 POSITION TITLE: 50/50 Raffle Seller

DEPARTMENT: Chicago Fire Foundation

REPORTS TO: Events and Development Coordinator, Chicago Fire Foundation

The Chicago Fire's goal on the field is to play hard and win. Its goal off the field is to contribute to the quality of life in Chicago and its surrounding communities. Through the Chicago Fire Foundation, the Fire is able to give back by developing programs that reach out to Chicagoland's community. Must be able to attend orientation on March 4, 2017.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chicago Fire Foundation is looking for high-energy, motivated sellers to join our 50/50 raffle sales team for the 2017 season.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

·         Sell 50/50 raffle tickets in an enthusiastic manner

·         Actively approach fans pre-game and in-game to explain the details of the 50/50 raffle program

·         Utilize portable electronic tablets and printers for the sale of tickets

·         Accurately handle all transactions and distribution of tickets

·         Answer fan questions regarding raffle program, as well as basic TOYOTA PARK and Chicago Fire     information

·         Understand the mission of the Chicago Fire Foundation

·         Represent the Club and Foundation as brand ambassadors

·         Time Requirement: Arrive 90 minutes before game time. Shift ends during the second half.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Must be 18+ years old

·         Must have reliable transportation to TOYOTA PARK

·         Must be prompt and arrive to games on time

·         Must be a responsible, motivated individual with a competitive spirit

·         Must have superior customer service skills

·         Must demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the Chicago Fire

·         Must be able to take and follow directions well

·         Must be able to work a minimum of 10 Chicago Fire home matches (March-October)

·         Prior customer service or sales experience is a plus

·         Candidates must be willing to work nights and weekends

Chicago Fire Rec Soccer - Event & Operations Intern - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Chicago, IL)

Chicago Fire Rec Soccer (CFRS) is looking for a smart, service orientated, customer facing passionate individual who is interested in joining the Fire family. Our department organizes and coordinates adult recreational soccer leagues for coed and men's teams. The intern will be expected to work some nights and weekends (about 15-20 hours/week).

CFRS is the largest adult rec soccer provider in Chicago. Our home - The PrivateBank Fire Pitch - is the premier soccer facility in the city. As we grow, we're looking for driven young professionals to join our team. Let us know if that sounds like you!

Corporate Partnerships Intern - Summer 2017 - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

Expectations: We are looking for a smart, driven and reliable individual to join our team as a Corporate Partnership intern in order to assist us in providing the highest level of service to all of our Partners.   As an Intern with the Chicago Fire Soccer Club, you will aid the club in continuing to strive to be a premier club on and off of the pitch, you will play a large role in the achievement of this goal by executing projects and by being a part of the day to day activities of the Club.  We are seeking interns that will take steps on their own to grow and hone their craft. As an Intern you will be expected to give maximum effort every day you come to work. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Partnership Marketing Account Executives with delivering superior Activation:  coordinate/execute all partnership elements/assets for each assigned partner.  This includes but is not limited to (1) game-day activation and events at Toyota Park, and (2) non-game day events and promotions, including but not limited to clinics, tournaments, player appearances, special promotions, and sweepstakes execution, and (3) partner-related hospitality activities.  May require local travel and nontraditional hours.
  • Assist with Corporate Partnership department projects, including, but not limited to: pre-season action plans, post-season recaps, department events, premium item coordination, tracking social media promotions, organizing matchday and event photos.
  • Research activation concepts for partners as needed. 
  • Support Fire operations necessary to execute partner activation plans.
  • Regularly support Corporate Sales team with communications and ideas/solutions for assigned partners and future partners.
  • Regularly provide Research/Market Awareness to keep up-to-date with current partner news
  • Coordinate any sponsor-related projects as assigned by Director of Partnership Marketing or Vice President of Corporate Partnerships.

Qualifications:

Event Operations Intern - Summer 2017 (Mid-May-August) - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

The Chicago Fire is looking for students who are interested in gaining experience in operations and how a professional soccer club operates. Students who are available from Mid-May through August are preferred. The Fire accepts a limited number of internships to ensure that interns gain valuable work experience. All Chicago Fire Internships are unpaid and must receive school credit.


Responsibilities: 

  • The primary responsibility is to provide event and game day assistance to gain experience in the Operations Department. This includes:
  • Credential preparation and management
  •  Pre-game preparation
  • Game day operation responsibilities which includes assistance in managing our pre-game festival area - Fire Fest
  • Grassroots marketing efforts
  • Coordination and interface with Fire players, coaches and mascots at community  appearances, autograph signings and events - must have professional demeanor
  • Front office maintenance projects, maintenance of company vehicles, facility upkeep, equipment storage and inventory
  • Occasional First Team operational needs
  • Interns will be expected to work select weekend and weeknight events along with ALL games. Game day duties may include working on promotions, customer service, stadium set-up and teardown. 
  • Candidates should be very comfortable performing physical labor duties on a daily basis. Previous experience in Event Operations is ideal and a strong leadership background is a plus.
  • Candidates available from Mid-May - August are preferred. 

Additional Duties: 

  • May be required to assist other departments with various projects
  • Inter-Department Training Program for Ticket Sales, Marketing, Communications and Corporate partnerships will be provided.

Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to receive course credit for Internship   
  • Students should be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree from an accredited university
  • Available for 3 – 4 weekdays per week
  • Students should be well organized and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision

Fan Experience Intern Summer 2017 (May-Sept) - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

Expectation: Chicago Fire is seeking a smart, service passionate individual who is interested in joining the Fire in the Fan Experience/Customer Service department as an intern. This department focuses on improving the overall gameday experience for our fans through building vendor relationships, tracking feedback and executing the Chicago Fire CHAMPS service and recognition program. This position will be expected to work some nights and weekends (about 20-25 hours a week), including 100% attendance for Chicago Fire home games.

Graphic Designer Intern - Winter/Spring 2017 - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview/Chicago, Il)

Expectations: The Intern Designer position for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club is responsible for any and all creative undertakings by the club across a variety of media including web, print, promotional items and stadium installation/environment. The intern will service all departments with any creative or design needs, from initial concepts to final production, execution and/or distribution. The Intern Designer is responsible for maintaining the visual integrity of the club as perceived by the market, and for strengthening brand presence within that market. He or she must demonstrate the ability to supply creative solutions on a daily basis to a variety of requested projects while remaining organized and on task. Internships are unpaid (except for $100/month transportation stipend) and available only to persons who will receive college or graduate level credit for their work. The Fire accepts a limited number of internships to ensure that interns gain valuable work experience.

Responsibilites:

  • Organize and manage multiple projects in various stages of progress
  • Formulate design concepts, presentations, templates, layouts, merchandise, installations and other collateral from initial idea to final execution
  • Create advertising campaigns that are followed across a variety of collateral
  • Develop understanding of target audience and market for specifically aimed marketing pieces
  • Present or pitch ideas, briefs, and concepts to various parties, in and out of house
  • Prioritize and filter work load coming from all departments through a design request form system
  • Design advertisements, print materials, still digital imaging and web graphics
  • Meet all advertising and print deadlines
  • Contribute to the invention and implementation of marketing/communications initiatives

Requirements

Chicago Fire Soccer In The Community – Little Sparks Coach

Chicago Fire Soccer In The Community are looking for enthusiastic coaches to join our growing team to coach Little Sparks (2-5 year olds) and Soccer School (6-16 year olds) programming throughout Chicagoland.

As a coach for Soccer In The Community, you will be expected to deliver a fun and engaging soccer experience, represent the Chicago Fire Soccer Club in a positive and professional manner, and promote current and future programs.

Little Sparks is available to children ages 2-5 year olds so therefore the expectation is that coaches are willing and able to keep the young children engaged while introducing them to the basic components of soccer.

Chicago Fire Soccer In The Community coaches have two main responsibilities;

·       Players – Implement the Little Sparks curriculum to the high standards expected of the Chicago Fire.

·       Parents – Be able to answer questions about current and future programs.

Player Operations: Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapy/Doctor
Massage Therapist - Soccer Operations - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

Purpose:  To improve the overall treatment and care of our athletes and club by improving operational efficiency and creating greater personal attention. (Must have Professional or College Sport Experience.)

Massage:

1.    Create individualized soft tissue treatments utilizing a multitude of modalities for optimal performance, efficient recovery, and timely return from injury

2.    Effectively manage and communicate a constantly evolving massage schedule

3.    Clear and rapid communication regarding treatment findings with medical and technical staff

4.    Provide house calls when appropriate/necessary

5.    Maintain active involvement with daily medical staff meetings

6.    Stay current with research on soft tissue techniques and recovery modalities

Assist Sports Medicine Staff:

1.    Assist with treatment modalities when needed/appropriate

2.    Administer water, OTG, and/or electrolyte drinks during training and matches

3.    Prep the training room before halftime with hydration equipment, ice towels, heat packs, and anything else necessary for all home and away matches

4.    Locker room liaison for all needs during home and away matches

Assist Equipment staff:

1.    Load and unload bus for all away trips

2.    Day of game preparations on the field and in the locker room

3.    Daily training preparations on the field and in the locker room

4.    Stock/manage supplies

Assist fitness staff:

1.    Prep recovery shakes for post training and post match

2.    Prep post training nutrition

3.    Collaborate on optimal recovery strategies

Assist admin/operations staff

1.    Away game logistics for transportation, accommodation, and player needs

2.    Manage trialists (documentation, travel, housing, etc)

3.    Assist with new player acclimation

4.    Create and manage an all-time player database

Off season:

1.    Continue treatment with the players until they are fully dismissed?

2.    Continue treatment with the players actively involved in rehab and recovery/return to play strategies?3.    Continue treatment with the players that are still around the Chicago Area during the off season?

4.    Collaboration with the sports medicine staff and strength staff for injury prevention strategies, off season training program, recovery and nutrition?

5.    Planning along with the sports medicine staff for preseason proceedings in a multidisciplinary environment

Chicago Fire Soccer In The Community – Seasonal Training Positions

Chicago Fire Soccer In The Community are looking for passionate coaches to join the team to work on the Club’s Seasonal Training Programs starting in April. The length of these programs are generally 12 weeks, running from April to June.

As a member of the Soccer In The Community coaching team, you will be placed in a club program within the Chicagoland area. You will work with players of different age and ability and expected to be able to work with different levels of players and be experienced in dealing with a variety of on/off field situations.
