate this ability.
  • Ability to make creative and energetic hype videos 
  • Strong video production skills that include digital video workflows with Nikon DSLRs, Premier Pro, CS6, Final Cut 7
  • Basic animation skills in Adobe After Effects CS6 is a plus but not a requirement
  • Owing your own gear is a plus, but not a requirement

Photography Intern: D.C. United are looking for a photography intern to assist the Digital Media and Communications department. The photography intern will report to the Content Strategist and will assist with the day to day objectives of the Digital Media and Communications Department.

Job Duties:

  • Shoot action photos of training sessions
  • Shoot photos during game days and other events as needed.
  • Edit photos in Photoshop
  • Post game day photo galleries to the team website
  • Photograph fans and in-game presentation
  • Handle image sourcing / emailing internal & external photo requests
  • Assist with archiving of photos
  • Edit photos used on social media

Qualifications:

  • Applicants should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis in photography, photo journalism, or related field. 
  • Interested in pursuing a career in photography

  • Assists in real-time coverage during gamedays.
  • Track, monitor, and engage with fan feedback.

Overview: The Ticket Operations Assistant will support the Ticket Operations department for D.C. United through working in the box office on match days with varying responsibilities, providing support to full-time ticket operations staff on non-match days, and collaborating with different departments within the organization when necessary.

Essential Functions:

Job Description

The Ticket Operations Manager position manages and supervises the ticket operation of Minnesota United FC and ensures that the team is operating within the scope of generally accepted ticket operations standards and practices.  It manages all ticket distribution and trains, supervises and manages the Box Office staff.  It will also manage the clubs transition from one ticketing system to another.

Responsibilities

·         Manage and maintain all seating manifests for all stadiums team plays in

·         Develop accurate and insightful reports on ticket sales and services as requested

·         Generate and maintain a customer friendly buying process for promotions as requested by staff

·         Hire, manage and train a friendly and efficient box office staff

·         Act as lead in software training and integration, including training for staff and season ticket holders. This includes receiving on-going training and actively seeking out knowledge in all software in order to be the team expert in technology as it relates to the Box Office and ticketing

·         Be an integral role in preparing, implementing and controlling all aspects of season ticket renewals, pricing, incoming payments and payment plans

·         Ensure the team is adhering to all PCI Compliance standards

·         Act as the box office manager on all home matches and assist in problem solving for all match day related issues

·         Create and maintain record keeping and filing structure

·         Be the access management system expert and act as lead in training for match day ticket takers

·         Manage all consignment and ticket broker accounts

·         Communicate openly with Director of Ticket Sales on all aspects of ticket operations

·         Manage and control group and season ticket inventory

·         Order supplies for Ticket Operations (ticket stock, season tickets, forms, envelopes, etc.)

·         Work with team administrator concerning player and staff tickets

Requirements

·         Excellent computer skills: expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

·         Undergraduate degree in Sport Management, Marketing, Business Intelligence or related field

·         Minimum of 4 years of ticketing experience preferred

·         Understanding of Spectra and Seat Geek systems preferred

·         Excellent customer service skills

·         Experience with CRM software

·         Ability to work weekends and holidays

Job Description

The Ticket Operations and Analytics Coordinator position is entry level, where the primary focus is assisting the Ticket Operations Manager with managing and growing the sales database, developing and running reports, and ensuring the box office is running smoothly on game days.  This position is highly analytical and technology-based, but requires business development sense and an entrepreneurial spirit as well. 

Responsibilities

·         Create and maintain patron records in CRM system.

·         Assist with managing the sales database.

·         Enter data captured from events, contests, and games into the system.

·         Develop new leads and enter them into the system.

·         Organize, set up, troubleshoot and tear down the box office area and equipment to be ready for game day needs.

·         On game days, assist in the box office, answering questions for patrons, and running the ticketing system.

·         Create and analyze complex sales reports for use by upper management.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in sports administration, business, or computer science preferred.

·         Technological aptitude; the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and solve reporting problems.

·         Team player with a positive attitude, self-confidence, professionalism, resourcefulness, integrity, motivation, and a very strong work ethic.

·         Excellent verbal and written skills.

·         Very strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Preferred

·         Bilingual (English and Spanish).

·         Paciolan/Spectra systems experience.
