POSITION TITLE: 50/50 Raffle Seller

DEPARTMENT: Chicago Fire Foundation

REPORTS TO: Events and Development Coordinator, Chicago Fire Foundation/Community Relations

The Chicago Fire's goal on the field is to play hard and win. Its goal off the field is to contribute to the quality of life in Chicago and its surrounding communities. Through the Chicago Fire Foundation, the Fire is able to give back by developing programs that reach out to Chicagoland's community. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chicago Fire Foundation is looking for high-energy, motivated sellers to join our 50/50 raffle sales team for the 2017 season.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

·         Sell 50/50 raffle tickets in an enthusiastic manner

·         Actively approach fans pre-game and in-game to explain the details of the 50/50 raffle program

·         Utilize portable electronic tablets and printers for the sale of tickets

·         Accurately handle all transactions and distribution of tickets

·         Answer fan questions regarding raffle program, as well as basic TOYOTA PARK and Chicago Fire        information

·         Understand the mission of the Chicago Fire Foundation

·         Represent the Club and Foundation as brand ambassadors

·         Time Requirement: Arrive 90 minutes before game time. Shift ends during the second half.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Must be 18+ years old

·         Must have reliable transportation to TOYOTA PARK

·         Must be prompt and arrive to games on time

·         Must be a responsible, motivated individual with a competitive spirit

·         Must have superior customer service skills

·         Must demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the Chicago Fire

·         Must be able to take and follow directions well

·         Must be able to work all remaining Chicago Fire home matches (June -October)

·         Prior customer service or sales experience is a plus

·         Candidates must be willing to work nights and weekends

Graphic Designer Intern - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview/Chicago, Il)

Expectations: The Intern Designer position for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club is responsible for any and all creative undertakings by the club across a variety of media including web, print, promotional items and stadium installation/environment. The intern will service all departments with any creative or design needs, from initial concepts to final production, execution and/or distribution. The Intern Designer is responsible for maintaining the visual integrity of the club as perceived by the market, and for strengthening brand presence within that market. He or she must demonstrate the ability to supply creative solutions on a daily basis to a variety of requested projects while remaining organized and on task.

Internships are unpaid (except for $100/month transportation stipend) and available only to persons who will receive college or graduate level credit for their work. The Fire accepts a limited number of internships to ensure that interns gain valuable work experience.

Responsibilites:

  • Organize and manage multiple projects in various stages of progress
  • Formulate design concepts, presentations, templates, layouts, merchandise, installations and other collateral from initial idea to final execution
  • Create advertising campaigns that are followed across a variety of collateral
  • Develop understanding of target audience and market for specifically aimed marketing pieces
  • Present or pitch ideas, briefs, and concepts to various parties, in and out of house
  • Prioritize and filter work load coming from all departments through a design request form system
  • Design advertisements, print materials, still digital imaging and web graphics
  • Meet all advertising and print deadlines
  • Contribute to the invention and implementation of marketing/communications initiatives

Requirements

  • Applicants MUST receive college credit for the internship
  • Practice a professional attitude when working with outside sources (ie. publications, print partners, creative agencies, vendors)
  • Develop good rapport with other members of the Marketing Department
  • Maintain an approachable persona as well as organized and respectful communication with all other departments
  • Work closely with the Graphic Designer to ensure a cohesive message and look across all design projects and materials
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Programs, HTML a plus

Facility Operations/Security: Event Guest Relations
Guest Service Matchday Ambassador - CHAMPS Ambassador - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

GUEST SERVICE AMBASSADOR : Looking for Customer Service passionate individuals.  The game-day Guest Service Ambassador will work Chicago Fire soccer events at TOYOTA PARK. He/She is primarily responsible for providing each fan with a comfortable and enjoyable environment to view soccer matches. This is accomplished through superior knowledge of guest services and the layout of the facility, while ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed. This position requires 5 hour shifts and attendance is mandatory for every remaining home game. The schedule can be found at http://www.chicago-fire.com/schedule 

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

• Usher- Direct fans around facility (bathrooms, seating, concessions, etc… check tickets, greet fans with a smile & positive attitude, answer questions and ensure all fan needs are met, ensure safety of staff and fans, keep area clean, handle complaints and collect feedback, provide assistance fans with special needs and support other event day staff.

• Guest Relations- provide wheelchair escorts, assist with lost and found, re-unite separated parties, wipe down seats, distribute giveaways, direct fans around facility, greet fans with a smile & positive attitude, answer questions and ensure all fan needs are met, ensure safety of staff and fans, handle complaints and collect feedback and support other event day staff.

• Monitor seating areas, elevators and concourse

• Uphold the fan experience standards set by the Chicago Fire

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 18 years of age

• Excellent customer service skills

• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with a diverse staff

• Tenacious work ethic

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Detail oriented and highly organized with an ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and adapt to change

Technical Services: Computer Information Systems
Information Technology Part-Time Assistant - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

The Information Technology assistant will report directly to the Information Technology Manager.  This position is responsible for assisting with the daily upkeep of the Chicago Fire/Toyota Park data and telecom networks with a specific focus on providing support to the venue on event days.  The Information Technology Intern will also be charged with setting up and maintaining computer hardware and software.  Listed below are the responsibilities and qualifications expected of this position.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up telecom and data connections for Chicago Fire

  • Assist with troubleshooting server, network, desktop hardware, printer and software issues

  • Assist with event execution; responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Pre-event set-up (technology needs, broadcast  and internet connections, etc.

    • Post-event tear-down and cleanup

    • Audio/Visual assistance

    • Assist with technology needs and issues during the event

  • Assist with setting up workstation and telecom needs for all employees

  • Assist with the completion of projects supporting the execution plan of the IT Department

  • Implement facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Handle additional administrative duties related to the IT Department as assigned by the IT Manager to include such items as research and development of new IT initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

  • Must be well organized and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision; must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively work with a large and diverse population.

  • Fluency in a second language is preferred.

  • Must be able to operate under extreme deadlines.

  • Must be able to work 25 - 30 hours per week.

  • Must be willing to work long hours, irregular schedules and weekends.

  • Must work all home Chicago Fire games

  • Must have knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Windows OS and office

  • Knowledge of MAC OS and server platforms is a plus

  • May be asked occasionally to travel to remote Chicago office

  • Hourly Rate: $10.50 per hour

Player Operations: Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapy/Doctor
Massage Therapist - Soccer Operations - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

Purpose:  To improve the overall treatment and care of our athletes and club by improving operational efficiency and creating greater personal attention. (Must have Professional or College Sport Experience.)

Massage:

  1. Create individualized soft tissue treatments utilizing a multitude of modalities for optimal performance, efficient recovery, and timely return from injury
  2. Effectively manage and communicate a constantly evolving massage schedule
  3. Clear and rapid communication regarding treatment findings with medical and technical staff
  4. Provide house calls when appropriate/necessary
  5. Maintain active involvement with daily medical staff meetings
  6. Stay current with research on soft tissue techniques and recovery modalities

Assist Sports Medicine Staff:

  1. Assist with treatment modalities when needed/appropriate
  2. Administer water, OTG, and/or electrolyte drinks during training and matches
  3. Prep the training room before halftime with hydration equipment, ice towels, heat packs, and anything else necessary for all home and away matches
  4. Locker room liaison for all needs during home and away matches

Assist Equipment staff:

  1. Load and unload bus for all away trips
  2. Day of game preparations on the field and in the locker room
  3. Daily training preparations on the field and in the locker room
  4. Stock/manage supplies

Assist fitness staff:

  1. Prep recovery shakes for post training and post match
  2. Prep post training nutrition
  3. Collaborate on optimal recovery strategies

Assist admin/operations staff

  1. Away game logistics for transportation, accommodation, and player needs
  2. Manage trialists (documentation, travel, housing, etc)
  3. Assist with new player acclimation
  4. Create and manage an all-time player database

Off season:

  1. Continue treatment with the players until they are fully dismissed?
  2. Continue treatment with the players actively involved in rehab and recovery/return to play strategies
  3. Continue treatment with the players that are still around the Chicago Area during the off season?
  4. Collaboration with the sports medicine staff and strength staff for injury prevention strategies, off season training program, recovery and nutrition?
  5. Planning along with the sports medicine staff for preseason proceedings in a multidisciplinary environment
  6. Continued education participation along with the sports medicine staff?
  7. Preparation as part of the sports medicine staff for the combine and the MLS medical symposium
  8. Front office wellness day (with the plan to schedule quarterly pending full time employment)

The Game Day Emcee is essential to the gameday experience for all Chicago Fire matches. This position will host a 2-hour pregame festival (called “Fire Fest”). The Emcee is responsible for getting fans excited by engaging them with various games and prizes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Host a 2-hour pregame festival (“Fire Fest”), which include the following: interview and interact with fans before FIRE games; coordinate contests, or other pre-game competitions (e.g., asking questions of fans, awarding prizes); highlighting Corporate Partners in attendance.
  • Demonstrate a passion for being a part of the FIRE organization and for the sport of soccer.
  • Consistently self-evaluate performance in the role and bring new, creative ideas to improve while staying within the framework of his / her character.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Coordinator.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a host/emcee/on-air talent.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Have extensive on-camera experience as a host or emcee in various capacities.
  • Possess a great voice that commands attention and delivers assigned messages with impact.
  • Commit to ALL FIRE home games and maintain a flexible schedule throughout the season for events associated with the team and its partners.
  • Physical ability to move self and equipment around Fire Fest to meet activation obligations.
  • Possess the intelligence necessary to comprehend scripts and adapt quickly to changes.
  • Possess a personality that engages and promotes interaction with fans.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:Job requires employee to function in a highly active and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.

Reports to:  Manager of Outside Sales

 Description:  The Chicago Fire Soccer Club is seeking an Outside Sales Representative. The Chicago Fire is seeking energetic, outgoing, and soccer-passionate individuals to represent the club at home game and events throughout the Chicagoland community. These candidates will be an integral part of all grassroots sales efforts via brand building and driving ticket sales throughout the Chicagoland area. This part-time, paid position aims to provide those seeking future sports employment with excellent resume-building grassroots sales, marketing, and events experience with a professional team.

 Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):

  • Represent the Chicago Fire Soccer Club at soccer and non-soccer related events such as youth soccer tournaments, festivals, picnics and community events throughout the Chicagoland area year round
  • Raise brand awareness and sell tickets at grassroots events
  • Exemplify the core characteristics of a strong sales culture  e.g. strong interpersonal skills, prompt and professional follow-through, openness to new ideas and suggestions, as well as exhibiting constant “Fire” enthusiasm toward internal and external contacts
  • Create and foster a positive sales culture within the sales team, as well as the entire front office
  • Represent the Chicago Fire and its respective partners/sponsors with enthusiasm, energy, pride, passion and professionalism

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ticket Sales & Service Internship - Beginning Fall 2017 - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

Expectations:  Is it your dream to work in the sports industry? If so an internship with the Chicago Fire Soccer Club can be the first mile of your marathon!  As an Intern with the Chicago Fire Soccer Club, you will aid the club in continuing to strive to be a premier club on and off of the pitch, you will play a large role in the achievement of this goal by executing projects and by being a part of the day to day activities of the Club.  We are seeking interns that will take steps on their own to grow and hone their craft. As an Intern you will be expected to give maximum effort every day you come to work. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sales & Service Team with various tasks.
  • Work with the sales representatives on group sales initiatives and lead generation research.
  • Game day duties include: group data collection and operational duties.
  • Attend Chicago Fire Matchdays and Events as needed
  • Assist on matchdays with groups, client interactions and youth experiences
  • Making outbound phone calls to Chicago Fire fans and prospects.
  • Data entry, filing, organization and inventory
  • Assisting other departments with various tasks
  • Assist with direct mailing campaigns 

Additional Duties: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Chicago Fire Soccer Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company. Upon employment, the employee is required to fully comply with Chicago Fire rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of company facilities. Employees who violate these rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. 

Qualifications:
