Columbus Crew SC is seeking a Client Service Coordinator to ensure a positive overall supporter experience and maintain season ticket memberships through the team’s passionate supporters. The position is responsible for providing first-class service including developing strong relationships with clients and identifying opportunities for business growth.

The position is based in Columbus, Ohio and reports to the Director of Premium Sales and Service. The Client Service Coordinator is required to work all Crew SC home matches and most other MAPFRE Stadium events including some evenings, weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create a first-class rapport with season ticket members, clients and supporters of Columbus Crew SC
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Crew SC season ticket members
  • Build strong relationships with season ticket members through proactive communication including seat visits, phone calls, e-mails, off-site meetings and other channels    
  • Develop and execute creative solutions with clients to ensure a high level of satisfaction with the Crew SC brand
  • Identify opportunities for up-sells, add-ons, and referral business from clients as well as collaborate with sales representatives to maximize revenue
  • Assist in development and execution of membership benefits and programs
  • Support Match-day responsibilities including on-field program execution, membership service program execution and staffing coordination
  • Support client base in teaching ticket utilization techniques
  • Meet defined membership extension and new business goals
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Experience & Abilities

  • Undergraduate degree in communications, business administration, sports management or related field required
  • High proficiency in building and maintain positive relationships

Columbus Crew SC is seeking a Director of Marketing & Advertising to lead coordination of marketing, advertising and promotional directives across the Club. This position is an integral part of the Marketing Department and focuses on maximizing Crew SC ROI through advertising initiatives, expanding the Crew SC brand throughout the community, collaborating with the Ticket Sales department to drive ticket revenue and develop new ticket promotions. This position also functions in a service role for all internal departments to execute various marketing support needs.

The Marketing & Advertising Director reports directly to the VP of Marketing & Communications and works closely with the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, execute and track advertising campaigns to drive ticket revenue and brand awareness
  • Analyze conversion data to develop strategic marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Place, traffic, and negotiate media buys in radio, television, digital, print, and outdoor media channels, maximizing the promotional value received
  • Collaborate with design and media production team to develop creative that elevates the Crew SC brand and promotions within the market
  • Assist Corporate Partnership department in fulfillment of partner contracts by customizing promotions with the intent to drive revenue, increase awareness, and encourage engagement
  • Work closely with Ticket Sales department to create, develop and execute effective promotional strategies to drive ticket sales and data capture
  • Collaborate with media partners to develop promotions with the intent to expand brand awareness and increase ticket revenue
  • Customize copy for radio, television, social media, web, and in-match public address announcements to ensure messaging consistently follows brand guidelines
  • Effectively and efficiently manage marketing and advertising budget.
  • Lead Grassroots Marketing initiatives including managing staff, budget and promotional materials
  • Work outside Crew SC promotional events, as well as all Crew SC home matches and MAPFRE Stadium events as needed
  • Assist the Marketing Department in other activities as assigned.

Required skills, experience & abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading marketing, advertising and promotional initiatives. Experience within the Columbus market a plus
  • Demonstrated understanding of media planning and buying with experience trafficking media and collateral projects
  • Experience developing promotions and working with media outlets to expand promotional reach

Columbus Crew SC is seeking an Information Technology Manager to oversee all technical aspects of the Club and Stadium. This position works as a liaison across all departments to use technological resources to help maintain and grow our soccer and event business operations. The IT Manager will plan, organize and execute specific departmental IT needs, including the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.

This position will also establish Crew SC’s technical vision and lead all aspects of the Club’s technological development. This position is based in Columbus, Ohio and reports to the SVP of Finance and Administration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead all aspects of Information Technology throughout the Club, Stadium and off-site training facility
  • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and devices
  • Plan, execute and maintain unique equipment additions and configurations for special events such as concerts, football games, and US Soccer matches
  • Support administration of servers and storage devices including off-site hosted email management
  • Manage all system back-up
  • Manage a software licensing plan including purchasing, updating and replacing licenses as necessary

Columbus Crew SC is seeking a Safety and Security Manager to lead security initiatives at MAPFRE Stadium and EAS Training Facility at Obetz. The Safety and Security Manager is primarily responsible for developing and implementing procedures and protocols which ensure the safety of staff, guests and supporters at all Crew SC facilities. This position also serves as a safety & security liaison between Crew SC and Major League Soccer, US Soccer and other external organizations including local/national government agencies including law enforcement and fire.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day and event day safety & security operational needs for Columbus Crew SC, MAPFRE Stadium, and EAS Training Center at Obetz
  • Plan, develop, and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and safety of guests, stadium employees, athletes & entertainers, contractors, physical property, and IT infrastructure
  • Direct the planning of event-specific security and staffing plans including collaboration with appropriate law enforcement agencies.  Manage relationships and coordinate the scheduling of external event staffing personnel such as private, local, state & federal safety & security agencies
  • Develop, document, execute and review security and safety programs, policies, and procedures as appropriate
  • Provide effective training to all employees, including full-time, part-time and seasonal staff, regarding their roles in emergency response situations. Compile safety and security reports for each event as required by Major League Soccer or event promoters
  • Monitor and document all medical and security incidents including compiling incident reports, video footage, and other action reports as necessary
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Grounds, and all other internal departments to successfully execute events

Required skills, experience & abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree with background in events, operations, logistics, law enforcement, or related field
  • Demonstrated understanding of safety and security policies and protocols with a large venue
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations and security preferred
  • Maintain Trained Crowd Manager, AED, CPR, and First Aid certifications
  • Ability to work discreetly with sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to proactively build and strengthen partnerships with local/national government agencies
  • High ability to take initiative as well as anticipate and solve problems; sometimes in high pressure situations

Columbus Crew SC is seeking a Ticket Operations Coordinator with an emphasis on the back of house ticket process for Columbus Crew SC and events at MAPFRE Stadium. This position collaborates closely with sales staff as well as serves as an integral member of the ticketing department, which includes two Ticket Operations Coordinators and the Director of Ticket Operations.

This position is based in Columbus, Ohio and will report directly to the Director of Ticket Operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accurate fulfillment of individual, group and season membership accounts throughout the Crew SC season including processing financials, distributing tickets and creating receipts among others
  • Create and manage the event building process through ticketing system (Ticketmaster)
  • Supervise one of three Ticket Operations managed locations for all MPAFRE Stadium events (two stadium ticket offices and Supporter Services)
  • Aide in supervising all internship and part-time staff processes including interviews, education and training and scheduling
  • Aide in ticket office management for staffing, fulfillment and ticket related inquiries
  • Process and fulfill all non-Crew SC event orders including concerts and additional sporting matches
  • Work closely with the Finance department to create daily deposit summaries, payment transfers and check requests
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Required skills, experience & abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated Ticketmaster experience with Archtics, TM Classic (HOST), and EMT
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred

Columbus Crew SC is seeking Player Development Coaches for ages 6-18 in our Player Development Department. The positions are considered independent contractor relationships and each Coach will have specific training sessions and games to run around the Greater Columbus area. Crew SC will work with each Coach to determine the best fitting age group and level based upon qualifications.

Player Development Coaches are expected to actively communicate with players and parents, develop players both on and off the field and demonstrate the high expectations and level of professionalism associated in working with a professional sports organization.

Player Development Coaches report to the Player Development Director of Operations and involve close collaboration with the other coaches and the full Player Development Department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·         Design and Implement high-level, professional coaching sessions following the Columbus Crew SC philosophy, methodology and curriculum

·         Schedule and lead weekly training sessions each season

·         Serve as a brand ambassador for Columbus Crew SC representing the brand positively at all times and within the community

·         Communicate weekly with Player Development Directors

·         Game day preparation and team management at games

·         Help conduct, lead and support age group tryouts

·         Attend internal Crew SC Player Development trainings and meetings and pursue continuing education opportunities

·         Annual Season: late May, 2016 through mid-June, 2017

Required skills, experience & abilities

·         Be available to start position May 26, 2016

·         Minimum of USSF “E” License

·         Minimum of 2 years’ youth soccer coaching experience

·         Must be at least 18 years of age and high school diploma/GED required; higher education preferred
