Administration/General Management: Administrative/Executive Assistant
Academy Manager - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

POSITION PURPOSE:

Focused on providing logistical, administrative and operational support to all Chicago Fire Academy/Player Development Programs. These programs include, but are not limited to, The Chicago Fire USSDA Academy, Chicago Fire Youth Academy, and Chicago Fire PDL/U-20/U-19 Programs. This position also provides synergy between the Academy program and the CFJ, Chicago Pre-Academy and CFR.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Academy Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Secure all logistical arrangements for all away events
  • Research options for ground and air transportation
  • Advance scouting of and securing of field, training and dining locations
  • Work with technical staff on developing training and match schedules
  • Provide daily communication to USSDA Academy player & parents regarding necessary logistical information
  • Manage Academy/Player Development Budget
  • Assist PDL Technical staff in all administrative aspects of the PDL program
  • Liase with Equipment Manager on all Player Development team equipment needs.
  • Manage and track all equipment needs when Player Development teams are away from Toyota Park
  • Provide travel information for all parents of Academy members
  • Maintain player emergency medical information
  • Manage all aspects of risk management within the Player Development program
  • Obtain specific match information from opposing clubs
  • Liaise with US Soccer on best utilization of US Soccer travel partners
  • Manage and Direct all operational aspects of staging first class Academy Home matches
  • Manage all Academy administrative duties including and not limited to: player registration, records management and league correspondence
  • Organization of all Player Development  tryouts

OTHER:

  • Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company

  • Extensive travel required

  • Bachelors degree or higher is required

  • USSF “ B” Coaching Licenses or equivalent  "preferred"

  • 2-3 Years of Soccer Administrative Experience

  • Previous USSDA/USYSA Club experience "preferred"

Communications Internship - 2015 Season - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club is seeking a motivated individual to assist with daily media relations duties and game day media operations. This position is for an individual with exceptional written and verbal communications skills. The individual should possess strong time management skills and the ability to multitask.

Applicants should have a strong understanding of the Chicago Fire and Major League Soccer. 

This is an unpaid internship and is for college credit only. Proof that you are receiving credit is required. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Compilation of daily Fire coverage
  • Assist in managing Social Media results
  • Management of Fire media distribution lists
  • Research for and write press releases and other Communications projects
  • Produce Fire related content for press releases and website
  • Participate in Communications department meetings and events
  • Assisting in all aspects of press box operations on game days including press box setup, managing Media Will Call, transcribing quotes and additional duties.

Sales & Marketing: Client Relations/Customer Service
Fan Experience Coordinator - Feb 2015 - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

We are looking for a smart, service passionate individual who is interested in joining the Fire in the Fan Experience/Customer Service department as a Part-Time Coordinator. This department focuses on improving the overall gameday experience for the fan through building vendor relationships, tracking fan feedback and executing the Chicago Fire CHAMPS service and recognition program.  The coordinator will be expected to work some nights and weekends (about 25 hours a week), including 100% attendance for Chicago Fire home games. This position begins in early February 2015 and runs through mid-June with the opportunity to run longer.

Responsibilities:

Graphic Design Intern - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

Graphic Designer Intern

Reports To:
Senior Manager of Creative Services

EXPECTATIONS:
The Intern Designer position for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club is responsible for any and all creative undertakings by the club across a variety of media including web, print, promotional items and stadium installation/environment. The intern will service all departments with any creative or design needs, from initial concepts to final production, execution and/or distribution. The Intern Designer is responsible for maintaining the visual integrity of the club as perceived by the market, and for strengthening brand presence within that market. He or she must demonstrate the ability to supply creative solutions on a daily basis to a variety of requested projects while remaining organized and on task. Internships are unpaid (except for $100/month transportation stipend) and available only to persons who will receive college or graduate level credit for their work. The Fire accepts a limited number of internships to ensure that interns gain valuable work experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design
• Organize and manage multiple projects in various stages of progress
• Formulate design concepts, presentations, templates, layouts, merchandise, installations and other collateral from initial idea to final execution
• Create advertising campaigns that are followed across a variety of collateral
• Develop understanding of target audience and market for specifically aimed marketing pieces
• Present or pitch ideas, briefs, and concepts to various parties, in and out of house
• Prioritize and filter work load coming from all departments through a design request form system
• Design advertisements, print materials, still digital imaging and web graphics
• Meet all advertising and print deadlines
• Contribute to the invention and implementation of marketing/communications initiatives

Demeanor

GUEST SERVICE AMBASSADOR DESCRIPTION: The game-day Guest Service Ambassador will work Chicago Fire soccer events at TOYOTA PARK. Street Team Member - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Chicago, IL)

The Chicago Fire is seeking energetic, outgoing, and soccer-passionate individuals to represent the club at home game and events throughout the Chicagoland community. These candidates will be an integral part of all grassroots marketing efforts via brand building and driving ticket sales throughout the Chicagoland area. This part-time, paid promotional position aims to provide those seeking future sports employment with excellent resume-building grassroots marketing and events experience with a professional team.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to):

  • Represent the Chicago Fire at soccer and non-soccer related events such as youth soccer tournaments, festivals, picnics and community events throughout the Chicagoland area year round
  • Raise brand awareness and sell tickets at grassroots events
  • Serve as an knowledgeable source on club news and happenings in the community
  • Set up and transport various interactive elements of the Chicago Fire (truck, interactive activities, tables, tents, etc.) for area events and Chicago Fire home matches
  • Execute all activations and promotions on matchday including our 2-hour pregame festival (“Fire Fest”), pre-game, and halftime (e.g., t-shirt toss, recruiting fans for promotions, mascot escort)

QUALIFICATIONS:
