Player Operations: Coach
ECNL Program Coordinator - Orlando City Youth Soccer (Orlando, FL)

Department: Youth Soccer
Reports to: Technical Director

Position Summary: Elite Club National League (ECNL) is the highest level of play for girls and boys in the United States. As Central Florida’s leading program for developing players, the Program Coordinator coaches youth players, developing the curriculum, and assists in scouting and recruiting talented players for the ECNL program within guidelines established by Orlando City Soccer Club, ECNL and US Soccer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and organization of ECNL team tryouts.
  • Assist with college placement and meetings.
  • Follow the curriculum and sessions set by Technical Director.
  • Abide by all guidelines and develop training programs for weekly training sessions for team.
  • Coach games both at home and away on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain highest standards of player/coach conduct during games, showcases & tournaments.
  • Provide player assessment and feedback on a scheduled basis throughout the year. 
  • Responsible for coordinating and managing ECNL travel arrangements.
  • Coordinate home game day operations.
  • Scout and recruit talented potential ECNL players.
  • Maintain a schedule of matches to attend.
  • Maintain a positive and transparent image as an Orlando City representative.
  • Attend scouting meetings and classroom sessions.
  • Attend training sessions to observe current players.
  • During the ECNL off season, work with junior academy to develop future ECNL players.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience working in soccer at regional league level and higher and/or collegiate levels.
  • Possess USSF “A” or “B” license or equivalent. Preferably passed within past 3 years.
  • Knowledge of ECNL structure, guidelines and responsibilities.
  • Proven experience and success in collegiate recruiting and understanding of youth to college pathway.  
  • Demonstrated ability to teach techniques, tactics, physical and psychological components of soccer.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate and educate youth players and coaches.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Embrace change and adopt Orlando City style and philosophy and ensure coaches follow curriculum.
  • Strong organizational and personnel management skills.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task effectively. 
  • Knowledge of professional sports team operations, public relations, and/or sponsor relations preferred.
  • Degree from accredited university in a physical education, natural science or sport management field preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Position Summary: Orlando City SC seeks an enthusiastic and skilled sales leader for the position of Group Sales Manager. The ideal candidate for this position has previous sports ticket sales experience and proven leadership ability. The Group Sales Manager will assist the Sr. Director of Sales and oversee aspects of developing and executing group ticket sales plans to maximize revenue. A dotted line manager, this position requires an organized approach to motivating and coaching a team of group ticket sales representatives, as well as meeting individual sales goals. The ideal candidate for this role is motivated to pursue additional leadership opportunities in sports ticket sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, establish, research and close group ticket sales leads through cold-calling, prospecting, appointments and networking.
  • Meet or exceed weekly/monthly sales and prospecting goals.
  • Work with the Sr. Director of Sales during the candidate interview process as well as provide coaching and performance feedback for group sales team members.

 Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of sales experience in professional or collegiate sports (or related industry) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience managing a team in a sales environment.
  • Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
  • Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Position Summary: The Marketing Intern will report to the Director of Marketing. This position will assist with the daily marketing activities of the Club, including but not limited to, coordination of Team City events, grassroots marketing efforts, gameday responsibilities and marketing events. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and logistics for Team City, and assume leadership role within the team.

Position Summary: Orlando City SC is looking for motivated Sales Interns to assist our Group Ticket and Premium Sales Department with day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will receive instruction under the Sr. Director of Sales / Director of Premium Sales & Service and will have the opportunity to supplement classroom instruction and gain practical experience in group sales for a professional sports team. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be present for all games and special events as needed.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations including, but not limited to:
    • Assisting sales reps with lead generation, mailings, and promotions.
    • Learning all aspects of the sales process including Archtics.
    • Assisting the sales department with research of various teams regarding sales collateral, pricing, benefits, seating charts, maps, etc.
    • Responsible for assisting sales staff with support, projects, and operations during game days, including suite service, running fan experiences, etc.
    • Customer interaction via phone, email and face-to-face.
    • Fulfill ticket orders and packages.
    • Data entry.
    • Preparation and execution of ticket sales events including set-up, data capture, etc.

Qualifications:

Position Summary: Orlando City SC is seeking energetic and self-motivated individuals interested in obtaining practical and relevant experience in the field of sports marketing through various events and event promotions. This position will primarily assist in grassroots marketing efforts at specific events within the Central Florida community. The part-time employee will mainly work on weekends with some weekday events throughout the year.

  • Ability to effectively communicate current Club promotions.
  • Ability to create a fun and engaging environment with potential Orlando City fans.

Player Operations: Coach
Youth Academy Program Coordinator - Orlando City Youth Soccer (Orlando, FL)

Department: Youth Soccer
Reports to: Technical Director

Position Summary: Orlando City Youth Soccer Club (OCYSC) academy teams participate in SRPL, FSPL, FPL, Region B and/or GCF. This position oversees all girls and boys 11v11 formatted teams within these leagues. As Central Florida’s leading program for developing players, the Program Coordinator assists the Technical Director in all facets of program management, player and coach development.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Technical Director on all club activities including development of club teams, coaches, players and strategic growth.
  • Ensure program is operating according to OCYSC mission, vision and values.
  • Oversee OCYSC academy purple, white and gold level teams.
  • Hiring of all 1099 independent coaching staff with Technical Director.
  • Observe and evaluate practice sessions and home games.
  • Educate, develop and give a positive soccer experience to all players/families.
  • Declare teams in appropriate level leagues.
  • Ensure OCYSC is represented at league meetings.
  • Educate and develop coaches, monitor and perform annual performance review with Technical Director.
  • Work with Junior Academy Program Coordinator
  • Ensure regular communication occurs with players and families.
  • Where necessary manage and resolve conflicts that arise with players, families and coaches.
  • Coordinate and execute tryouts and team formation.
  • Monitor all players’ registrations for all teams.  
  • Advise players on collegiate placement and educate players and families on process.
  • Attend tournament & showcase events to assist with college placement.
  • Player placement to PDP, Training Center, Youth National teams, Generation Adidas etc.
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with club, league, collegiate and association representatives.
  • Proactive communication with players, families and collegiate coaches.
  • Attend club’s games to scout and identify new players and coaches.
  • Represent Orlando City at meetings, public events and in our community.
  • Provide content for website and news.
  • Deliver club playing styles and expectations of player development through the Academy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in youth soccer.
