Job Description:
This is a full-time, entry-level position. Your primary focus will be on selling Minnesota United FC season ticket sales packages. You will receive dedicated training and you will learn techniques to maximize your verbal and written business communication skills. Prospects are targeted through new business initiatives and mining our current database via phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings. This position is located in Golden Valley, MN.

Account Specialist, Membership Services - D.C. United (Washington, DC)

The Membership Services team is responsible for the day to day management of full season and premium member accounts. The Membership Services team will focus on building relationships, servicing, and renewing their book of business.  The duties include, but are not limited to, outbound and inbound calls, emails, face-to face appointments, as well as managing ticket transfers, re-prints, and much more.  The Membership Services team will also assist the ticket sales department in generating new business revenue through the sale of new premium, full season, partial season and group ticket plans.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a database of Full season accounts
  • Build strong relationships with account base through proactive communication including face-to-face appointments, seat visits, touch points, phone calls, emails and other communication channels. 
  • Provide all full season member accounts with a minimum of one touch point per month with a goal to acquire knowledge and understanding of the fans, their changing preferences, needs, wants and demographics
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and effectively and enthusiastically communicates all team happenings, events, Season Ticket Member benefits and stadium details
  • Provide timely communication with Season Ticket Members in regard to game date changes, invoices, payment plans, parking, renewal deadlines, and match information
  • Provide a dedicated effort to renewal campaign
  • Handle inbound calls and emails from current season ticket holders
  • Oversee execution and fulfillment of ticket sales programs including, but not limited to additional ticket requests from season ticket holders and sales events
  • Generate new ticket sales revenue focusing on D.C. United Season Tickets, Partial packages, and Group tickets through referrals and current client development
  • Meet or exceed new business and renewal goals as assigned by the Vice President, Ticket Sales and Service
  • Maintain a detailed customer database of all clients and prospects. This includes, but is not limited to: referral follow-ups, existing client programs, new solicitation and other programs as developed
  • Build strong relationships with account base through proactive communication including seat visits, touch points, phone calls, emails and other communication channels.  A minimum of one touch point per month with full season ticket accounts is the expectation

Job Description

The Director of Digital Media is responsible for all digital strategy, including internet, email, database, APPs, social media and other interactive Digital initiatives. This person will work closely with the appropriate operations, marketing, communications, and sales departments, as he/she drives the strategy and development of marketing and team content for distribution via various MNUFC platforms including, but not limited to: mnufc.com, blogs, third-party websites, social media, APPs, etc. This person will supervise the Digital Content Manager, the Social Media Coordinator, and the Marketing Coordinator. This position is located in Golden Valley, MN.

Essential Job Functions:

·         Direct and manage all digital strategy for MNUFC (websites, email communications, social media platforms, and mobile applications)

·         Serve in a leadership role within the department

·         Deliver an integrated digital strategy across a variety of departments: Marketing & Communications, Ticket Sales & Service, Sponsorship, etc. 

·         Develop unique digital content and direct strategic digital plans for a variety of organization-wide initiatives (breaking news, ticket sales, MNUFC programs, promotions, events and more)

·         Create fan-engagement initiatives to increase followers and encourage interaction with MNUFC digital assets (mnufc.com, social media platforms and mobile), including customized content, trivia, polls, contests, sweepstakes and more

·         Monitor and track trends in digital content consumption to help make decisions on what content is resonating with users

·         Develop and measure key metrics for large initiatives and develop plans for course correction when needed

·         Create and provide dashboards including benchmark information and recommendations for future initiatives. Utilize metrics to optimize the user experience and increase engagement and reduce drop-off rates

·         Act as key MNUFC liaison to Major League Soccer Digital department

o   Disseminate messaging to/from appropriate internal stakeholders

o   Guide creation of custom landing pages.

·         Supervise MNUFC Digital Department personnel

·         Develop and manage a yearly editorial calendar of key events, announcements, unique content and various storylines for digital offerings

·         Generate content ideas and organize production of behind-the-scenes videos for mnufc.com, APPs, social media assets and Video on Demand

·         Develop creative campaigns and manage execution for special initiatives

·         Develop creative strategy and manage execution for social media promotions and campaigns (scavenger hunts, in-park social media promotions, etc.)

·         Establish and maintain budgets for digital initiatives, video production, special events relating to social media engagement

·         Monitor effectiveness of all MNUFC digital efforts and track progress by creating and delivering monthly progress reports

·         Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree required, and a concentration in journalism or English is preferred

·         At least three years of experience working at a digital agency required   

·         A minimum of five years of experience directly relevant to above tasks and responsibilities with demonstrated record of accomplishment

·         Solid experience in sports/entertainment is strongly preferred

·         A broad and practical knowledge of writing, editing, proofreading, advertising and digital in addition to professional and sound judgment

·         A proven track record growing an online audience via various forms of content, fan interactivity and engaging promotions

·         Demonstrated success in implementing copywriting skills in a similarly-sized and high profile organization is strongly preferred.

·         Ability to collaborate and work together as a part of a team with all departments within the organization

Guest Services Event Staff (2017 Season) - D.C. United (Washington, DC)

The D.C. United Guest Services staff is a part-time, seasonal group of employees who work all D.C. United home games and certain additional events taking place at RFK Stadium. Guest Services staff members work in a variety of different areas, including as ticket takers, ushers, premium attendants, and more. We are looking for people who enjoy interacting with others and are willing to go above and beyond to make our guests’ experience the best it can be!

 Position Summary

·   Work for D.C. United for the 2017 Major League Soccer season.

·   Hours available on game days ONLY.

·   Part-time, seasonal position that pays $12.50 per hour for all new employees.

·   Season runs from March through November.

·   Average games per month – 2 to 3.

·   Average hours per shift – 4 to 6 (10 to 15 hours per month).

·   Must be available to attend mandatory, paid training sessions.

 Position Responsibilities

·   Positions include ticket takers, ushers, and Guest Services attendants.

·   Responsible for greeting guests, scanning tickets, and assisting guests throughout the stadium.

·   Check guest tickets and provide directions to various locations within the stadium.

·   Monitor crowd behavior and ensure that ticketed guests find their seats.

·   Make sure RFK Stadium is kept presentable and reporting problems as they arise.

·   Make sure that all guests receive appropriate assistance.

·   Provide our guests with a great entertainment experience in an environment that is friendly and safe.

Player Operations: Coach
Junior Coach - Minnesota United FC (Golden Valley, MN)

The Junior Coach will help run the Minnesota United FC Camps and training sessions around the Twin Cities metro.  This flexible, part time, seasonal position reports to the Lead Coach at each camp and training session, as well as the Director of Camps & Youth Development. Please note that this is a part time, contract, seasonal position working with youth camps only.  It is not a position working with the professional players or the Academy.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

Job Description
The Facility/Procurement Coordinator is a full-time position. Responsibilities include researching pricing and potential vendors, obtaining price quotes, gathering bids, and monitoring/tracking the status of all purchase requisitions for our new stadium.  This position is located primarily in Golden Valley, MN, but will also involve work at the stadium site in St. Paul.   

Essential Job Functions:
•    Confer with internal stakeholders and external project managers/consultants to determine purchasing     needs 
•    Perform research to determine pricing range and lists of potential vendors  
•    Contact vendors and confer with them in order to provide them with necessary requirements
•    Obtain pricing quotes from vendors 
•    Present information to internal stakeholders and external project managers/consultants for decision
•    Monitor and track status of all purchase requisitions and serve as point of contact for vendors 
•    Coordinate and track delivery of the materials 
•    Ensure correct materials are delivered to the stadium site at the right time
•    Verify proper quantity and quality of delivered items
