Background: After winning three USL-Pro Championships over a four-year span, Orlando City SC quickly set the standard for professional soccer clubs, both on and off the field, and was awarded the 21st franchise in Major League Soccer (MLS) on Nov. 19, 2013. The Club began MLS play in Central Florida in 2015, setting league attendance records for an expansion side in its first season and has welcomed over 60,000 fans for consecutive season-opening matches in 2015 and 2016. The Lions, who currently hold the second highest average attendance in the league, will begin play in a privately funded, state-of-the-art downtown stadium in the 2017 MLS season.

Position Summary: Orlando City SC is looking for a creative and driven Digital Media Intern to assist in running the team website and more. This person will work alongside the Director of Digital Media and have a chance to learn how content management systems, web design, and web management work. At the conclusion of the internship, this person will have a working knowledge of website management and be able to pursue digital positions across many industries. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO RECEIVE COLLEGE CREDIT FOR THIS INTERNSHIP.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Post content to website using Content Management System.
  • Make website updates using simple HTML.
  • Create new web pages from promotions and partners using HTML.
  • Track website traffic through google analytics

Qualifications:

  • College student seeking communications, PR, or marketing related degrees.
  • Interested in pursuing a career in digital media.
  • Experience with basic photo editing.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.

Position Description: Fan Ambassadors are responsible for providing an exceptional experience for every guest that attends an Orlando City SC or Orlando Pride game or event. This may include, but is not limited to, welcoming guests at our gates, listening to fans needs and constructive criticism on game days, taking heed of things that need to be corrected, assisting the Guest Experience Department at various Orlando City and Orlando Pride events, and reporting all fan concerns and feedback to the Guest Experience Department.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engage and interact with fans throughout the stadium.
  • Ensure that fan concerns are heard and reported to the appropriate departments.
  • Have full knowledge of all policies, services and facility locations inside our new downtown stadium.
  • Act as information liaison for all Orlando City and Orlando Pride home games and stadium events.
  • Accurately and successfully communicate all key messages to guests.
  • Project an approachable, professional attitude at all times.
  • Assist with orientation of stadium.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful customer service situations.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Must be fan-friendly and become familiar with the stadium in order to provide accurate directions throughout the facility.
  • Must commit to work all Orlando City and most Orlando Pride games throughout the season.  Additional event attendance may be required. 
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 3 to 4 hours at a time.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work for all games.
  • Prior customer service experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of soccer preferred, but not required.
  • Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese a plus.

Position Summary: We are looking for friendly Merchandise Sales Associates to help customers identify and purchase the products that they desire. Sales Associates are responsible for selling, restocking and merchandising the Orlando City ‘Team Stores’. The goal is to provide first class customer service and to drive Orlando City’s growth and revenue through increased sales.

Position Summary: The Performance Nutrition Intern will work closely with the Team Performance Nutritionist and Kitchen Coordinator in performing a variety of tasks supporting the MLS, NWSL, USL and Pro Academy teams, as assigned. This person will provide dedicated support on the day-to-day nutrition duties and work as an integral part of the nutrition program; fueling and hydrating our players on training days and game days. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing, purchasing, and stocking food/supplies and supplements for the meal room/kitchen, locker room, and game day.
  • Assist with breakfast and lunch meals (prep, serve, clean up) per team meals.
  • Monitor meals for quality control and menu adherence.
  • Maintain equipment, including warming units, blenders, refrigerators and microwaves.
  • Assist with individual daily nutrition plans; Pre, during and post-workout nutrition prescriptions determined by Team Performance Nutritionist.
  • Assist with hydration and body composition testing, as needed per Team Performance Nutritionist or Performance Staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Team Performance Nutritionist and Kitchen Coordinator.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis in a health related field: Nutrition, Exercise Science, Human Performance, Wellness, Culinary Arts, etc. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish/Portuguese a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Maintain highest level of professionalism and confidentiality within a pro-team environment is required.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and have a strong sense of accountability.
  • Possess a positive, outgoing, engaging and professional personality.

This person will work alongside the Social Media Coordinator and will have the opportunity to learn how to run social media accounts on a professional level. Concluding this internship this person will know how to create and write interesting content for fans, cover live events in real-time, and track campaigns through analytics.   • Use photos and web content to create interesting posts on a daily basis.

This person will work alongside the Video Production Coordinator and will have the opportunity to learn the planning and production of all video content related to Orlando City SC. Concluding this internship this person will know how to operate cameras and edit videos that meets the energy of our enthusiastic supporters. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO RECEIVE COLLEGE CREDIT FOR THIS INTERNSHIP.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Shoot game day footage for social media and news outlets.
  • Shoot daily events in an ENG format while being able to also shoot creative and iconic shots.
  • Edit footage into deliverable content before delivery deadlines.
  • Proactively create ideas that can help create interesting content and opportunities.
  • Organizing assets/logging footage.
  • Assisting in game day operations for the video production crew.
