Position Summary: Orlando City SC is seeking hardworking, positive and knowledgeable individuals for part-time opportunities in support of the Stadium Operations Department. Typical hours are between Monday and Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performance of routine repetitive tasks: e.g., filter changes, lamp replacements, faucet metering, stadium seat repairs, etc.
  • Minor construction, wood & metal work, electrical & plumbing repairs, aesthetic improvements, etc.
  • Assist the Stadium Engineer in the maintenance, repair, and monitoring of multiple stadium systems.
  • Escort and support of service contractors.
  • Standby support for both sport and non-sport events.
  • Technical triage of failures on electrical, mechanical, plumbing and kitchen equipment.
  • Emergency repairs of stadium systems.
  • Communication of situational status to appropriate parties.
  • Setting of table and chairs, including acting as lead for contracted labor.
  • Compliance with the Stadium’s Operational Policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • This is a skilled position requiring at least 3+ years of experience in one of these trades: electrical, mechanical or plumbing. 
  • Hotel, restaurant, convention center, arena, commercial real estate, manufacturing or service company experience will be considered. 
  • Ability to use standard hand & power tools, climb ladders and lift 50 lbs.
  • Required to operate carts and lifts; scissors, boom & fork. Lift certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Customer centric mindset and sensitivity to VIP status is an important skill set for this position.  The OCSC has a high public profile and excellent community reputation.  Service delivery in the stadium will reflect the Club’s standards.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays might be required.

Position Summary: This position will assist the Stadium Operations Department with event set up and tear down. Ranging from special events to soccer games, this position will require the Event Conversion Member to set up, assemble, fix, move, or store all stadium operations equipment and furniture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload materials from the warehouse or maintenance shop.
  • Set up Bike Rack, Tensa Stanchion, Tables, Chairs, Tents, Trash Cans and Furniture for events.
  • Set up, power and calibrate Magnetometers for events.
  • Assemble event signage and deploy around the stadium.
  • Strike all equipment post event and move into designated storage areas.
  • Inventory Stadium Operations equipment and furniture.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school preferred.
  • Must be able to work all Orlando City, Orlando Pride and OCB games.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and stand for long periods.

Graphic Design Internship (Fall 2017) - Orlando City Soccer Club (Orlando, FL)

Position Summary: Orlando City SC is looking for a creative and driven Graphics Design Intern. This person will work under the direction of the Graphic Design team, and will have the opportunity to learn how to design and produce marketing collateral for the Club. Concluding this internship this person will know how to design, prepare and present marketing collateral, within the marketing department for a professional sports team. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO RECEIVE ACADEMIC CREDIT FOR THIS INTERNSHIP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with design of ticket collateral (single tickets, season tickets, season ticket holder books).
  • Work with design team on producing advertising material (print, out-of-home, etc.).
  • Assist with creation of interactive design (website design, Facebook images/tab design, etc.) for Orlando City, Orlando Pride, OCB and youth properties.
  • Assist with corporate sales fulfillment (when necessary) and collateral.
  • Provide input and assistance with overall look of branded signage at the stadium (JumboTron, LEDs, banners, etc.).
  • Support design team with presentations, collateral and photo editing.
  • Assist with minimum of two gamedays per month or as needed.

  Qualifications:

  • Applicants should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis in graphic design, marketing, or related field. Candidates receiving credit for participating in our internship program are preferred.
  • Interested in pursuing a career in graphic design, marketing, etc.
  • Basic understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Exceptional reliability, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of a wide variety of graphic design applications platforms.
  • Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere.
  • A sense of humor is a must. Prepare to tell us a good joke in your interview.

Position Summary: Orlando City SC is looking for a creative and driven Social Media intern to assist in running the team social media accounts and more. This person will work alongside the Social Media Manager and have a chance to learn how Orlando City SC runs their social media accounts, covers events and games, and much more. Concluding this internship this person will have a working knowledge of social media management in sports and be able to pursue digital positions across many industries. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO RECEIVE ACADEMIC CREDIT FOR THIS INTERNSHIP.

  • Post content to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.
  • Edit social media graphics.

Background: After winning three USL-Pro Championships over a four-year span, Orlando City SC quickly set the standard for professional soccer clubs, both on and off the field, and was awarded the 21st franchise in Major League Soccer (MLS) on Nov. 19, 2013. The Club began MLS play in Central Florida in 2015, setting league attendance records for an expansion side in its first season and has welcomed over 60,000 fans for consecutive season-opening matches in 2015 and 2016. The Lions, who currently hold the second highest average attendance in the league, play in a privately funded, state-of-the-art downtown stadium in the 2017 MLS season.

Position Summary: Orlando City SC is seeking energetic and self-motivated individuals interested in obtaining practical and relevant experience in the field of sports marketing through various events and event promotions. This position will primarily assist in grassroots marketing efforts at specific events within the Central Florida community. The part-time employee will mainly work on weekends with some weekday events throughout the year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate current Club promotions.
  • Ability to create a fun and engaging environment with potential Orlando City fans.
  • Creatively solve problems at events.
  • Organize and manage all marketing assets, equipment, inventory, etc. at events.
  • Responsible for event set-up and tear-down and ensure proper care of marketing assets, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communications Skills.
  • Must be available to work at least two events per month.
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation.
  • Must be at a minimum, the equivalent of a sophomore at the undergraduate level.
  • Must be able to work games and events throughout the summer months.
  • Available to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Physical demands include lifting or folding inflatables along with other Marketing related assets.
