Columbus Crew SC is offering a Brand Ambassador Internship for the 2016 season to share his or her contagious passion for Crew SC throughout the community. This internship offers both in-office and external experiences to build personal connections and brand awareness.

The 2016 Brand Ambassador Internship requires 15-20 hours per week and has flexible hours to accommodate an academic schedule. Candidates must be a recent graduate or actively pursuing education in Communications, Marketing or related field of study.

Opportunities & Responsibilities

·         Assist Marketing Department and Crew SC Brand Ambassador in planning and executing events and promotions

·         Share passion for soccer with supporters, client, vendors and the community

·         Prepare materials, maps and serve as on-site point of contact for brand events

·         Assist with logistics for brand events including setup, execution and tear down

·         Prepare and anticipate marketing needs for individual activations, events and promotions

·         Assist with social media, gathering information, taking and posting photographs and writing brand appropriate content when necessary

·         Track branding events and contacts, including name, date, location, and contact information

·         Distribute Crew SC collateral

 Required skills, experience & abilities

·         Actively enrolled in a college or university program or recent graduate

·         Accounting – Housed in Crew SC’s Finance Department, this internship offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in accounting, but also experience in a professional sports environment.

·         Communications - the Communications Intern plays a role in all departmental activities, including day-to-day media relations, player communications, match day press functions and content development for all digital platforms.

·         Community Relations Supporting Crew SC’s Community Relations & Foundation Department., this internship offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in donation requests, organization wide volunteer programs, player appearances and Columbus Crew SC Foundation events.

·         Corporate Partnerships – Gain experience in the management, activation and service of Crew SC Corporate Partnerships.

·         Creative Design –Crew SC supports an in-house full service design group responsible for all of the Club’s marketing and brand collateral.

·         Database Analytics - Experience reviewing and analyzing data within our Sales & Marketing Department.

·         Digital and Social Media - Gain experience in digital and social media in a professional sports environment.

·         Grassroots Marketing – Assist with development of Crew SC grassroots initiatives and will be responsible for extending the Columbus Crew SC brand within the state of Ohio by assisting with key events, building relationships with event stakeholders and researching new techniques, approaches and set-ups.

·         Grounds - Responsible for the upkeep of the Stadium pitch, Stadium landscape and the EAS Training Facility. The Grounds Internship provides students with hands-on experience with professional sports turf management.

·         Marketing - Experience and assist with the day-to-day Club marketing activations and responsibilities. The Marketing Intern focuses on expansion of the Crew SC brand in the broader market as well as Crew SC matches.

·         Matchday Communications – Involvement in all departmental activities on Crew SC Matchday, including, but not limited to media credentialing, check-in, photo marshal assistance, statistical creation and distribution as well as post match quote transcription

·         Matchday Operations – Involvement in a variety of sports marketing related experiences, specifically in event production, fan development and promotions. 

·         Photography - Assist the Club’s creative services in cataloguing and managing photo databases as well as photographing matches and other Crew SC events.

·         Player Development - Experience the day-to-day operation of Crew SC Academy, Player Development system and Crew SC Camp Programming. The Player Development internship is a great way to interact and collaborate across the Club.

·         Stadium Operations - With a focus on safety and security, this internship offers practical experience in ensuring supporters and guests’ positive experience at MAPFRE Stadium.

·         Ticket Operations – This internship offers exposure to basic ticketing practices and operating systems as well as development of customer service and communication skills.

MAPFRE Stadium is currently seeking part-time seasonal Event Day Ticket Sellers for the upcoming 2016 season. Ticket Sellers are primarily responsible for processing single ticket sales, distributing Will Call tickets, and assisting customers at Guest Services at MAPFRE Stadium. Ticket Sellers are often the first representatives to greet fans and must possess superior customer service skills in order to provide a first class impression to customers. Ideal applicants must have strong communication skills in order to provide accurate information to guests in regards to Crew SC matches and MAPFRE Stadium events, promotions, pricing and policies.

Event Day Ticket Sellers’ hours will vary depending on the MAPFRE Stadium event schedule. Ticket Sellers are expected to work at least 75% of Crew SC home matches and MAPFRE Stadium events.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·         Process advance and day-of ticket sales for all matches and events at MAPFRE Stadium

·         Assist customers using the Ticketmaster operating system (both Classic and Archtics)

·         Become knowledgeable in pricing, discounts, promotions, MAPFRE  Stadium policies and procedures

·         Sort, file and print customer will call

·         Assist in match-day event setup and breakdown

·         Process multiple forms of payments, including cash and assist with balancing at the end of each event

·         Assist in resolving patron conflicts and complaints

Required skills, experience & abilities

Columbus Crew SC is searching for part-time seasonal Grassroots Marketing Team members for the next season for data collection & brand expansion via community event activations, MAPFRE Stadium events, home matches, and other special events. This opportunity offers frequent interaction with Crew SC supporters, guests and members of the greater Columbus community.

To join the Crew SC Grassroots Marketing Team presented by MAPFRE Insurance, candidates must be students actively pursuing education or recent graduates. Team members are required to attend all Crew SC home matches and MAPFRE Stadium events and a minimum of 75% of other events. Hours for this position vary throughout the season and include many nights and weekends. The position requires variable hours with approximately 5-10 hours a week in the spring and 18 - 20 hours a week in the summer.

Columbus Crew SC is seeking an Audio Engineer within our Matchday Production Team. The candidate will have a vision for enhancing the team’s brand, is detail oriented and possesses the knowledge needed for live event production. The Audio Engineer will work in a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively within the production team, and communicate effectively. This position is based in Columbus, Ohio.

The Audio Engineer is responsible for mixing audio elements for in-stadium production. The position is required to work Crew SC home matches and major MAPFRE Stadium events including some evenings, weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·         Setup and operate audio mixer, mics and related hardware

·         Oversee all audio operations including but not limited to, audio runner and music positions

·         Oversee production room audio feeds to/from videoboard sound system, concourses, TV truck pad, radio booths, press box, suites, media room, field and plaza locations

·         Maintain and troubleshoot wireless and wired communication system

·         Run sound checks for Matchday ceremonies and other related stadium events

·         Setup and troubleshoot wired and wireless microphone equipment

·         Setup and troubleshoot in-ear audio monitors

·         Assist in improving quality and process of audio distribution throughout stadium

·         Interacting with players, staff, supporters and media in a professional manner

Required skills, experience & abilities

MAPFRE Stadium is looking for Seasonal Facilities Assistants for the 2016 season to help cultivate an outstanding environment for patrons, athletes and entertainers. The Facilities Assistant position is an excellent way to gain hands-on experience in day-to-day operations and maintenance duties as well as event production. Seasonal Facilities Assistants will work closely with the Director of Facilities and Facility Coordinator.

The position requires 20-30 hours per week and all Crew SC home matches and MAPFRE Stadium events. Work is often in the evenings and on weekends and the position has flexible hours to accommodate an academic schedule.
