Events & Operations Intern (SPRING) - Chicago Fire Rec Soccer (Chicago, Il)

Chicago Fire Rec Soccer (CFRS) is looking for a smart, service orientated, customer facing passionate individual who is interested in joining the Fire family. Our department organizes and coordinates adult recreational soccer leagues for coed and men's teams. The intern will be expected to work some nights and weekends (about 25 hours/week).

CFRS is the largest adult rec soccer provider in Chicago. Our home - The PrivateBank Fire Pitch - is the premier soccer facility in the city. As we grow, we're looking for driven young professionals to join our team. Let us know if that sounds like you!

Instructions for candidates:

Responsibilites/Duties may include:

Title:Graphic Designer Intern

Reports To:Senior Manager of Creative Services

Expectations: The Intern Designer position for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club is responsible for any and all creative undertakings by the club across a variety of media including web, print, promotional items and stadium installation/environment. The intern will service all departments with any creative or design needs, from initial concepts to final production, execution and/or distribution. The Intern Designer is responsible for maintaining the visual integrity of the club as perceived by the market, and for strengthening brand presence within that market. He or she must demonstrate the ability to supply creative solutions on a daily basis to a variety of requested projects while remaining organized and on task. Internships are unpaid (except for $100/month transportation stipend) and available only to persons who will receive college or graduate level credit for their work. The Fire accepts a limited number of internships to ensure that interns gain valuable work experience.

Position Responsibilites:

  • Organize and manage multiple projects in various stages of progress
  • Formulate design concepts, presentations, templates, layouts, merchandise, installations and other collateral from initial idea to final execution
  • Create advertising campaigns that are followed across a variety of collateral
  • Develop understanding of target audience and market for specifically aimed marketing pieces
  • Present or pitch ideas, briefs, and concepts to various parties, in and out of house
  • Prioritize and filter work load coming from all departments through a design request form system
  • Design advertisements, print materials, still digital imaging and web graphics

Requirements

Responsibilities:

2016 - Summer Internships - FC Dallas Youth Development System - FC Dallas (Frisco, TX)

FC Dallas Youth Development System has created a unique hands on experience for students looking to gain experience in the Sports industry.We are looking for several bright, passionate, hard-working students to be a part of our team through our internship program. 

FC Dallas Youth has over 100 boys and girls Select teams ages U11 to U19 with over 2500 players. Teams are located throughout the Dallas area and play at all levels including Divisions I, II, and III in classic league and lake highlands girls classic league, as well as in Plano and Arlington. Our teams continue to excel both locally and nationally. FCDY players represent our program in the most prestigious programs including (but not limited to) ODP, id2, ECNL, Development Academy, various National Teams, and have also been drafted to play professionally both here in Dallas, and for International Clubs worldwide.

All internships for FC Dallas Youth are unpaid internships, and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports industries. Hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights, weekends and holidays will be required.

FC Dallas Youth Club Internship: FC Dallas Youth is seeking an intern to assist the FC Dallas Operations Manager with all aspects of preparation and execution of the 2016-2017 season. 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the execution of the 2016-2017 Tryouts on July 1st-3rd
  • Creation of player packets for all players trying out
  • Creation of manager books for all team managers
  • Assist with all coach/manager meetings

FC Dallas School of Excellence programs are specifically designed for players and coaches to develop solid fundamentals of soccer in an educational, structured, energized and professional manner at one of the best soccer complexes in the country.

Duties include:

  • Assist the Juniors Player Development department in marketing, administration, scheduling, and facilitation of events including soccer camps, soccer clinics and coaching education sessions.

Requirements

  • Must have previous experience playing Soccer
  • Must hold a valid driver license and clean driving record.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess a working knowledge of the internet, MS Word, MS Excel and previous database experience.
  • Ability to work in outside weather conditions to include hot, humid and wet conditions.

Job Description: The Game Day Photography Intern is a part-time, seasonal, non-exempt, paid position.  The intern will assist with editing the club's photos taken by multiple professional staff photographers, choosing selects, and delivering to media outlets. The hours of this part-time position will vary—generally, interns will work during the season on game days, between 4-6 hours per game.  Most game days are scheduled on Saturdays, with the occasional opportunity to help with mid-week matches /international friendlies.

Responsibilities:

  • Post-production editing of staff photographers’ photos within game day workflow
  • Assist the Art Director with game day photography needs

Required Qualifications:

Position Summary: Orlando City SC is seeking hardworking, positive and passionate individuals who wish to supplement their classroom instruction with practical experience facilitating key operational tasks associated with the production of professional soccer games. Interns will have a direct role in executing match operations such as presentation, field setup, locker room requests, etc. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to oversee back of house operations including setup/teardown, locker rooms, stadium management, etc. Interns will work under close supervision of the VP of Gameday Operations and Operations Coordinators.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with gameday/event management and set-up/breakdown for all MLS, NWSL, USL and Pro-Academy home games as assigned.
  • Arrange visiting team’s requests, working with the venue and other departments to fulfill the team’s needs.

POSITION SUMMARY
Sporting Kansas City internships allow college or graduate-level students to hold a temporary position within the organization, with emphasis on training and gathering practical experience in sports operations by doing a wide variety of different tasks assigned by their Team Lead.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Learn how professional sports venues operate by collaborating with the Operations Team at Children’s Mercy Park with every hosted event, experiencing as many aspects of operations as possible.
  • Assist in the setup and execution of corporate meetings, weddings, holiday parties, special sporting events (i.e.; college football, U.S. Soccer, rugby, soccer clinics, etc.), large and small scale concerts, or any other applicable event.
  • Learn and participate in the organizational philosophy of a Pristine Stadium for all events.
  • Assist in the setup and execution of special, non-stadium events (not at Children’s Mercy Park), such as video shoots, Swope Park Rangers games, corporate meetings at the Lowe & Campbell building, events at the training facility, etc.
  • Perform routine Stadium and Event Operations functions for Sporting Kansas City game days, including, but not limited to, setting up and taking down tables, chairs, pipe and drape, inflatables, bike racks, stanchions, signs and field board signage.
  • Assist with game day presentations and operations such as the National Anthem, Color Guard, Military Family, halftime promotional events, coordinating giveaways, Ball Kid Coordinator, Media Will Call, Walk of Champions, Flag Kids, etc.
  • Assist with the accreditation process.

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
