Columbus Crew SC is offering a Database and Analytics Internship designed to offer experience in reviewing and analyzing data within our Sales & Marketing Department.

The 2017 Database and Analytics Internship is available for students actively pursuing education and academic credit may be available. The internship requires approximately 15-20 hours per week at MAPFRE Stadium and collaborates closely with the Manager of CRM & Analytics.

Opportunities & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sales department with lead generation and tracking
  • Gain experience with SalesForce including creation and execution of reports
  • Assist with email marketing efforts throughout the organization including weekly email marketing performance reports, audience analysis among others
  • Assist in support in the areas of email marketing, database marketing, database management, market research, website analytics and sales analytics
  • Support market research efforts through survey creation, analysis and presentation of findings

Required skills, experience & abilities

  • Undergraduate (junior or senior) or recent graduate with an emphasis in analytics or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic understanding of direct marketing and sales including direct mail, outbound telemarketing and email marketing
  • Strong analytic, quantitative and data interpretation skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Familiarity with HTML a plus

 Description
Columbus Crew SC is looking for an Executive Assistant to primarily support the President of Business Operations for Columbus Crew SC and MAPFRE Stadium.  In addition, this position will also support club Ownership and other club Leadership personnel while simultaneously serving as office manager. The Executive Assistant position shall be responsible for: establishing and maintaining the schedule of the President of Business Operations, including planning and scheduling internal/external appointments; preparing and editing correspondence, reports and presentations; making travel arrangements; organizing and maintaining files and records, and managing the day-to-day operations of the office (e.g. ordering office supplies).

The Executive Assistant will report directly to the President of Business Operations. This is a professional position that will interface with employees, vendors and the community.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Providing daily support to President of Business Operations and club Ownership
  • Screening calls, managing calendars and making meeting & event arrangements for the President of Business Operations and Ownership
  • Coordinating travel arrangements for Senior Leadership positions
  • Completing and submitting expense reports on behalf of President of Business Operations and Ownership
  • Organizing, maintaining and updating necessary administrative materials and files
  • Managing minutes for staff meetings and other various meetings
  • Maintaining contact information and organizational databases in Excel and Outlook
  • Supporting other departments/staff during Crew SC games and special events including those scheduled on nights and weekends
  • Interfacing with VIP clients and VIP guests during business hours and building events including those scheduled on nights and weekends
  • Overseeing all office machines and supplies, including: copiers, faxes, printers & postage machines
  • Monitoring and maintaining the staff kitchen/break areas 

Required skills, experience & abilities

  • 2 years of Assistant or Office Manager experience preferred
  • Two year or 4 year college or university degree preferred
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff as well as outside clients, vendors, prospects, and guests
  • Discretion and confidentiality required
  • High ability of focus and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously as well as meet and perform under tight deadlines
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently

MAPFRE Stadium is seeking part-time seasonal Experience Team Members for the 2017 season. Experience Team Members serve in an important capacity including Ushers, Greeters and Ticket Takers among other guest service roles.

The Experience Team plays a vital role when it comes to creating a clean, safe, and enjoyable experience for our fans and guests. As the first point of contact for guest requests and needs, courteous hospitality must be exhibited at all times. Experience Team Members are encouraged to be proactive in every area while demonstrating a professional manner.

All Experience Team Members are responsible for providing exceptional customer service at MAPFRE Stadium by making every effort to ensure a positive guest experience. The Experience Team serves an essential function by hosting guests visiting the stadium and by utilizing an ever-growing knowledge of our facility and events.

The hours for Experience Team Member positions are highly variable and dependent on the Crew SC and MAPFRE Stadium event schedule. Experience Team Members are required to work events in their entirety including pre- and post-event responsibilities as well as at least 80% of Crew SC home matches and MAPFRE Stadium events.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide highest level of customer service to ensure guests’ expectations are met or exceeded and their overall experience at MAPFRE Stadium is positive and memorable
  • Create a welcoming experience for guests
  • Facilitate all guest-related matters in a professional and courteous manner through creative problem-solving
  • Scan tickets for entry with a smile and friendly greeting
  • Check tickets and direct guests to appropriate seats in all areas of MAPFRE Stadium
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the venue policies, procedures and event information
  • Enforce policies during an event to assure the safety and security of all guests
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all patrons and fellow staff members

Required skills, experience & abilities

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and must be legally eligible for employment in the United States (proof of eligibility will be required prior to beginning work)
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 80% of all scheduled MAPFRE Stadium events. The Major League Soccer (MLS) season begins in March and generally ends in November
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population, including strong verbal communication skills. Second language a plus
  • Ability to maintain friendly demeanor and professional behavior with guests, supporters and staff in pressure-filled situations
  • Ability to take on any role within the Experience Team (and switch roles as necessary) depending on event requirements
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and may include walking long distances and climbing stairs
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential for success
  • Ability to stay alert and observant during Crew SC home Matches and MAPFRE Stadium Events to ensure patron safety
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions that includes the extreme heat, cold , rain, sleet, snow and direct sunlight
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

Columbus Crew SC is seeking an Information Technology Intern to support Crew SC’s IT Department. The internship offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in IT and also experience in a professional sports environment.

The IT Internship requires 15-20 hours per week and offers a balance between hours in the office and Matchday participation.  This internship has flexible hours to allow the opportunity to learn from experienced IT professionals while balancing a course schedule simultaneously. The internship reports directly to the IT Manager and is based at MAPFRE Stadium.

Opportunities & Responsibilities

  • Assist with Windows desktop support including practical experience in configuration, set-up and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in Windows Server management including Active Directory, File and print server, DNS and DHCP management
  • VMware server environment management including use of end user virtual desktops.
  • Assist in Cisco network and phone system management including experience with Cisco Unity.
  • Collaborate with IT Manager with end user support with Windows 7, 8, 10 and MAC OS as well as email set-up on mobile devices.
  • Participate in event management including set-up of additional connection points for vendors as well as Crew SC staff while monitoring connectivity needs throughout major MAPFRE Stadium events.
  • Researching new technology in order to improve infrastructure and productivity.
  • Special requests & reporting as needed.

Required skills, experience & abilities

  • Actively enrolled in a college, university or technical  program or recent graduate in IT or related field
  • Basic knowledge of CISCO switches, routers, wireless access points, andwireless LAN controllers.
  • Knowledge of both PC and Mac technologies.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
