 POSITION TITLE: 50/50 Raffle Seller

DEPARTMENT: Chicago Fire Foundation

REPORTS TO: Events and Development Coordinator, Chicago Fire Foundation

The Chicago Fire's goal on the field is to play hard and win. Its goal off the field is to contribute to the quality of life in Chicago and its surrounding communities. Through the Chicago Fire Foundation, the Fire is able to give back by developing programs that reach out to Chicagoland's community. Must be able to attend orientation on March 4, 2017.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chicago Fire Foundation is looking for high-energy, motivated sellers to join our 50/50 raffle sales team for the 2017 season.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

·         Sell 50/50 raffle tickets in an enthusiastic manner

·         Actively approach fans pre-game and in-game to explain the details of the 50/50 raffle program

·         Utilize portable electronic tablets and printers for the sale of tickets

·         Accurately handle all transactions and distribution of tickets

·         Answer fan questions regarding raffle program, as well as basic TOYOTA PARK and Chicago Fire     information

·         Understand the mission of the Chicago Fire Foundation

·         Represent the Club and Foundation as brand ambassadors

·         Time Requirement: Arrive 90 minutes before game time. Shift ends during the second half.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Must be 18+ years old

·         Must have reliable transportation to TOYOTA PARK

·         Must be prompt and arrive to games on time

·         Must be a responsible, motivated individual with a competitive spirit

·         Must have superior customer service skills

·         Must demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the Chicago Fire

·         Must be able to take and follow directions well

·         Must be able to work a minimum of 10 Chicago Fire home matches (March-October)

·         Prior customer service or sales experience is a plus

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club is seeking a motivated individual to assist with daily media relations duties and game day media operations. This position is for an individual with exceptional written and verbal communications skills. The individual should possess strong time management skills and the ability to multitask.

Applicants should have a strong understanding of the Chicago Fire and Major League Soccer. 

This is an unpaid internship and is for college credit only. Proof that you are receiving credit is required. 



Primary Responsibilities

  • Compilation of daily Fire coverage
  • Assist in managing Social Media results
  • Management of Fire media distribution lists
  • Research for and write press releases and other Communications projects
  • Produce Fire related content for press releases and website
  • Participate in Communications department meetings and events
  • Assisting in all aspects of press box operations on game days including press box setup, managing Media Will Call, transcribing quotes and additional duties.

Event Operations Team Member - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club is seeking qualified individuals to participate behind the scenes on match days and during special events. The candidate will be an essential part of the Event Operations team by providing material and operational support to the Front Office and First Team. This position will provide a broad and extensive resume-building experience for individuals interested in event or sports management fields.  All applicants must be able to attend orientation on March 4th 2017.

 Responsibilities:

- Organize, manage and transport operations equipment for Chicago Fire home matches and special events

- Coordinate event logistics, including development and execution of—floor plans, collateral placement, crowd management and emergency safety measures

- Set-up and dress activation areas according to Marketing and Corporate Partnership contract obligations

- Assist on-field activities on match days by setting up team benches and locker rooms, managing ball kids, sitting stretcher crew and leading kids in pre-game/half-time ceremonies

- Load and transport equipment and manage activations at all grassroots Marketing events

- Represent the Chicago Fire Soccer Club and its respective partners/sponsors with pride and passion

- Additional duties assigned by direct supervisor

Qualifications:

• Manage time effectively, with the ability to perform well with strict deadlines
• Be comfortable multi-tasking and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
• Perform strenuous physical duties, including carrying heavy boxes and equipment
• Maintain an effective working relationship with coworkers, fans, vendors and sponsors

The Chicago Fire is seeking energetic, outgoing, and soccer-passionate individuals to represent the club at our brand new soccer facility on the Northside of Chicago - The PrivateBank Fire Pitch. These candidates will be an integral part of the team, setting the tone for all customers (soccer players young and old, parents, fans, etc.) who walk through our doors. This part-time, paid position aims to provide those seeking future sports employment with the opportunity to interact within the world of sports in Chicago.  Please Note:  Candidates must be willing to work most weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to):

  • Represent the Chicago Fire at our facility, while interacting with adult players, children and parents

Graphic Designer Intern - Winter/Spring 2017 - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview/Chicago, Il)

Expectations: The Intern Designer position for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club is responsible for any and all creative undertakings by the club across a variety of media including web, print, promotional items and stadium installation/environment. The intern will service all departments with any creative or design needs, from initial concepts to final production, execution and/or distribution. The Intern Designer is responsible for maintaining the visual integrity of the club as perceived by the market, and for strengthening brand presence within that market. He or she must demonstrate the ability to supply creative solutions on a daily basis to a variety of requested projects while remaining organized and on task. Internships are unpaid (except for $100/month transportation stipend) and available only to persons who will receive college or graduate level credit for their work. The Fire accepts a limited number of internships to ensure that interns gain valuable work experience.

Responsibilites:

  • Organize and manage multiple projects in various stages of progress
  • Formulate design concepts, presentations, templates, layouts, merchandise, installations and other collateral from initial idea to final execution
  • Create advertising campaigns that are followed across a variety of collateral
  • Develop understanding of target audience and market for specifically aimed marketing pieces
  • Present or pitch ideas, briefs, and concepts to various parties, in and out of house
  • Prioritize and filter work load coming from all departments through a design request form system

Guest Service Matchday Ambassador - CHAMPS Ambassador - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

GUEST SERVICE AMBASSADOR : Looking for Customer Service passionate individuals.  The game-day Guest Service Ambassador will work Chicago Fire soccer events at TOYOTA PARK. He/She is primarily responsible for providing each fan with a comfortable and enjoyable environment to view soccer matches. This is accomplished through superior knowledge of guest services and the layout of the facility, while ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed. RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

• Usher- Direct fans around facility (bathrooms, seating, concessions, etc… check tickets, greet fans with a smile & positive attitude, answer questions and ensure all fan needs are met, ensure safety of staff and fans, keep area clean, handle complaints and collect feedback, provide assistance fans with special needs and support other event day staff.

• Guest Relations- provide wheelchair escorts, assist with lost and found, re-unite separated parties, wipe down seats, distribute giveaways, direct fans around facility, greet fans with a smile & positive attitude, answer questions and ensure all fan needs are met, ensure safety of staff and fans, handle complaints and collect feedback and support other event day staff.

• Monitor seating areas, elevators and concourse

• Uphold the fan experience standards set by the Chicago Fire

QUALIFICATIONS:

Marketing Internship

 Description:

The Chicago Fire currently has a rare opening for a motivated and enthusiastic college student looking to get great sports marketing exposure. The ideal candidate will be looking for a career either in sports marketing, or potentially events, and be able to work a mixture of days, evenings and weekends. He or she will work directly with the Marketing Coordinator and Senior Director of the facility, and will assist in the creation of new marketing ideas, develop and improve existing ones and follow through on successful execution.

Player Operations: Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapy/Doctor
Massage Therapist - Soccer Operations - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

Purpose:  To improve the overall treatment and care of our athletes and club by improving operational efficiency and creating greater personal attention. (Must have Professional or College Sport Experience.)

Massage:

1.    Create individualized soft tissue treatments utilizing a multitude of modalities for optimal performance, efficient recovery, and timely return from injury

2.    Effectively manage and communicate a constantly evolving massage schedule

3.    Clear and rapid communication regarding treatment findings with medical and technical staff

4.    Provide house calls when appropriate/necessary

5.    Maintain active involvement with daily medical staff meetings

6.    Stay current with research on soft tissue techniques and recovery modalities

Assist Sports Medicine Staff:

1.    Assist with treatment modalities when needed/appropriate

2.    Continue treatment with the players actively involved in rehab and recovery/return to play strategies?3.    Continue treatment with the players that are still around the Chicago Area during the off season?

4.    Collaboration with the sports medicine staff and strength staff for injury prevention strategies, off season training program, recovery and nutrition?

5.    Planning along with the sports medicine staff for preseason proceedings in a multidisciplinary environment

?6.  Continued education participation along with the sports medicine staff?

7.   Preparation as part of the sports medicine staff for the combine and the MLS medical symposium

?8.   Front office wellness day (with the plan to schedule quarterly pending full time employment)
