Background: After winning three USL-Pro Championships over a four-year span, Orlando City SC quickly set the standard for professional soccer clubs, both on and off the field, and was awarded the 21st franchise in Major League Soccer (MLS) on Nov. 19, 2013. The Club began MLS play in Central Florida in 2015, setting league attendance records for an expansion side in its first season and has welcomed over 60,000 fans for consecutive season-opening matches in 2015 and 2016. The Lions, who currently hold the second highest average attendance in the league, will begin play in a privately funded, state-of-the-art downtown stadium in the 2017 MLS season.

Position Summary: Orlando City SC seeks a highly motivated individual capable of assisting the Community and Foundation Relations Department with managing and promoting community development initiatives. The CR department is responsible for coordinating player charitable appearances and the distribution of signed team items for nonprofit charities to utilize in their fundraising efforts. A portion of our community outreach is accomplished through the Orlando City Foundation whose mission is to reduce obesity in children by using the sport of soccer to promote exercise and healthy eating with children and families in our community. We do this by providing programming in underserved communities that includes soccer clinics, nutrition initiatives, equipment distribution, and mentoring and education focused endeavors. This unpaid internship is designed for students working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree seeking relevant job experience in their field of interest. This candidate will work alongside both the Events Coordinator and the Programs Coordinator. This person will learn how to organize community and fundraising events as well as executing game day promotions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the fulfilment of community donation requests.
  • Assist with the preparation and shipment of game day posters.
  • Assist with game day activities.
  • Assist with planning, facilitation, and execution of foundation events.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

 Qualifications:

  • Applicants should be should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis in event management, sports management, or community relations. Candidates receiving credit for participating in our internship program are strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Google Drive and Google Docs.
  • Maintain highest level of professionalism and confidentiality within a pro-team environment is required.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have a strong sense of accountability.
  • Possess a positive, outgoing, engaging, and professional personality.
  • Strong understanding and passion for the sport of soccer is preferred.
  • Ability to work nontraditional hours in nontraditional settings, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Other Details:

  • Schedule expectation is 10-12 hours per week, of which 6-8 hours will be in office and 3-4 hours per game day.
  • Orlando City office hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Intern hours must be scheduled in a minimum 3 hour block of time on any given day. 
  • Preferred scheduling of Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday with one weekend game shift.

Position Summary: The Corporate Partnership Director/Manager is primarily responsible for generating new business revenue with local, regional and national companies through the sale of integrated sponsorship packages of the Orlando City assets. The Corporate Partnership Director/Manager will sell fully integrated marketing, media and promotional programs that include marketing rights, on premise signage, game sponsorships, promotions, event marketing and media exposure.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and close new corporate sponsorship and media partnerships.
  • Establish strong working relationships with local, regional and national companies to understand individual marketing and business goals and initiatives.
  • Identify key open categories and new categories as prospective new business leads.
  • Develop unique and customized proposals and sales presentations for new business prospects.
  • Negotiate sponsor contracts pending final approval by the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships.
  • Renew and grow existing corporate sponsorship and media partnerships through continued outstanding service and upselling of additional sponsorship assets into current partnership agreement.
  • Work closely with other members of the Orlando City sales team to achieve property goals while meeting personal sales and account management objectives.
  • Create individualized sponsorship packages and activation programs through existing or created Orlando City assets to address prospective sponsor marketing/business goals and to extend internal company goals.
  • Work game days, weekends, and special events to entertain existing partners and new business prospects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of extensive and proven integrated sales experience with demonstrated success in the media, sport sponsorship or entertainment fields.
  • Experience in the Florida marketplace preferred but not necessary.
  • Outstanding communication skills are essential for interactions with clients, operational leaders and other senior executives.
  • Demonstrated professional sales presentation skills

Position Summary: The Event Lead Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the enforcement of venue event policies and procedures, managing contracted game-day staff and assisting in the oversight of the venue's operational security and guest services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Security & Guest Services Manager in managing/overseeing staff during stadium events.
  • Conduct pre-event briefings for event staff as required.

Position Summary: Orlando City SC is seeking a Multimedia Coordinator who will be responsible for content creation in both the video and digital realm. We are seeking a multi-talented individual who can shoot, write, and code.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Shoot video & edit content for features, highlight videos and future use.
  • Write, produce and edit original video content for games, events, etc.
  • Maintain video archive.
  • Work closely with other departments (marketing, sponsorship, communications, etc.) to fulfill video needs.
  • Set up and execute live streaming content for press conferences or special events.
  • Manage website updates, content postings, and page creation.

 Qualifications:

Position Description: Orlando City SC is seeking hardworking, positive, and passionate individuals to work as Ticket Office Representatives for the upcoming season(s) at the Orlando City Stadium. The Ticket Office Representative is a part-time/gameday position and is responsible for selling tickets and providing exceptional customer service to the public at the stadium on event/game days.  This position is hourly and applicants must live in the Central Florida area.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sell tickets to customers using the Ticketmaster software.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while processing ticket orders and/or solving ticket related issues.
  • Be prepared to answer general questions regarding seating, pricing, stadium policies, and event details.
  • Accurately process customer ticket orders.
  • Accurately balance cash drawer at the end of each shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service and cash handling experience.
  • Computerized ticketing experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and able to listen and communicate effectively.
  • Proven job reliability, dedication, strong work ethic and responsibility.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of the team. 
  • Ability to count money and make change accurately.  
  • Ability to take and follow instructions. Exceptional communications skills. Position will work closely with the public.
  • Possess strong computer skills and be able to comprehend basic mathematics.
  • Available to work most events at the Orlando City Stadium (evenings, weekends, and holidays may apply).

Position Summary: The Workforce Coordinator will serve as the main volunteer program coordinator and play a pivotal role in delivery of the workforce for gameday. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with key operational tasks associated with producing all Orlando City SC gamedays. This person will also assist in the transition and operation of the new Orlando City SC stadium opening in 2017.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with managing the delivery of assigned game, event and club operational responsibilities (MLS/USL/NWSL gamedays, MLS/USL/NWSL Preseason games, tournaments, special events, etc.).
  • Develop, implement and manage volunteer program that includes policies, procedures, rewards program and standards of volunteer service which include customizing materials, developing presentations as well as managing training logistics.
  • Oversee all recruiting, training, and retention of volunteers.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance of volunteers.
  • Prepare data sheet for personnel prior to each gameday.
  • Analyze data from gameday and present reviews and recommendations.
  • Participate in weekly gameday production meetings.
  • Assist VP of Gameday Operations with creation and implementation of new programs.

 Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Previous professional soccer/match operations experience preferred.
  • Previous event experience in a workforce operations role is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of customer service practices and event services.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and supervise activities of volunteers, interns, contractors and vendors.
  • Must have excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal, problem solving, written and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work quickly and handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
  • Possess strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
